crazy that today we had the biggest crash ever in crypto money dollar wise crazy that today's liquidations are bigger than luna bigger than covid bigger than ftx
so yeah it it was it was a bad day friday like not long after we got off the stream everything went to hell lots of good takes on what happened which i'll talk about in just a second but this was interesting from unusual whales look at this a new crypto account was opened yesterday morning thirty minutes before trump's announcement of 100% tariffs on china it added a huge multi million dollar leverage bitcoin short position per y f that's i'm assuming yahoo finance the market dumped the trader made a profit of 192,000,000 in two yeah two hours unusual yes it was this from alex lutzky if you survived and per persevere preserved your money you're already doing great if you made money from this flash crash congratulations you're better than 90% of the market interestingly just a few hours before this drop the trump team's token world liberty fi was sold off by 30% to have funds to buy it back from panicking people interesting also if you were following the news you had time to accept the current losses and close all long positions before the global drop it didn't happen all at once watch the market for a few more days don't jump in do defomo and rush to trade it's better to miss out on some profits than to incur losses and then there were some interesting things about this chart what i found to be really helpful was these couple of write ups so this is from zeneca that really went into how exactly everything went down the and then also yes to crypto had posted this from ivan on tech i listened to this this morning super helpful it gets into sort of what was sort of brewing beforehand and there were a couple things brewing one was a lot of leverage that was happening in a lot of different places binance having some things set up in the way in which they were using their own oracle versus using the one that matched the rest of the world and they got depegged and that caused a whole cascade of liquidations and that part i believe that binance is now making people whole who got caught in that where they shouldn't have like for example it was like giving people like 60% versus 100% and weird things like that because it was like everything was depegging and just wrong and apparently they were getting ready to shift this to on the fourteenth to a whole different way it was going to work and it would have this wouldn't have happened so from what i've read and from what i understand the the reason like a lot of what was happening there was these other market things that were already set up to cause an issue in terms of like you know some things that were on finance a lot of people using leverage and then there was the information up from china was already coming out a little bit before the trump announcement so there were people making some moves already and then trump makes this announcement that there's gonna be a 100% tariffs on china and then the market goes crazy and this all happens of course after the stock market is closed so if the stock market is closed where you where you gonna go try and save yourself but you're gonna sell all your crypto and cause this cause this issue so if you weren't using leverage you were probably fine but if you were trying to sell at that time even if you weren't losing leverage but if you were trying to do anything on chain gas went insane you were getting incredible slippage so you really couldn't do anything until that all settled down it was just insanity so in terms of what we saw on i'm looking for the notes from v hold on we saw some things happening on farcaster which really didn't weren't you know wasn't directly impacted but it was because everything in the market went insane and this has happened like happened with luna happened with ftx same kind of things when you have a lot of people trying to sell at the same time you get these it's increased demand it's just basic supply and demand mechanics so this is from b there's a lot of market volatility right now and many wallets were failing to complete on chain swaps and sends due to fast moving gas prices and asset prices we're making some quick improvements to farcaster wallet to mitigate some of this but expect to see expensive swaps and a higher rate of errors while the volatility lasts and it's also because everything was happening very quickly as well and then another note they made a lot of improvements it should be fine now this was a couple hours later if you've been experiencing issues this is from gt during swaps please make sure to restart your app a couple of times to get the latest update and check the app store play store and make sure you have the latest one as well so that's what happened on farcaster also this from aviation doctor hopefully the past twenty four hours in crypto will motivate a flight to quality this industry doesn't need the long tail of grift coins just a handful of blue chips with utility it doesn't need shady c cxs and dexs that fold under stress only credible players that have shown lendiness that and it certainly doesn't need zero sum pvp games but instead positive sum attitudes toward building responsibility i see a silver lining to this flash crash in the form of garbage collection interesting low key wish the altcoin market doesn't recover and that we can move on without it i don't maybe come out of this with more computer and let's casino i do like that last part

ham emojis and so scum token was actually first a ham chain creator token which i also bought the ham emoji tipping thing i was the the water squirt sign of course and so i was just having fun getting my toes wet in the on chain waters i've always been more into social finance i came i was always you know against all social media for my entire crypto career here i heard about crypto and explored it and got very ideologically interested in it when i was in high school during the silk road days so it stuck around
way back for a long
time way way back but i was just a poor little homeschool high school then college student i was not and i just lost wallets left and right i didn't keep any keys i didn't care about that dust i'm trying not to think about it too hard but 2020 was kind of when i decided to go into crypto full time and that was the twitter days that was crypto twitter and then elon musk decided to swoop in and i started looking for my exit plan and that's when i joined farcaster lens and blue sky all at the same time

