Public notice: I'll be deprecating the Morpho Frame (morpho . dtech . vision) we've built more then a year ago over in about a month. Your funds are save and you can use the morpho mini app + app.morpho.org as usual. It's been super fun to drive hundreds of thousands of dollars into self custodial yield that you own and is better then with banks! thank you everyone who played a part and thanks to @kugusha.eth for the idea + Morpho for letting me use the brand and build. Please use the official tools. We don't control any of your funds so nothing is affected or changed. Why am I deprecating it and shutting it down? It's not needed anymore. It pioneered Morpho to consumers on mobile and showed how easy DEFI can be if you want it to be. Morpho has since built great tooling and I urge everyone to use that. You have at least till after Easter to react, though the morpho app exists + the official webpage so nothing you do needs our app anymore.

wishing base all the best with this change, we'll see how smooth the tech will be and how the user numbers and experience are going to look. i appreciate base iterating fast, though going into General availability with Base app December 25, removing social Jan/Feb 26 and reworking the whole app ecosystem March 26 is a crazy 3 month timeline for anyone expected to build on the base app. We'll see how it plays over time. The speed of change and iterations worked for Farcaster with growth momentum and excitement backing it. Hoping we'll see something similar on Base, though the last 3 month timeline may indicate otherwise. Guess it's on us to build the apps (always has been)

I don't think Farcaster is going to fail. I don't think Base is failing. The discussions about both "failing" is because we care. You don't find that non price related care in 99% of ecosystems. We have something special here. glad to see the discussions Though I always remind myself of the above

Very misleading to be a FIP. The Farcaster protocol as laid out in its specification is NOT recieving a direct message system with this update. The Warpcast Direct messaging system will be further opened beyond existing APIs To me that’s great for programmability but NOT a protocol feature! A feature built on top of the protocol sure but not protocol level Though as Frames also are a client level, non protocol feature I get why it may be an FIP Though I already see posts from people saying DCs will be at protocol level because of the FIP label. TLDR: very very excited about DCs opening up, though as always I prefer more precise language 😂 Why DCs matter? Darn it just look at telegram bot markets, they are HUGE! Great for devs, great for AI/programmable workflows!

Farcaster lego's explained Composer action -> launch Mini App -> get back new post Mini App - do whatever within warpcast and maybe new post or just close Cast Action -> Launch Frame (or get info in text message) Frame - do whatever with gameboy style 4 buttons, one display and an input field Bot - reply to some casts with whatever text or embed (image, frame, link, video ....) you want App - an application using Farcaster Data like the Social Graph (following, user data) and posts Direct Messages - direct message someone on Warpcast (not Farcaster generic yet)
