This is also a scam email from “CoinBase”. Treat every single email about crypto as an instant scam. 99% of them are. But they use the same tactics below. The number one tactic is pressure. Something is wrong with your account. There’s an airdrop to claim NOW. You will be locked out of your funds unless you take action. They are hoping you are tired, scared, and will click. Don’t be a victim. Triple check everything. Ask here. Ask in group chats. Don’t click anything.

In the 1960s, Japan switched to Western-style seated toilets, but people had no clue how to use them—so they put instruction labels on the toilets (PS these signs still exist today in most public toilets). Farcaster is the same way. It might look like other social media, but it works differently. You wouldn’t assume you know how to operate a high-tech bidet without instructions—so don’t assume you know how to “win” on Farcaster without observing and learning first. Luckily, you don’t have to figure it out alone. There are resources like @gmfarcaster , @warpee.eth , /farcasterunion , and /welcome . Use them. Ask for help. Leverage the kind people here. 🙂 All right. Let’s go a few rounds. Our mutual friend @mazmhussain can adjudicate. (1) First: startup societies are based on 100% consent. No one is there who hasn’t chosen to be there. No one is in a hierarchy if they haven’t opted into that hierarchy. Signing the social contract to join a community is much like signing a contract to join a company: you view the docs, make an informed decision, and opt out if it doesn’t work. That right to exit is the fundamental right. (2) Second: not all existing laws are good laws, like the PATRIOT Act. Sunsetting *some* laws doesn’t mean you don’t believe in laws in the abstract. (3) Third: you likely have views on what your ideal community would be. Maybe it’s a vegan village. Maybe it’s modern Amish, where tech is paused at the level of flip phones and people enjoy each other’s company. If you ever decided to build such a peaceful, opt-in community, then we would support you. And that’s what startup societies are about.

Where we are and where we're going 1. Recently, we've seen a decent increase in daily active users (DAU). Between 200K and 300K users open Warpcast every month. This needs to be 10-100x greater for Farcaster to be sustainable. 2. We've also seen a lot of previously "churned" users reactivate on Farcaster. 3. We've significantly upgraded our developer UX with mini apps (formerly frames) and wallet. 70K+ funded wallets. 4. We've scaled our USDC rewards programs for content, mini apps and invites. $250K+ in USDC rewards and growing. 5. We've introduced a new series of verifications to help developers better understand users on the protocol. Over 150K+ users have at least one verification. 6. We've launched airdrop offers, allowing developers to target Farcaster users who use their apps via mini apps. 7. Snapchain is launching soon. It's a novel, blockchain-like distributed system that will allow us to scale the protocol for the next 10x. 8. We've grown the team by 50% since the start of the year. 1/3

We've revamped the Mini App Developer Tools on web along with the new Mini Apps Docs site (https://miniapps.farcaster.xyz/). If you've registered Mini Apps with Warpcast, they will show up on the landing page. Clicking on one will take you to a page with tools to manage your Mini App (preview, edit, validate and refresh farcaster.json and fc:frame meta tag). Create Mini App opens a tool that guides you through generating, previewing, validating and then registering your farcaster.json with Warpcast. There's also stand alone tools to preview your Mini App and Mini App Embed at the bottom. Hope you find them useful. Let us know what you think and how can we improve.

In the next few months, the Farcaster protocol will have the most meaningful increase in DAU decentralization since we started. Base will be adding a Farcaster-powered feed to Coinbase Wallet—an app that has millions of existing users and wallets with balances. They will have a paths for both existing users and new users to onboard to Farcaster, i.e. creating FIDs. That's a meaningful, tangible step toward increasing decentralization on the protocol. So if you're claiming that we're making changes to limit client competition, you are, in fact, factually incorrect (both in what we are working on at the protocol level as well the likely outcome after CB's launch).
