0:13Speaker 0

gm forecaster today is friday october 11th and you are here with me adrienne and now nishprof is back i missed you

0:25Speaker 1

i missed you so much it but it's been really fun to watch you and your cohost because they've been doing great it was so fun great

0:34Speaker 0

erica and cameron and kristen were wonderful cohosts

0:38Speaker 1

they really were

0:39Speaker 0

we're if they're listening thank you thank the 3 of you very very

0:43Speaker 1

much because yeah

0:45Speaker 0

did you see me struggling

0:47Speaker 1

i did the first day you were struggling the second day i felt like you you got it like it was a

0:52Speaker 0

little easier the second day

0:53Speaker 1

it didn't look like you were struggling the second day it seemed much smoother and that's like you know that's life that's everything right you gotta do it a couple times have it make sense so yes

1:03Speaker 0

yeah well this is absolutely amazing i'm making her do it again

1:07Speaker 1

today because i've been i've been crazed so she's she's in charge

1:14Speaker 0

it's episode 167 which means a 165 you have driven and 2 i have or something like that

1:23Speaker 1

so it's understandable that maybe yeah it might've been a little harder and gm to everybody in the chat i'll be doing the chat today

1:34Speaker 0

oh good because clearly i can't do 3 things at once

1:38Speaker 1

it's very hard and how

1:40Speaker 0

long have you been how has los angeles been for you

1:43Speaker 1

it's been amazing but it's been like constant so many things and i have the hardest time when i'm at conferences or things like this where it's just back to back events keeping up online so i've been i've been terminally offline so i have no idea what's going on like i've seen very little and also i must apologize if you are dc ing me or dm ing me anywhere or emailing me like i probably haven't seen it yet and i'm sorry and i will get to you shortly apologies

2:15Speaker 0

and by shortly like give it a few weeks

2:18Speaker 1

yeah that'd be great give it a few weeks give me a couple of weeks please that would

2:22Speaker 0

be fantastic before we get into it kind of like high level for people who aren't completely noun obsessed or on par what is noun's town

2:31Speaker 1

who aren't me okay so let me start with noun's fest so noun's fest is a film festival that we did last year very small and it's we funded animated shorts so short films gave funds to various creators and they had complete artistic freedom to do whatever just incorporate something noun ish so this year was expanded so we funded 50 different artists to do these shorts and this was the film festival showing them all and it also there were some prizes involved for some of the filmmakers and so it was like a film you know like a traditional film festival but it was amazing and i think some of the shorts are also being put in for other film festivals so some of them may not be available for a little bit but i cannot wait for you all to see some of these because they were the creativity was amazing and i always love because nouns is cc 0 which means there's no copyright you can take the art and mix it any way you want it really always surprises me how much people you know like their takes on the art and it was really fun and then nownestown was added on to that so that was that was an event before and after that had a bunch of different activations so wednesday was like tons of activations going on within this one space called secret walls so there was art there was gaming we had esports there doing smash bros tournament like some of the top players in the world like 10 or 12 of the top players in the whole world do doing this tournament and live streaming it on twitch and then we had the park did some music nouns breakers was doing some break dancing it was just like just fun oh tabletop i speak nerd was there playing the noun ish board game with people and teaching them how to play it

4:32Speaker 0

what's the noun is a board game

4:34Speaker 1

it's like the tan but it's it's got its own twist and it was created by brennan and it was funded by nouns so he was but this is the first time it's been played in person in a larger setting so that was really cool so nerd was doing that and then there was an art walk that barrow lucid and humpty did so they were doing that yesterday willy wonka did something at the park like at a at a park not the park the park today has an event and we're gonna be at menotti's so i am staying in venice beach again i'm staying in the same hotel we stayed in for farcon because i am a creature of habit and i find something i like i'm gonna go back so i've been a little bit of distance from where everybody else is but it's worked out great and there will be a meetup this morning so if you happen to be in la and you're watching this come swing by menotti's at 9:30 am and we're gonna have some bagels and bagels and builders we're gonna have some coffee and bagels so yeah so it's gonna be that's happening today and then some other activations are happening today and then this is the last day oh no i'm lying tomorrow tomorrow is i'm leaving in the morning so i'm gonna miss this other thing but rob bergquist who a lot of people may know as a very famous professional skateboarder is also a nouner and they're doing an event at dreamland which is his skatepark that has i guess the world's largest ramp and they're gonna have a bunch of professional skateboarders i think one of the one one of the olympians is gonna be there and they're gonna be filming all that and doing the whole activation there so it's been it's a lot when i say it's a lot it's a lot like it's just

