yeah yeah i know it's always kind of a a a yeah hit or miss here but yeah we're super excited to get v four out it introduces a couple of new features one of these is is dynamic fees which we've seen a couple that have done you know pretty well in terms of like maximizing that liquidity there i guess like in terms i guess there's the first part is dynamic fees where based on how many traders are swapping the token the the fees can fluctuate in in in percentages it can go it it flats out at 1% but during high times of trading it can go up to 5% and this is kind of just like maximizing kind of like those creator rewards during those just during those busy times the second one that i was kinda
is it also helping with with the bots a little bit like is it anything with
that as well
we have lily put out a sniper report i think it was on friday or saturday about just kind of our prelim preliminary insights yes yes yes so what we found was basically with v four we started kind of training these snipers or moon what are we calling them now it's a it's a new acronym
well no no no snipers snipers are there but we're calling regular traders non automated buyers
okay non a b non automated buyers okay
yeah so the the automated buyers they're they're placing orders at you know a few blocks after launch and we've seen that you know this can partially help with it but with v 4.1 which is actually deployed on base main net already we're just going through the implementation process there just like lily says here it'll be a decaying fee mechanism at start so those those automated bot buys the the apps will be paying a a higher price for those first thirty seconds this is also configurable so this is kinda one of those things that we're just gonna play around with see what works but yeah basically like kind of it's what deepore did introduce was these block auctions for priority bids in terms of like whoever wants to get the first purchase has to pay a higher fee which goes directly to the creator there uh-oh i think i paused again

so there we go so when you're talking about the configurable thingies here we've got a lot of different you have a lot more options now when you're launching a crank clanker from clanker.world does everything translate over when you just tag clanker or no only certain things like in terms of what you can configure
yep so the all of the the fees now will be deployed with our kind of our recommended configuration which is those dynamic fees but again like if you want to kind of go deeper we've seen some projects wanna do like the static fees whether it's 1% 3% things like that those are yeah that would be like the legacy version there where you can customize it and another big thing is that we also introduced the options to take the fees in the pair token or the quote token which is generally like wrapped ethereum or if you wanna just take it in the new clinker token these are in addition to kind of what was default before which was just taking fees on both sides of the swap but yeah that that was that was kind of a new one there and yeah that it like basically the idea here is just introducing clinker extensions these are like these will all live under the same factory contract what v four point one also introduces is kind of these this idea of these clinker pool extensions which we're really excited about these will be things that you can add to the post swap hook there's a one one that we're building right now is a it's a buyback and burn hook so what this will do is you could you can deploy a new token that will automatically buy back you know a a designated token during the swaps there so this is kinda like the the flywheel that we built that we're working towards here we saw this kind of like with these like maybe it's like project coins i think retake has been super popular recently maybe it's like a retake right if they wanna buy back some of that retake token with those fees there that's that's how it would be
so you would be able to configure it with you're doing a buyback and burn of any other token like it doesn't necessarily have to be your own
yeah it's use your own really so like this is like so one question that we kinda got at the at the at the on chain summit that actually kinda stumped me because again like we met like other token teams on base and they're like hey like how could i potentially like work with you guys right and like the natural first thing is like migration and like history has told us that that's not the best right so that kinda stumped me and so this this this is definitely something that you could do you could launch some extra clanker for a feature and then have it buy back your like your canonical token
your reg your regular whatever your protocol project token something
like that and it's just
or even like i'm thinking like somebody like toadie hawk for example if he has his own flanker or his own thing but he wants to buy back better and burn it or something like that or he launches some like random token like you could set it up that way where it might be something that's a little more ephemeral but he wants it to benefit the more long term project or something a lot of interesting things there yeah well you just got my brain clicking too because i've been thinking about this with the cast out token so we're gonna launch cast out again we're we're doing it you know a couple times a year and we have this original v one clank from october of whenever whenever that was or november whenever that was forever ago and it doesn't have all the features it doesn't have all the things i can't do as much with it so this would be a really interesting option because i was trying to figure out i wanna be able to benefit the original holders i was gonna do some airdrops and things like that but i'm like what else could i do and this might be a way to i could figure some configurations around that where it doesn't hurt the people who hold the original it may even actually help them more

could you could slice it both ways too right there's nothing that says you can't air drop on the front end to the right support it said on the back you know take care of them twice
and that's the other thing you launched with this v four too is this built in airdrop too like option that you can use which is very cool as well so i like that also that you have this built in the extension airdrop and then you've also got the preclang okay explain preclang

so pre click is kind of a way where you can auto fill or pre fill all of the token configuration without actually deploying it yet so basically you would you would pre populate all of those just the deployment configuration and then during a preclank or when when you're setting up a preclank you define a keyword which will actually trigger the deployment in a cast so this would be like you know if you wanted you you would include the clinker tag as well as this like a a a secret keyword that would actually trigger the deployment and then clinker just responds with that like preconfigured token at time of the task
very cool can you does it allow you i know there were some limitations on that as to what you could add to those configurations for that has that changed can you do everything now or is it still like a little smaller
we are still working yeah we are still working through like one thing is like a like a dev buy right since we are deploying the tokens on behalf of the users you know basically just with a independent eoa that just triggers the transaction the dev buys are still something that we're working through we don't have like a scalable solution quite yet mhmm but yeah everything else should work just right off the bat but yeah that's that's something that like we could potentially do with like yeah in terms of just like you know payment i guess like yeah things like that but yeah still working through that
that would be cool because i think yeah that's like one thing that i thought also when you added the buys and the create or i think it's also noted as creator buy such a useful thing because early on when i again like the early clankers i did like like cast out i had to then go in and buy it and when you when you put it out there and especially if you have a little bit of a higher follower count there are people like watching for you to launch stuff and they go and they they jump right on it not even like the bots but like actual people and then all of a sudden you go to buy your own token and it's like this is too expensive why is my own freaking token

