think that's interesting though i love that because i was thinking the same thing i i kept thinking about i'm still trying to get logged into the chat i kept thinking about like this is so easy to game like this is so easy to spin this but you know the you know sometimes people's lives get in the way and that seems to be what's happened with this for sure is that dan had a little bit of a busy day on friday so he got you know normally it should have been an easy win right it should have been no problem and if it's a little challenging

absolutely i think i love what he's been doing i think it's been a lot of fun i think there's been a little bit of pushback on some of the like it taking over the feed kinda thing but i think you know it's just a matter of time before you can mute channels and things like that to make that less of an issue so i'm not like that concerned about it but i think it's a lot of fun too it's a lot of fun i think it gives you it drives some engagement and in terms of like you know i think anything that's fun and we'll talk about far castles in a minute i think is is is great for you know qdau if you will the taking the take the taking over the feed

absolutely and it's finding your way and i think that i think the other thing we're seeing with people who are coming over from twitter too is like they're finding their way of like what's the best engagement here and it's not necessarily the same and i'm i'm having those conversations constantly with friends of mine who have some pretty big followings over on twitter they're trying to figure out how to come over and i'm like you don't need the same amount of people like to have a bigger impact yeah we're starting we're starting to see people get that you know like that's it's more about quality and and it's really you know that's where you really need to dig in for sure that was one of

yeah definitely i think that you know i like the some of the adjustments that have been made for the channel host where we can warn and hide rather than just hide you know we have hide quietly and then we have worn and hide i'd be like we can say hey you know this maybe doesn't belong in this channel why don't you try over here and give a moment to like hopefully that's an education moment rather than you know you're driving us crazy kind of thing and then you hope it it they take the note and if they do great and if they don't you you move on then so let's move on a little bit because i mentioned that dan was really busy on friday here was what he was busy with we had a little channel squatting situation pop up and i loved loved loved this cast and this tweet from cameron and put it in both places so this is from at cameron quoting this into here so people can come down about the channel squatter guy i did the research before forming my opinion so you don't have to and he really did a great job of sharing all this information 3 relevant things no squatting f names farcaster names and channels has been dan's position from day 1 and he's never wavered in the messaging 2 channels aren't in the protocol yet so that's also very clear and context matters and this is the context and it shows the list of the different channels that this particular person squatted so you know there's a lot of controversy on this a lot of people had different feelings and sort of i

yeah so for me yeah all of them so for me this was a no brainer like if you're squatting you're literally just trying to extort let's be honest you're trying to extort from some of the big brands and get them to pay you for a channel that you're never gonna use if this had been a different situation where maybe somebody from of stau had grabbed it and they were actually earnestly using it i would probably have had a very different feeling and and maybe dan would have had had as well but this to me was like an obvious like let's not pull this you know web 2 bs that we've been doing all along over here and like you know if you're using it great but if you're not like come on like don't just hold it for ransom so that was my feeling on it but there was a lot of feelings there was a lot of feelings around this what did you and and dan dan was you know fielding a lot of a lot of fud and a lot of issues so i was like yeah he was maybe gonna lose on on friday but yet still won so impressive but how do you what do you any thoughts on the channel squatting and i know we're we're like we're we're running low on time but let's let's hear what you got on the channel channel squatting

well i think it's also important to note like farcaster the protocol is permissionless warpcast is not warpcast is centralized in you know i mean it is is its own and that's why you know if you want to squat channels we could have a whole other client for that

yeah you can just go at farcewater there you go perfect we already got a name for you okay we're gonna move on from this but thank you cameron for doing that thread i think that was really important yeah we love cameron thank you for that because that was it was very thorough go take a look wanna move on to far castles okay i'm obsessed i'm obsessed with far castles i don't know if you've had a chance to play it's amazing i've been having so much fun and the funny thing that happened was the nouns folk got involved there was it was a funny cast from edit who's one of the team members today's attempts from nouns prop rg boop and imng to gather soldiers soldiers to target a castle inspired me for an idea troops who joined a troop via commander via invite the head of the troop decides when to attack and you get a random bonus multiplier on the attack i just thought it was really funny and then we had dan's comment on this on farcastles farcastles is an interesting fc native game type simple to play just cast attack and then you wanna attack south just for the record of course attack the other direction but you don't wanna do that meme native include a meme image gif when doing the command a potential use cast engagement as a multiplier potential to use both forecaster graph and on chain history via connected addresses as a multiplier which really interesting

balance is not having it appear to people not playing the game same goes for pearl channels that channels can mostly solve this assuming we can figure out which channels benefit from being more narrow casted i e only those that opt in so i know this has been a discussion that we've been having in the we have a little host channel dm chat and dc chat and there's been discussions about token gating channels and how that might help with some of the you know things you don't feel like seeing or maybe you don't wanna see them yet and just kind of narrowing down some of that to make it a little less easier on the on the timeline so i can definitely see that being something that could opt into it like a game channel or even to dgen or things like that so that people can manage their own feet a little better but farcastles has been so fun for me and i really don't understand why i don't it's so simple it's just attack and sell and that's it like and i have to keep telling and people keep asking me you don't need to get an nft no you don't need to sign up for anything no you don't have like gonna keep like questioning everything i'm like no you just that's all you do just type that that's it and you're like oh okay i'll play and it's so i wonder what's been fun is like the lore that's developed and people creating mints and people like really get into it it's just fun so it's a very social game and it's fun and it's been really funny to watch you know the nouns folk or the dao people right people who are used to coordinating large groups are getting a little more into it shocking

with warps now very nice so base gods speaking of base gods we were talking about earlier thou shalt be on chain is now mintable with warps so that was exciting this is really fun news and then we gotta talk about syndicate which we've only got like a minute left yeah we're gonna talk about syndicate frame chain an o p stack l 3 on base and celestial org enabling high throughput through throughput and extremely low gas cost minting an nft cost less than 1 millionth of a penny so syndicate has a really cool new frame for minting you can check that out will papper had an example here we're seeing a lot of frames now with multiple actions action buttons and this is one of them and it's really impressive so make sure you check those out