6:17Speaker 0

i had no yeah i had no idea everything i kind of have been seeing a little bit of things on my feed and had like a little bit of fomo and my fomo just kind of 10 x ed hearing

6:28Speaker 1

it was the film festival was really really fun like i think that's been one of my favorite things my other favorite thing was this so at noun's town on wednesday there was a makerspace where there was screen printing and iron on transfers and he had collected images ahead of time so i had sent him our little coffee cup and a pudgy the pudgy that we used for denver and so people were putting them on shirts i was seeing them all over the place and it was so fun yeah it was so cool and you could just customize so i just customized my whole shirt it was amazing yeah and binny hager who's an incredible artist who i just adore was there doing custom one of ones and it was great to like finally get him sort of integrated with an adverse so it's been a blast

7:22Speaker 0

sounds like sounds like the vibes have been high

7:25Speaker 1

vibes have been immaculate absolutely immaculate so the first night we did do a sunset happy hour in our favorite spot on the rooftop of hotel erwin where we had our meetup and that's what you're seeing there and purple knobs i see i see the purple knobs by the way borrow lucid the the coasters that i had she like nobody would use them they kept taking them to take home

7:51Speaker 0

oh it's like keep them pristine is this picture of the sunset taken from the rooftop

7:59Speaker 1

yes it was incredible sunset

8:00Speaker 0

on the rooftop i don't remember even seeing the ocean because it was incredible yeah it was incredible

8:07Speaker 1

and it it was very misty and it's misty this morning and it cleared like right before so

8:13Speaker 0

yeah there actually i saw a lot of complaints from la people about the weather you get no sympathy from yeah from like florida from florida heading to kamal

8:25Speaker 1

yeah yeah no sympathy at all from my family but it's yeah so that was that was from nouns town day 2 so that's where you see like the nouns breakers and there was pinatas and we also went to saddle ranch and did some bull riding i did not do any bull riding

8:42Speaker 0

i'm sorry what i'm sorry

8:43Speaker 1

about that bull riding bull riding mechanical bull riding i did not

8:46Speaker 0

yes are there videos

8:48Speaker 1

there are videos i did not do it so don't even think about it yeah so it's been it was great

8:55Speaker 0

it was great that's cool and this is kind of your background right the film festival

8:59Speaker 1

that was last night marquee

9:01Speaker 0

all right

9:02Speaker 1

yep and donald bazin was the host for the film festival who you may know from clueless and scrubs so that was really cool seth green was there cause he was one of the producers of the shorts so yeah it was really it

9:16Speaker 0

was neat and we'll be able to watch the sort shorts soon

9:19Speaker 1

yes yes hopefully very soon but they were some of them were hilarious there's one that's like the guy the little noun is getting therapy and it's so like nft crypto coded it's hilarious and he's just like you know it's just it's we're gonna moon and when moon we're gonna you know when lambo and it was just it's so funny it's really funny so that was my favorite one but yeah it was last

9:48Speaker 0

right you wanna see what you missed

9:49Speaker 1

tell me what i missed

9:51Speaker 0

yeah

9:51Speaker 1

tell me what i missed

9:53Speaker 0

the the feed went on in your absence

9:55Speaker 1

i can't believe it you guys just continued on without me i can't believe it

9:58Speaker 0

yeah merkel doesn't stop so

10:02Speaker 1

this well as cassie told us many many moons ago the shipping will continue until qdao is reached

10:08Speaker 0

that's right we do not have qdao you do not have qdao no there's not enough quality content sorry

10:17Speaker 1

oh we can verify our x account

10:19Speaker 0

yeah are you seeing this for the first time for real

10:22Speaker 1

yes i no for real like i did not see this at all

10:25Speaker 0

i have no idea what it is yeah so an update from varun you can now verify your x account so you can now connect a x oh cool formerly known as twitter account on webcast and it will show up on your profile we're going to experiment with using this as a signal to give users more reach on the app should be rolling out to all users now so yeah you just kinda connect the account and i think it's helpful for new people maybe who already have an established profile on farcast or come here they don't wanna be seen as a bot or low quality so it kind of it's i think