lens kind of lost my attention blue sky i was kind of more active in the beginning farcaster i saw it was degen vibes i'm a crypto leftist so if you guys are familiar at all with the blockchain socialist and his content he kind of was the inspiration for in 2020 me going all right there there ain't a lot of us in this space there's kind of only him that you could point to and that's when i was trying to build up a little bit of my content capabilities and releasing stuff but nothing had really taken off and now after a lot of practice out of out of a lot of trial by fire being on fc as everyone knows and being very active i just kind of figured out and now the timing was just perfect for everything i needed and wanted to make a more socialized finance token something that i don't think the crypto world is really all that
familiar or populated for so it's a
really big vacuum in the markets
sustainable long term value we kind of would love to diversify away from all the gambling aspects so how i approach tokenomics is more from a web to creator patronage kind of perspective where i'm thinking about how do you generate attention how do you generate consistent quality content and we know the economics of how that works on web two i just don't think it's been that translated well into web three they there's a lot of people out there who think they know how to how to support creators and how to incentivize and motivate and build the perfect structures but i'm sorry are you yourself a successful creator have you ever tried to make it big on youtube or instagram or tiktok whatever do you are you even an active community member in those kind of spaces so that's where i come from someone from both of the trenches of crypto world and kind of that twitch streamer patreon that world knowing what works and what i like going and investigating what talent what quality do we have here already on forecaster collectivizing with them showing them other things other mini apps that they might be missing in the way they're doing things and that's a little bit and so scum is a demonstration and we also help educate with the education part on helping people replicate what we do and then we also just launch people so our big community that we're collectivizing together we want to use our power our attention and our wealth of resources and knowledge to help those new creators get a really nice introduction into forecasters so there's a couple creators on you can see all of our members they're all boosters on our empire so that kind of helps create that solidarity network where it's not just about me and degen communist token or scum token we are all about complementing other creators and how do we loop in all of those different tools at our disposal to help complement them another thing we're going to be doing but

got the pitch nailed down now for why do you wanna vibe with our market so opensea and manifold and everyone else has kind of just been replicating what already occurs with web two and christie's you know auctions and secondary markets we put them on crypto rails but it wasn't necessary or novel or unique to interact with digital art pieces how we were intel vibe market so vibe market novelizes art making and nfts by pairing them with their own pool of erc twenties so the artist is not making let's say the pack is $1 the artist is not making 80 dollars 0.8 and the platform 20 instead they're making more trading fees so every nft is equal to 100,000 of the erc 20 now with augmented bonding curves you can imagine more people buy the nfts price goes up where the really unique mechanism comes into place is there is no necessary secondary market so you have a constant and absolute floor players that you can immediately sell your cards for this is what the erc 20 pool is for and why the artist is making trading fees and not splitting so as the whole pack rises in prices and the other cool gamification element is the randomization the just like pokemon packs or yu gi oh or lebooboo except how do you verify any of those odds if i'm opening a pokemon card pack from walmart how do i know they didn't just order all the bad cards or someone already came in and cleared out all the new packs and i'm actually ignorant i'm going to the old ones that are worth nothing vibe market puts all that on chain they use the pif network for their randomization of odds and so i can pay $1 and if i pull a rare card well now that rare card is immediately worth a dollar 50 or maybe it's an epic and it's worth 8 or $9 or maybe it's a legendary and it's worth 80 to $90
they also did some big bounties too right they they had they were doing some promotions with some bounties where it was like significant that was on the line for if you pulled an epic or whatever
if you pulled up mythic mythic which was a new one

yep yep this is all very gamer speak very cs go skins that kind of stuff yeah but it's the now any artist can game ify their collection release and they're all making very decent fees and getting a whole lot of volume because crypto dig ins love to speculate i have been here long enough to know the de jenius apicus they're gonna ape no matter what the ai slop is no matter if it was drawn by a three year old if that chart looks juicy to them they're going to tape it so i knew that element of it but i also knew there would be creators among the chaff that really put in good effort they're not trying to release new packs to get new pumps every week i like the creators who are dedicated to their single pack and building value in one thing over time

you already knew what i was gonna say so if i replace a card if anyone's already ripped it from the pack they've got that one card and there ain't no way anyone else is getting it so i think that ollie stewart with glitch clinker bug cards he was the first one to put me on that idea where he's a very avid nft collector so obviously he would have that good idea where oh no one else had kind of thought that would make sense like oh you're taking cards out of circulation then you can't make money off that image or whatever it's like well that's a benefit to holders that got that card it might have been a common which means you lost money but maybe once he cycles the common out of circulation oh well there's a secondary market for it and they people really wanted that one so they're gonna be paying for it
and i think it depends on that like if it's also good art on top of it exactly that's gonna make a huge difference because there'll be people just willing to pay for the art mhmm and i know i've done that before many a times with nfts so very similar but very cool very cool and then you've been do you've so you've been ripping packs and talking about this and working with different creators on your streams and i just think that's yeah that's very cool
