you are aaron so there you go this also from dan sign in with varcast is actually signed in with warpcast and then he kinda goes on to refute this a little bit the auth kit library is open source anyone is free to fork it and make it work with their clients sounds like an opportunity for another fork there you go yay the long term goal is to make it work with any farcaster wallet apps that can handle all farcaster specific signatures and transactions for using the on chain hub identity system 3 sign in with farcaster is currently an extension of sign in with ethereum this means that you need to sign in with your farcaster custody address private key which for the vast majority of users is stored on their phone with warp cast many in a passkey 4 we opted for the pragmatic b one where it works reasonably well still some improvements on qr code for most people in a more human readable way around permissions and normal sign in with with ethereum signature and then 5 we will eventually add it to yeah add add make it support multiple farcaster wallets but there has been much demand there hasn't been much demand from users and devs have preferred us to focus on growth he goes on more about that you can check out this cast it will be in our show notes but essentially just kind of describing the sign in with farcaster flow and that's what makes it you know easy to sign in a lot of these apps which i appreciate very much

so moving on things we've got this from vee update experiment was a success power badge is no more in warp cast active users saw no impact and new users benefited from this change warp cast will remove power badges from the ui permanently if you are a developer who uses power badge nanar will continue supporting the power badge api for you wow from the experiment yeah hiding power badges however we'll just be hitting for a week we're running this experiment new users find it hard to get follows due to power badge bias and power badge isn't being used much in webcast anymore so that's a big change that's big news yeah yeah this coupled with the no more auto follow list is is getting interesting here

status as a service is kinda going away so yeah it's it's kinda interesting

thoughts on that any thoughts on the changes i don't know if you've have you noticed any change in like your followers or any changes at all in your algorithm lately

i feel like yeah there's definitely i'm i have a couple things happening one like i feel like my feed's a little better a little more active

but however i feel like i'm still missing a lot of people i'm definitely happy to go like actively find them i'll be like i'll just think of someone i'll be like i haven't seen them cats for a while i wonder if they're just on vacation and i'll go look and like no they're casting multiple times a day and i'm just not seeing it so i feel then i have to go like interact and then i start to see it again but yeah

know so that's working more like traditional social media so yeah that's a good point

and they have to adjust for the larger crowd so exactly that's the other part of this so yeah i agree it's it's interesting and i don't know that i've noticed anything major from the power badge from the auto follow list and the lack of it anymore i have noticed i definitely have fewer followers each week i don't think it's a huge deal personally but there's definitely a significant difference in terms of number of new followers and things like that but hopefully what that means is that other people are getting more followers you know what i mean that's starting to balance out into something that is better for all

i have noticed that yeah and there's been and we didn't talk about this the other day but i noticed like linda had mentioned about you know with moxie we have some new reply meta if you will so she was having some challenges with notifications because she was getting so many more replies because people are farming so trying to sort through and figure out what's real what's not and people are some people are farming pretty intelligently i'll just say that

anytime there's something new we gotta just you know let it settle it'll settle out mhmm it was it's i've definitely noticed some things i i had quote tweeted something and i got like 4 or 5 replies of like did you mean for this to be a reply you must have meant for this to be a reply and i'm like are you meaning for me to reply to your ridiculous reply is that what you're doing see if i'll give you a boost like i'm not gonna do that

that's all you need to do just show up and and you know post cast what you wanna cast and hopefully you know you're casting baggers just be real just be real just be real man

don't so be real sometimes it's hard to tell yeah it is there might be some folks who are just you know they're just your normal reply guys they they they they like to reply a lot and that's you know that's just their normal thing and then you're gonna have others who are specifically trying to farm the moxie so

i am in the camp with dan on this one but also we are people who do not eat fruit so famously so famously so so there's that this from johnny shout out to gt and the warpcast team for improving subscriber only group chats from now on hypersub nfts will get access even if they're hidden on opensea because this is a problem if you run into any issues please reply below so this was a problem with the token group chats from hypersub the token might get dropped and usually did get dropped into your hidden folder at first until you moved it away and out of there you couldn't join the group chat so i i remember when we first had the hypersub and we were setting up the wawa group chat we had to i had to manually add a bunch of people as well so good to see that yeah that's great helpful so appreciate that work mhmm so now those are working properly this was really cool from samuel huber huber no i think it's huber forecaster legos explain composer action launch mini app get back new post mini app do whatever within request and maybe new post or just close cast action launch frame or get info in text message frame do whatever with game boy style 4 buttons 1 display and an input field but reply to some cast with whatever text or embed image frame link videos you want app and application using farcaster data like the social graph following user data messages and posts direct message direct message to someone on broadcast not broadcast or generic and i thought this was helpful in terms of like sort of breaking down the different developer tools or options