11:02Speaker 1

that's actually super useful it also is a great way in the other direction to be able to verify somebody on twitter because we get a lot of scammers and stuff who you know that way you can if they have their wallet connected over here you know that's the real person so that's pretty cool

11:17Speaker 0

yeah i like it and that's one of the challenges for new users is that before they write their first casts we don't know whether they're spammy or not connecting other socials gives us more signals to determine whether you're a real person which lets us give you a better first cast experiment

11:33Speaker 1

cool and this is optional i assume yeah

11:36Speaker 0

yeah yeah

11:38Speaker 1

not required but cool i totally missed that completely see i'm telling you gm broadcaster is great for catching up you've been away

11:47Speaker 0

we got you i got you

11:52Speaker 1

and update we do have a question hold on one second can you import your social network from twitter i was asked today and i don't know you mean your followers i

12:01Speaker 0

don't think that's exactly there is yeah no and someone was just asking about this and i don't see why someone couldn't build a tool do this you know like kind of someone manually i think we just talked about this with either with one of like on monday or wednesday profit without you i think this came up but no there's no automated way to kind of import your following oh that was it i was showing i think the icebreaker update and i don't know if you saw this but icebreaker has an update where you can import your linkedin graph okay like well

12:31Speaker 1

i would never in a 1000000 years do that but okay but the yeah

12:35Speaker 0

i don't even know are you on linkedin

12:38Speaker 1

i am but it's like i have not used it in years okay

12:42Speaker 0

you might not know this but jam forcaster has a has a linkedin account

12:46Speaker 1

and i know i gotta get them connected so you

12:48Speaker 0

can add your experience now that's so funny an update this is an update on on channels and new channels so from dwr a channel update invite from a reply it's now one click to invite someone to be a member of your channel from a reply useful if you cast who wants to join my channel in your channel and then invite the most interesting replies pairs nicely with the new changes to what nonmember replies appear above the fold live on web and mobile this is great

13:20Speaker 1

i i did see this one and i was like this is fantastic i love that that's gonna make it much easier

13:28Speaker 0

when you're and related to channel updates more replies now above the fold so the fold the fold being which which replies you see by default which ones are kind of hidden under the show more replies it was pretty and

13:43Speaker 1

reminder that comes from newspapers

13:45Speaker 0

and reminder newspaper was a print was a piece of paper it was actually they're called newspaper because they were printed on paper paper actual paper

13:58Speaker 1

for those who don't know

13:59Speaker 0

we're so old

14:01Speaker 1

i'm so old

14:02Speaker 0

anyway so previously you had to be a member in a channel so if you weren't a member in a channel you get stuck in the in the hidden replies

14:10Speaker 1

naomi your self worth comes from being above the fold so you might need to remind people

14:16Speaker 0

that's not true your self worth is not determined about where you show up in someone else's feed naomi you're a good person you're smart enough we are good enough people like you

14:29Speaker 1

just a reminder

14:30Speaker 0

warp cast does not determine anybody's self worth go just

14:37Speaker 1

and and the answer is miriam now now pep when pep talk now pep talk

14:43Speaker 0

by the way i had i think i said this but i had dan reply to me in a cast earlier this week in a channel he wasn't in and he showed up in the show more replies love this so now if you re yeah if you reply to a cast and channel it will likely appear above the fold even if you're not a member particularly useful for replying to your friends if you're a channel owner or mod you can always invite someone to become a member and they will always appear above the fold still working on member badges and channel block i love that

15:11Speaker 1

i mean like love that being able

15:12Speaker 0

to just visually see kind of the badge more details in the doc below which i'm sure all of you have taken the time to read

15:22Speaker 1

just just kidding homework go do it

15:26Speaker 1

i love it

15:27Speaker 0

alright last thing from dan on channels a lovely psa

15:32Speaker 1

so i think that i just wanna go back to their one second one second on that though i think do you think that dan increased the show above the fold because he ended up below the fold

15:45Speaker 1

that might be it no that might be it

15:48Speaker 0

i do not think so i think it's because dan has listened to feedback like a good founder he is yeah