totally kind of yeah i think i think tokens are really nice at you know attention gathering and and and also like kind of gathering a community around it you know spreading the word about it especially like during these these feature launches
or product launches i think it also can kind of like you know outside of like you know the the fees generated it could be nice to kind of like help offset you know whether it's you know vercel costs or these kinda technical costs yeah

so like kind of like that you know those are kinda like you know positives i think like the negatives can be like you know if you know just talking about like token safety right like making sure that like you know the best practices when deploying you know giving out tokens maybe like not not allocating too much for the team or for airdrops because that can run into like liquidity issues you know i like to stress kind of like the vesting option too if you are going to kind of like launch invest or airdrop a large supply and also kinda like just the expectations to set with like buyers right i i'm a big believer of like not overpromising and you know basically like just being like transparent with with you know people in terms of like what you wanna do with the token and you know on like yeah so just like kinda making sure that like there's kinda both sides to it and yeah i i think it's like it's it's a really fun experience it can be stressful and what we what we like to do is just like help guide through the process you know i i never like to you know pressure people into like deploying tokens i think it's just like there are benefits you know i think there are some some drawbacks too in terms of like what you can do with it and also like you know keeping flexibility for also like hiring new people or you know bringing on team members and kind of like those sharing incentives there but yeah i think tokens like are like i like to say this a lot it's like a it's like a blank canvas and the creators are just the artists that are painting the picture that they wanna tell or they wanna show to the world and we're here to kind of like provide you know the the easel the paintbrushes to kind of make whatever they wanna build with it
and i love how so on the site you have the champagne clankers which are really fun and those are sort of the ones that have solid projects you're familiar with them like you know the teams so these are ones that like you're curating i'm gathering yeah is that how they're being determined or is it more like they're just popping off they have some good metrics

so and i i think that is true and i do i do see it coming and i think there's a a few different ways to get there but i i've been you know a big fan of of of clanker in particular because i just like the way you guys approach things and it feels very like it doesn't feel like i'm being pressured to do anything it doesn't feel like you know there's there's i feel i trust the site i feel like you guys are just building some really cool stuff and then seeing all the different iterations and the new things you got in there is just awesome like there's so many cool things you can play around with so i don't know if you remember this but last semester so i do a tokenomics assignment in my class every semester last semester i had them look at clankr and like integrate that like if you're gonna launch one what how what would you use for configurations and it didn't have half of the configurations it has now so i'm really interested this semester haven't had them launch one yet because i've always been a little leery the lawyer in me has been leery of this this might be different this semester we'll see but we'll definitely dive in more thoroughly into those configurations because then it gets them thinking about okay what does it mean to vest or you know like do this sort of set aside where it doesn't unlock until a certain date and what does that do for you and how does that help and what do you do when you airdrop what does that you know what are the reasons for doing that and how that can be helpful or how can it hurt you and and kinda helping to think through tokenomics through that lens is just a more hands on way for them to understand so and just i don't know if you're aware like i teach a class on blockchain to entrepreneurship students so it's really about building and this is gonna be really helpful this semester to be able to show them other projects something like minted merch or qr where they're doing mhmm something you could do in web two but with a different kind of twist on it that connects with tokens and like i think that's gonna be really it's gonna be like i feel like we're finally getting to the point where it makes this class makes more sense now for entrepreneurship students where it felt like i spent a lot of time talking about things that were coming in the future and now they're kind of you know a lot of them are here and it's exciting so it's gonna be fun

scared okay so your forecaster wallet is a self custody wallet so right if you're if if you've been in crypto and you have a rainbow wallet or a metamask or a ledger like where you have a wallet that you originally spun up and you got your seed phrase when far when you create your farcaster account by the way your farcaster identity is also on an ethereum wallet on optimism
right on optimism
but when you use the farcaster app you have the option to spin up a warplet i will call it warplet for the rest of my life that is a embedded wallet that embedded wallet is also a ethereum wallet also solana i mean there's like another chains as well but

you don't they don't ask you to they don't have to you you don't have to take your seed phrase and write it down somewhere because they're using i think through privy but the whole password the seed or the private key sharding where it's like three different parties are holding a piece of it
right that's what it is
ask you to secure it by default using a passkey in your apple so it's like you can use your apple if you're using apple i don't know what it is actually on android but it's using your third of the key that you're responsible for you can secure it using like the in in in app kind of like passkey again it's secured with a passkey so it's like the biometrics
the reason they do that the reason they split it up into three is because they can help you recover your your your wallet if you okay i guess this is like your account if you lose it

so that's the difference like you could export it to a to an external wallet and you'll have that as a backup but you might lose access or you will i think i don't know there was something you would you would not be able to necessarily recover through them anymore if you do that or something like that right you still can't okay
