yeah it was at the at that same time and i guess he did actually post it on the base app and had to pull it down because something was going wrong so what you know during this whole process so that's what happened but the explanation about that it could have still been handled more quickly so this was jesse's comment back quiet over there the plan was to be base at first but alas sometimes even the best plans don't hold up to stuff going wrong we'll learn from this and keep getting better he said my apologies for this post being late on the base app tldr app went down because i got dos ed by people sending me tokens with artificially high balances farcaster was also down x was the fallback and got out perfectly and luckily the open markets of base means anyone could buy so it did get out there people were able to buy but it was not not the best and the other thing is that this explanation took too long like as soon as they put it on twitter somebody didn't have to be him but somebody from the team should have posted that in other places like should have posted on firecast and base and and at least said hey this is what's going on and link back to twitter if you needed to so just found that very frustrating but it is what it is we'll get there i did pick up some jesi token i don't know if you did but i grabbed a little bit just to have it and the other thing i always do and i don't know if i don't know how much people do this as well but i always try to sell back what i put in and then just hold the rest if i can if it goes up at all because that way i feel like i don't even have to think about it and it's just like contributing to whatever the creator is doing etcetera etcetera so that's what i did and that's what i tend to do so if you see me sell something that's usually the reason i'm selling back the amount i put in and that way i don't have to think about it

but they really got a bump from fred wilson launching his and he did that this past past week launched his then jake launched his then murtaza launched his so what that meant was all of a sudden paragraph was up towards the top there so that was fun to see but also there was some comments about like oh does this mean writer coins are now a thing and because they got a pop and i don't think you should take anything from that because i do think this is fred wilson specific why it did so well also jake specific why it did so well also you could say the same thing about mortaza because they are like they're a couple of them are professional writers you know they write all the time and they're they're known for writing so i think for those folks it's gonna make sense that their that their coins are gonna do a little bit better but i also think there's a lot of i think we're talking about this in the wrong way and there's like and i'm seeing some equations of like meme coins to writer coins to all these different creator coins and all these things in other words like stop saying when you're gonna update the dex bro to random writer who's launching a coin like enough enough with that like they're not gonna do that they shouldn't be expected to do that and their coin is not gonna make enough money that it's gonna even make sense to do that most people mo for most people it might make sense for somebody who's a little bit more well known but no

an addition creator or to the average creator
i'll say average not an i mean it's possible but even even that no i even i would say right now in this moment it's not gonna be the revenue level is just not gonna be high enough for anybody really it's really not potentially it could be but i think it's a very hard road to navigate it's not is it it's still you're still gonna need sponsors is what i'm coming down to for anything significant you just are i just don't see how we can replace that as much as i would love to i just don't think we're gonna get there i think things that we're calling app coins or other types of meme coins all of it's meme coins first of all and legally you want to call it that number one number two it requires a really high level of attention and so if you're a regular even if you're a regular creator who's doing this all the time even that is may not be enough it's like needs something else to sort of kick that flywheel going and that's why you see quote unquote app coins do so much better than other types of coins because they're they're first of all making the coin useful in their apps and then the app itself sort of drives that attention and activity so i think it's gonna be really hard otherwise to to to get it flying and i think the average creator just isn't gonna put that level of effort in so we'll see

booth looked cool i loved the whole vibe of the space in general from the photos that i saw and the different things that i saw so this is from linda the farcaster booth at devconnect was a success huge thanks to everyone who staffed it to help onboard newcomers and answer questions it was also a popular meeting spot for farcaster community members which was lovely to see people get to hang out in person which i think that is probably the best use case and i feel like at east denver that was the base booth last year it was like that's where you're finding everybody it was it's hard to find people in a you know huge space so that was really cool to see i loved seeing a lot of the pictures that i saw from the booth really fun come on you're gonna be difficult on me and you worked the booth for a little bit so what kind of questions and what were people asking when you were when you were there
it is interesting i did three sessions at the booth and you're and she's right and you're right it was like half like people come up and it's like are you on farcaster it's like yeah i'm on farcaster so people kinda just checking in meeting new people to follow there's and then the other category people were like never heard of farcaster so it's like you're starting from the beginning like what

because i guess vitalik did a talk on trustlessness i think there's a whole trustless day right and that was a little bit i think will said it was a little bit of the a talk about the trustless manifesto and he said like the definition of trust is you can get hurt like if you trust someone someone can harm you and the goal of technology and ethereum i think broadly in the full stack should be trustless which is like set it up so no one could ever harm you

and i think that's like great idea ideology about when you think about kind of like ethereum and then will kind of like it just made him pause for a minute because it was like wait a minute like okay am i supposed to live my life like never trusting anyone and and i know you have your line yes i do up

a tea leaf but it has energy and i think it's like non caffeine energy it's like something else oh but the argentinians are like religious about their mate really point where and it's like very ceremonial so it's almost like you know so there's it's tea leaves you put it in a cup you're pouring in hot water it's you don't strain it so you make it in a way where the tea leaves sit on the top and you sip it through a straw and wow okay super bitter oh it's yerba right so what is yerba symbio i actually should know but it's right so now but anyway does that mean but it's bitter but then you keep adding water throughout the day to the same set of leaves so okay yeah and i thought this was really cool and octon also had patches like these awesome like the ghost and the little ethereum