15:56Speaker 1

like he does love it

16:00Speaker 0

oh you wanna talk

16:01Speaker 1

to somebody about on i got around for a while

16:03Speaker 0

point of view on channels

16:04Speaker 1

i'd love to

16:05Speaker 0

okay they are no longer single topics they are not hashtags if you're not watching video professor's face is all scrunched up because i think she doesn't agree we tried hashtags for a year and they didn't work there's no canonical food channel anymore there is a food channel still there's there is

16:29Speaker 1

click the link

16:31Speaker 0

i could click this it'll come up okay but instead there will be many smaller groups about a topic the best way to think about the new version of channels is a text based twitter space there's a group of people these are the members on stage who can post new stuff in a channel and a larger group in the audience however anyone in the audience can reply and get discovered or invited to the channel we've improved how replies work making it easier to invite from the replies in the last 24 hours casting in your or number 3 casting in your home feed i e not into a channel will give you just as much distribution in the algo we have not been boosting casts from channels you follow but people you don't follow for a while the results were too inconsistent and 4 our next big focus will be onboarding new users directly to channels when joining

17:18Speaker 0

farcaster so you're not liking the the new direction or you just don't agree

17:22Speaker 1

no i like the new direction i just just and it was more not even the it's no longer hashtags i'm fine i i get that what i meant was there was a discussion that i went back and forth with dan about large channels still being useful and particularly we were talking about the food channel and i you know i think it's a better place to put those kinds of like if you're casting your food or you're looking for a recommendation it's way easier to go to the channel than to because there was a oh just cast it to your home feed i'm like why would i do that like why wouldn't i cast it into the channel because then it's gonna make a lot more sense and i can just scroll that channel and see oh this is cool oh i like that whatever that relates to that topic so i think there's a combo there is what i'm taking it as like it doesn't have to be all cozy corners they can be larger corners

18:20Speaker 0

well i must see it as a funnel

18:21Speaker 1

there's literally a food channel on cable like it's called the food channel

18:27Speaker 0

okay but literally not everyone but not everyone can post shows to the food channel you still that is still highly curated you know it's right and so i think i see it almost as like a funnel

18:37Speaker 1

but everyone can watch it but everyone can watch the food you know

18:40Speaker 0

but but the only reason people are watching it is because it's curated

18:45Speaker 1

exactly so i agree with that part i agree with that part

18:48Speaker 0

yeah

18:48Speaker 1

yeah

18:49Speaker 0

i mean i think the answer is if you had

18:51Speaker 1

to and yeah so and i look at it i look at it like reddit i think that's more like reddit so i agree with naomi here also on reddit there is a food subreddit yeah exactly

19:03Speaker 0

there we go yeah everyone's happy yeah it's all good

19:09Speaker 1

this was interesting are you finding this too so this is the one concern i have is for new people so ray just said in the chat it's so confusing for newcomers i had a hour an hour call to onboard a friend today and channels were something he still struggled with so i think that's still going to be it's going to be a little bit of a adjustment especially for newbies

19:32Speaker 0

i think so too alright

19:36Speaker 0

many such cases

19:38Speaker 1

okay many such cases

19:42Speaker 0

yes meta david i is pointing out the number of tabs i have on my browser what you don't know is there were so many freaking tabs for this episode that i had to split it in 2 windows so this is about half i'm gonna have a heart attack on like live on air i'm not happy about it

20:00Speaker 1

and this is why she's like trying to move things along and i keep stopping her to talk you're such a continue on i'm gonna be quiet for a minute

20:10Speaker 0

we haven't even gotten to the news like which we're just barely touching the the news of the day i pulled this i love this from kenny who said i can be critical of warpcast so here's a thing they do great i think the automated spam stuff is fantastic it's very rare that i get notifications these days from accounts interacting with my stuff that are obvious bots hidden replies tend to be 95% accurate and only populated by ai spam too so agree that's nice

20:44Speaker 1

i agree

20:45Speaker 0

this from undefined just kind of new tooling keeps popping up introducing fargate stopmint.club a channel moderation tool to set up an invitation gate for your channels deploy a membership collection that users can mint to receive an invitation set up different quests that users can complete to earn an invitation for example different types of quests you can set follower count following a user or channel real user metrics like farscore on chain transaction count warp cast related metrics like liked or recasted to cast various token ownership checks and whatnot so i think that is super cool to see yep this from seneca grow your channel by letting members invite their friends if you're running around the inviter earns referral rewards to use add roundspot as a mod use the invite link with your channel name to get the inviter frame pin it in your channel so i think that's really cool too

