so congratulations jacek dgen community which we are a part of so i'm excited and i know he's gonna do a bit of a celebration in february in poland so there you go this from dan update to warpcast rewards for week of january 7 2025 rewards pool increased from 7,000 to 10,000 new add 1500 points to your score by inviting someone to farcaster minor algo change to reward people for casting a bit more tier 1 to 4 payouts increased and tier 5 has an additional plus 100 eligible winners so now there's a top 500 instead of a 400 so that's exciting and i was a little disappointed in myself last week because i did not end up i was like number 70 the week before then last week i was like 260 something and i was like oh that's a little sad but you know what i had to remember it's not my worth mhmm it's just not my worth i'm currently number 52 i had to go look it up

what is happening builders builders are head down what do

i mean i get it i get it it's hard to stay up on all the things this from also from dan i have seen a few casts recently on how we should attract more developers to farcaster and i wanna ask you about this heavyweight in talking to developers building on farcaster today and developers who built on farcaster previously and then stopped the top request is more users why more users more users on farcaster means more people to potentially use their product if the product is a business more usage means more opportunity to make more money and acquiring users for an app or service is really hard so what are you doing to attract more users 1 continue to iterate and scale opportunities for users to make money farcaster native assets frames usdc rewards etcetera continue to work on the core features of the social network these features create retention 3 additionally we're scaling the underlying protocol with snapchain the current version of hub don't scale another 10 x that's what we're focused on there are no other priorities at the moment so erica what are your thoughts on attracting developers anything resonate with you from what dan is saying and and what's been your experience as you're building uno

the war chest yeah exactly yeah i think and i think rewards has been a good start and now it's really about like okay but how do you start to bring new folks in and then adding this piece of okay let's incentivize the inviting and hopefully that starts to because that's been what dan's been asking when people ask him what can we do to help grow forecast he says invite people

and then some of us i think were very active in doing that early on and then kinda went okay people kept falling off and not you know so you just kinda go i already tried i don't wanna try anymore this gives you the incentive to try again so i do think that's yeah

is thriving so that's what that is and then this from dan maybe okay so actually let me go back this from jayce farcaster influencer is a bit delusional it's kind of like a high school yearbook superlative as it suggests popularity but you wouldn't put it on your resume and you can't really monetize it in the real world in a non mlm way that part i don't really agree yeah maybe and then this was from dan maybe not traditional influencer but plenty of economic value has been created for people who have taken farcaster seriously over the last few years beyond the on chain opportunities plenty of people get jobs raised funds as a result and then there's a little bit more from jace i was saying elsewhere that influencer might not be the best term here since we are a niche social corner e g people who that are influencer esque here might be better termed as lifestyle personalities but the idea of brand deals and mass reach may be early and or incompatible with this space web 3 is still too risky and opaque for mass adoption in a lot of ways so scalability is capped at the people who are here and already get it versus accessibility of web 2 everyone who has a phone and a computer okay great points you know i think the term influencer is where people get a little tripped up but if you think about it from the perspective of does this person influence people to take action yes we can clearly point to those people and that was adrianne's point right yeah with linda and matthew and we've seen that over and over again yeah so many times the freaking toast facers

everyone was buying toe spacers and then suddenly there were feet all over our feed and then the next thing you know kia launches the toast spacer token i mean like they we've had those moments happen a few times with different products so from that sense yes but also tiny tiny audience so you know no one's making bank like you know kim kardashian for for casting yet but at the same rate we can definitely see the folks who influence behavior so

yes that's a great point yeah that's a great point yeah because you do get a you can get a few of those larger accounts who are if they're all talking about the same thing all of a sudden everybody's talking about it so and that's what we've seen happen with something like toast facers or the internet great yep something smaller yep i have an internet and a red light mask i don't have the red light mask yet but i keep meaning to order it and then i was back and forth on it and i was like doing research and then i'm like just get the one linda said like why are you even the and do wufy great yeah two jobs from farcaster and both of them have raised money because of farcaster yep so we know that there's it's just a little different and you know i obviously we found some success of being able to monetize what we're doing so we know that there's there's possibilities here but the criticisms are i think on point it's a very small