21:39Speaker 1

yeah

21:39Speaker 0

cool someone asked if there's a single page that like lists all the different channel tooling the answer is no

21:50Speaker 1

no not yet oh no the answer is not yet

21:53Speaker 0

yeah so the answer is when you live in decentralized world there's never a single centralized place to get the source of truth for anything ever we will never have that don't ask

22:05Speaker 1

that's why we can't have nice things yeah you have you have to choose 2

22:12Speaker 0

that's right but but single source of truth will never happen because it's permissionless like someone out there who you've never heard of is you know writing a bot right now and they're not updating that centralized page

22:26Speaker 1

yeah

22:26Speaker 0

this from ted uh-oh the chat gbt reply guys are infiltrating tiktok and every other social platform that exists so what's their incentive to do this tiktok and it's a screenshot of exactly what we see in warpcast and the show more replies which is like bots just like summarizing what you wrote

22:46Speaker 1

yeah the the the thing that we're so used to yeah

22:52Speaker 1

the bot is the bot is writing a bot right now

22:54Speaker 0

yeah from d f i don't know if you saw this a bot is writing a bot right now

22:58Speaker 1

you've got it right now probably

23:02Speaker 0

did you see this from d f put a new dune dashboard that just is showing the different domains that are shared on farcaster

23:09Speaker 1

yes i thought that was cool

23:11Speaker 0

yeah

23:12Speaker 1

that was important yeah very interesting

23:15Speaker 0

the top ones are about kind of image sharing so probably that makes sense because their kind of images are hosted on third party sites and and then they end up getting shared but kind of you go down a little bit and we're seeing zora there paragraph there this is a cast from colin and yep got one from jacob as well so you know file that under not surprising but still cool to see

23:41Speaker 1

yeah good to have the confirmation of the of the data

23:47Speaker 0

this from jesse pollock did you see this on your feed

23:51Speaker 1

i did and i also saw jesse in person

23:54Speaker 0

oh how lovely

23:56Speaker 1

on wednesday so jesse came he was scheduled to come to nownestown and i thought that he would cancel because you know things changed and he flew in for a couple hours to to keep his commitment and then flew back after he had done this the this was the day after the off-site that he talks about here so i'll let you i'll let you read that

24:22Speaker 0

that's that's great yeah incredible this is jesse pylek did my first all day off-site yesterday with the coinbase executive team a few quick observations this is a real team brian emily alessia max and greg have now been working together for 5 plus years and it shows the level of rigor and strategic thinking plus execution is incredibly high thinking on the scale of years decades while consistently driving short term execution 3 they get on chain they are leading the way in shaping what it means to bring a massive public company on chain i mostly listened and learned i'm excited to be part of this team and to bring the perspective i have from being in the on chain trenches every day with all of you onwards

25:03Speaker 0

yeah i

25:03Speaker 1

think we all feel really happy he came and he came and talked about his dao journey and then talked a little bit about base and sort of what's next and and his new the new coinbase wallet stuff that he's working on so it was very cool it was great to see him

25:21Speaker 0

alright moving on did you catch the the unit chain news

25:28Speaker 1

i did although i didn't fully digest what the hell it is but i caught it a little bit and mostly i caught it from horseback's cast air so i guess i from this one

25:39Speaker 0

a little bit more than i thought yeah and he casted in the bript bript

25:44Speaker 1

bripto channel i assume that's bro

25:45Speaker 0

crypto i think it's cryptobros so i don't hang out there because guess

25:49Speaker 1

what guess what not a bro

25:51Speaker 0

not a bro

25:56Speaker 0

horse facts so what's a unichain well you know ethereum right sure there are a bunch of other chains built on top of it that work together in a unified way oh so that's the unichain no that's the superchain unichain is multi chain because it's on the superchain but unichain is its own superchain chain so uniswap is on unichain well uniswap is already multi chain so uniswap is on every superchain chain but uniswap is also on unichain and you can swap from any superchain chain to unichain on uniswap

26:30Speaker 0

anyway anyway anyway uniswap launched a lender out exactly what it means what it means is uniswap launched their own layer too

26:41Speaker 1

yeah i think naomi's it's an l two with nerd improvements is a good explanation

26:46Speaker 0

well i think it's kind of like it's opinionated for for defi

26:50Speaker 1

yeah absolutely yeah

26:52Speaker 0

yeah so this from dynamic every app is moving towards having its own chain unichain is accelerating this movement congrats to the uniswap team for launching their l2 on testnet dynamics supports unichain from day 1 through our custom evm networks learn how to spin up custom evm networks on dynamic in less than 5 minutes so if you're a developer and wanting to get on the unichain check out dynamic i like this poll from tayab will uniswap eventually launch a centralized exchange spicy question

27:30Speaker 1

very spicy question i'd say no i don't think they will i don't think so

27:36Speaker 0

okay well the the crowd is not with you as of now

27:40Speaker 1

yeah very much so that's wild what did you think do you think they will

27:48Speaker 0

no opinion

27:49Speaker 1

okay

27:50Speaker 0

no no opinion

27:53Speaker 0

this from samuel huber if you're a dev on farcaster or startup building here my dms are always open to help i debug code build features or full products and would love to help you succeed no strings attached to see case studies who i worked with go to dtech.vision that webpage also has a blog with farcaster docs so samuel huber is a dev i think based in germany maybe now i'm forgetting but just i thought it's

28:21Speaker 1

sweet but i'm honestly not sure

28:23Speaker 0

okay we don't know samuel i'm sorry but he and i like to chat about dev ops

28:26Speaker 1

i don't know why we're yeah we shouldn't even guess we shouldn't even guess

28:31Speaker 0

yeah very good but he is one of the most generous like people i think with his time and effort so i wanna shout him out because he's also under followed and doing great work

28:43Speaker 1

like what are you doing

28:44Speaker 0

like go yeah i'm great

28:47Speaker 1

i'm great

28:49Speaker 0

did you know chicago did a little webinar yesterday no and yeah it's part of the octant accelerator

29:00Speaker 1

oh great

29:01Speaker 0

yeah chicago gave a session on growing an audience on farcaster i love it and you're not seeing this picture if you're only listening in but there's an incredible screenshot from the zoom with our friend chicago pointing at the camera i don't know what she's saying but something very insightful you can yeah i think she's talking about the culture of farcaster and saying farcaster is not about attacking other people it's about having conversations and building connections

29:30Speaker 1

naomi confirms that samuel huber is in germany just so you know

29:34Speaker 0

okay there i was right for once in my life

29:39Speaker 0

so i think linx is in the acton accelerator for a b card so maybe was in the in the audience and said a quote from chicago if you organize events and not a ton of people show up don't be discouraged it can still be meaningful and bring a lot of value to the people who attend yourself included

29:59Speaker 1

yeah agree

30:02Speaker 0

yeah irl stuff is hard

30:05Speaker 1

definitely

30:09Speaker 0

so you probably maybe didn't see this because i barely saw this do you know turkey bands discord

30:15Speaker 1

i did not see this i saw i did see this cast only in our discord but i missed it on the feed yeah and this is like yeah okay so what was dan's response

30:29Speaker 0

to this well it's just another case of like government's cracking down on centralized we had this with brazil and twitter recently and it always brings up forecaster is censorship resistant decentralized you know this should be where people move to but you know dan and his lack of marketing refuses to tell people about it so people get on dan for that so dc bosch where is farcaster in pitching these users and i thought dan's reply was do you think this should be a priority relative to everything else we are working on which

31:01Speaker 1

and that's the way to think about it yeah yeah so i get it although i think sometimes there's easy lifts this one i don't know is that easy i think the twitter to brazil was a little easier and then i didn't realize that brazil has unbanned twitter so that's interesting

31:21Speaker 0

i didn't know that either like which is also like you only ever hear like the the bad news absolutely the drama right like anytime something restored like you hear anything going towards more entropy and more chaos that's what people wanna talk about like but when things are kind of going you just don't hear it

31:39Speaker 1

yep absolutely

31:41Speaker 0

but i always point out we don't need dan to do marketing

31:46Speaker 1

this is true

31:47Speaker 0

so it's like if if you think if if you think farcaster is a good place you can go market it and related that was the essence of the writing hackathon we organized which was permissionlessly organized having nothing to do with merkel we said we wanna get people together to write about farcaster to kind of tell the world about farcaster that was in june several months later we published a a little booklet with select like a compilation of various essays and excerpts and that is on zuora and you should go download the booklet it's super cool and we put that out so links links in there

32:27Speaker 1

and it's fantastic please go take a look at it it's amazing admit it if you'd like but you can just take a look right on zorro's phone

32:34Speaker 0

you can just right click and save it right click save it without

32:39Speaker 1

but you should mint it it's cool it's really cool

32:42Speaker 0

it's pretty

32:43Speaker 1

yeah it came out great

32:46Speaker 0

what else is going on mini milestone for linda at biontycaster this past month was the 1st month where we had more money going into the company than out including paying salaries excluding airdrops and grants

33:01Speaker 0

still fully bootstrapped with 2 people aiming for many more months like this i really loved watching her calls yeah

33:09Speaker 1

yeah this is great it's great to see yeah i love what i love that she shares so much about how she's building and does it so publicly it's really helpful to everybody else as well so thank you linda we love watching you thank you congrats congrats good progress

33:24Speaker 0

k and speaking of farcaster native companies resh from nayanar we are hiring 2 staff engineers we work on interesting infrastructure problems make money and have a strong balance sheet team is all engineering remote within the us silicon valley cash and equity compensation so check that out i just like really love to see farcaster companies growing makes sense

33:47Speaker 1

i do too

33:51Speaker 0

completely new topic related i don't know if you saw cheese on the timeline

33:56Speaker 1

surprisingly i did see this

34:00Speaker 0

so no it's so

34:01Speaker 1

weird the things that i did catch it's very random

34:05Speaker 0

i don't know i'm put i'm pulling this up i don't know if this is like a really a farcaster news story so much as it is an adrian news story like it was a my personal farcaster news story but july casted about cheese because 7 months ago he wants he decided he wanted to create a youtube channel where he and a guest go around the world like go to different countriesides to to see cheese makers

34:34Speaker 1

i think that'd be amazing yeah

34:35Speaker 0

i don't know why he brought this up but yesterday he he he re brought this up and i just there was a lot of cheese on my timeline

34:42Speaker 1

it's a lot of cheese feta

34:44Speaker 0

it's it's it's just cheese the

34:46Speaker 1

feta meme is hilarious

34:48Speaker 0

what's the feta meme

34:50Speaker 1

go straight it's meta and it says feta instead oh

34:54Speaker 0

it's not okay that's fair that's that's actually funny

34:57Speaker 1

yeah that's funny

35:00Speaker 0

and then when i saw that i immediately dropped everything i was doing and wrote a blog post about the time i watched mongolian nomad herders make cheese and i don't know if you saw this i literally i definitely missed that one and this is why i'm mad at july because and it's not really his fault it's my own fault for not being disciplined but i see something on my feed and i was like oh i saw cheese people i saw people make cheese once and then i like went and made i blogged about it by the way paragraph has a new flow for publishing and it's much simpler than it has been in the past so shout out colin and and reid and paragraph they're doing a great job amazing alrighty that's really cool

35:42Speaker 1

i did not know i did not know you were into cheese making in mongolia i had no idea

35:48Speaker 0

yes

35:48Speaker 1

i had no idea this was a thing and i had no idea that you would have experienced said thing so that's pretty incredible have to go give this a read definitely have to give this a read

35:57Speaker 0

it's not a read it's a picture story it's a story in pictures

36:01Speaker 1

okay great that works that works

36:03Speaker 0

alright how are we doing in 29 minutes of 29 minutes of news

36:07Speaker 1

oh we're doing just fantastic i i am gonna have to like go soon because i have an event at 9:30 but that's okay we've got a few more minutes

36:17Speaker 0

alright well i'll move on i just i i just wanna shout out because as i

36:20Speaker 1

get my last question for you yeah who did who did the writing hackathon design

36:28Speaker 0

do you remember who designed it i can't remember torey which story torey torey stories

36:34Speaker 1

it is torey stories okay yeah so she's in our chat and that's what i thought and i just wanted to give her a shout out and we should also we should have air dropped you one and i forgot i forgot who had designed it so you didn't mean to mention we should have airdropped you one sorry tory i thought it was her but i didn't want to i i didn't i didn't wanna say it if i was wrong so

36:57Speaker 0

yeah and and this is how great forecasting is

36:59Speaker 1

the design is incredible the design's great so great job tory i loved it go ahead what were you saying

37:09Speaker 0

well this is how great forecaster is because i just asked i said like i needed someone who knew how to do like book layout and turns this into a pretty pdf i think i cast it i got like i think tori pinged me back within 30 seconds she was the first but i had like 5 other people who could also do it and then we made a book together and it was great collaborating with you tori you did a fantastic job

37:32Speaker 0

so should we do like a few more news stories and then let you

37:37Speaker 1

go to i got i got like 5 minutes go for it alright you like to

37:42Speaker 0

this is me this is me stalling because i have to share my second screen with 30 tabs on it

37:49Speaker 0

and we did it

37:54Speaker 0

this came up oh this is from w will and in response to kekers posting a meme of kind

38:04Speaker 1

of like

38:05Speaker 0

sad guy doing the the 9 to 5 once i make it then my real life can begin and and w said my friends and i have a long running joke with the punch line and then i'll be happy and it is frankly incredibly effective at getting people to take agency over their present state and i've had a lot of conversations with people on carcaster like with this sentiment and i think that is cool oh do you know what last night was

38:34Speaker 1

the aurora yes we're talking about

38:37Speaker 0

did you even know that was a date yeah yeah yeah okay

38:42Speaker 1

i heard about it but i knew i wasn't gonna be anywhere where i could see it so the aurora borealis

38:48Speaker 0

was gonna be the fall and i had no idea until i started seeing it pop up on my feed so people taking photos and i don't really remember it ever being so visible in north america

39:01Speaker 1

this summer there was a moment too where i did see it because i was in north carolina but it wasn't as you know it wasn't as plentiful as this but i don't know if you remember that it was back in may yeah

39:14Speaker 0

and

39:14Speaker 1

there was a moment where it was unusual to be able to see it that far south and it was amazing it was really cool to see

39:23Speaker 0

i was getting text messages from my aunt so i yeah and the tip they said you can see it better through your phone because your phone like through the camera in your phone than with the naked eye which is interesting

39:37Speaker 1

yeah i figured that out i i realized that too when i was looking at it back in may because because i was going i don't really see anything and they're like put your phone up and i did and they went oh wow and it was like a whole different whole different thing very cool

39:49Speaker 0

yeah yes kekkers i agree kekkers with the with the meme because she's sad and i think kekkers just moved from a northern state to a southern one and in not enough time missed out

40:03Speaker 1

having having some fomo yeah and

40:10Speaker 1

this is adrienne trying to figure out what she can ship and what she what she wants to pull up in the next 2 minutes

40:16Speaker 0

yeah what

40:18Speaker 0

what what is new for me

40:20Speaker 1

i've done this so many times yeah it's hard for me

40:24Speaker 0

while i figure out what's even worth what do people wanna see do you know there's crappy patty at wendy's and sdv steve i heard that yeah is upset with farcaster because he thought farcaster users should be on the bleeding edge of innovation but nobody is talking about the krabby patty at wendy's

40:44Speaker 1

i mean really he's right

40:46Speaker 0

that's what yeah

40:46Speaker 1

he's absolutely right

40:49Speaker 0

i did see shoney later i did see shoney later say he tried it and i wonder if he saw this cast then went out in which case you know farcaster is a big influencer you know you know it's people can force

41:01Speaker 1

it's a big influencer there's a lot of kols

41:06Speaker 0

alrighty so i think i will end end it with a good story

41:17Speaker 1

i can't even begin to tell you how funny it is to be on the other side

41:21Speaker 0

i don't know how

41:22Speaker 1

to end

41:22Speaker 0

the show okay keep in mind guys i've done this 2 time 3 times before in my life prophet's done it a 165 if this effing sucks

41:33Speaker 1

then then you're doing great

41:34Speaker 0

i'm okay then it should it's good because i just need about 10,000 more hours alright i'm adding it on a naeries like

41:40Speaker 1

up this is actually perfect this is perfect

41:44Speaker 0

online connects us on chain empowers us and yes i love that yes it does anari

41:51Speaker 1

i think i may see i may see anari in 15 minutes hopefully so there you go

42:01Speaker 0
