2:56Speaker 0

it's it's not the rebrand

2:59Speaker 1

it's not okay so it's not the pants pants arch

3:03Speaker 0

it wasn't pants it wasn't even the acquisition of clanker it wasn't d gen it wasn't frames friday no what what brought people to forecaster

3:14Speaker 1

this guy this this stupid guy this stupid guy is the reason we have an all time high and it's utter insanity so i cannot believe i'm starting with this i'm starting with this today i'm starting with this cute little purple monster really quick on the lore on this because i think there's a lot of people who don't know who might be watching and going i do not get what is going on with these crazy little creatures okay we're gonna jump back warpcast was the client name broadcaster was the protocol name then they merged the two so now everything is farcaster by the way it was farcaster then it was warpcast then it was farcaster when they added the wallet to what was warpcast at the time we started calling the wallet warplet and then from that dan created this little creature and said this is tried to make it the mascot of the warplet and it didn't quite go mostly linda's fault didn't quite take we adopted it for our bot warpy so he's been using this for a while we've also seen him pop up on condo and a few other things and then this time things took off because say angel made a little mint and here we are so we're gonna dive into all of that but just in case you're wondering how this started this is how it started so we've had an all time high this week and we also have had more new farcaster pro sign ups in the last eighteen hours than in may for the limited edition launch nft nearly up to three thirty thousand farcaster pro subscribers entirely on chain so that's wild absolutely wild yeah something something come for the tool stay for the network or in this case come for the warplet stay for the wallets just kind of crazy so here's what happened i started pulling messages from say angel and then i just realized that i i couldn't there were too many so i just pulled his whole entire profile because there's a lot that happened but what came what happened was on sunday he said hey i have this cute little mint this little frame this little you know thing on harmonybot i'm gonna drop it you'll be able to take your pfp and turn it into one of these cute little warplet monsters and he crashed the network because so many people were trying to mint so then he started to narrow it down like okay now it's pro only and under a certain fid and it was because things kept breaking so that was the reason that that he had to make those adjustments and then he continuously opened it up a little bit more to get it on track but people kind of just went a little crazy over these and then i think at first the craziness from the ogs was just lore it was just lore it was like let me just we just liked the thing it was very cute yes i want one kind of thing and then it became speculation because this thing started taking off and somebody like at some point he made a joke about a 10 ks project pfp project not really wasn't for real but some people took it that way so started thinking oh i need to get in there and getting a little riled up about that it started trending as number one in opensea it's done an insane amount of volume it flipped punks for the day sorry phil just craziness absolute craziness and this was a little bit part of this too warplet lore on sunday night i was weighing more complex traits or just shipping it i had this queued up for the night use past cast to add an infinity to each warplet affinities would be farcaster icons like dgen hat brackey sports items etc i chose just to ship it but one cool bit each warplet does have unique traits that's how the images get created i saved the trait as json chose to put them on chain because they're all pretty much unique and not opensea friendly maybe i'll dump them somewhere so you'll you'll see those soon hopefully but this has been absolutely crazy sanjel did give a shout out to rish shaw makes magic our guest later and carter and other correct devs in the ecosystem for helping me through all my poorly thought out code that didn't scale so again he was making this cute little thing it was just like a very easy you know i'm just gonna make this cute little thing and throw it out there

8:20Speaker 0

you can never plan to go viral no you have no idea

8:24Speaker 1

right no idea and then he did he did do a little post mortem don't ship things on a sunday night or do if you want traction know your api limits always cash and who cares fucking ship it but also know that sometimes things break

8:43Speaker 0

don't you love though how like a lot of like independent and solo devs in farcaster i don't know say angel how solo he is but there's so many people in the ecosystem who are willing to help yes for you know and i something see that

9:00Speaker 1

something something something

9:01Speaker 0

something seniors

9:02Speaker 1

same thing something seniors it's all i kept thinking about actually as i was going through the links that i was putting together because we're gonna get more seen to see as we go go along here by the way this was really funny linda who's part of farcaster team who a lot of people know from streaming amazing was also a builder on farcaster very early farcaster has hated this little warblet monster from day one four months ago or however long ago

9:32Speaker 0

because she has impeccable taste

9:34Speaker 1

she really does that is why she's she's a bit of a serious person and sometimes the unserious can you know you know so this is really funny she said if some weird ugly creature helps farcaster grow then i'm still happy and the angel said what did linda just call me so yeah it was this was nuts so we had a lot of people getting cranky about there was this very off the cuff 10 ks like joke that he made and he but he said like very much right around that same time everybody is gonna end up with one of these we're just trying to get it to scale etcetera etcetera

10:20Speaker 0

and it's just 10 ks just being a callback to like previous nft mania

10:24Speaker 1

like yeah just punks yeah essentially so so he kept getting crazy messages and i was reading through the replies and honestly it was the best way to find people to block it was fantastic i've never blocked so many people in my life so so angel said cap at 10 k guy who already bought at the mint get my fid then cap guy who was side yeah that's pretty much the way that the comments were going shut the mint down because they wanted to capture on it because things did pop off where you know you were getting a 10 x or more on your on your return if you were selling the thing is most of us didn't care about selling at all if you think we care about selling for like minting for something for whatever it was 0.00037 whatever to get 0.03 there's a whole bunch of us with an og nft that got up to over 4 eth who are still holding the thing on zora chain like you don't know who you're dealing with here we don't care we do not care

11:38Speaker 0

it's an interesting mechanism though because forget the 10 k it's one per fid

11:43Speaker 1

it's one per fid

11:45Speaker 0

your forecaster id and you only get one so

11:48Speaker 1

you just you just totally you set that

11:51Speaker 0

up for down you can sell but yeah okay yeah sorry

11:54Speaker 1

you set that up perfectly they are they are they you can transfer it but the the number is not a one two three based on mint the numbers are your fid your farcaster id so warplet 1020 gone from the original owner but always traceable back to fid 1020 so this was from jake because he decided to raffle off his or no auction it off so that was what he auctioned it off and sold his warplet but it's still 1020 so you still know it's his because it still connects back to the fid which is really cool like it's a really cool mechanism i mean say angel's like crack dev like i know he was thanking other people but this dude he's been doing some cool things on farcaster for a long time he was the bot or not guy which was my favorite

12:50Speaker 0

which was my favorite rest in peace

12:52Speaker 1

i know i love bot or not it was fantastic this is from blockheim me watching you all mint your warplets because for a while like i couldn't mint for a while because he had to keep shutting it down because it kept breaking so a lot of us were waiting wallet has achieved pmf enabling crypto bros to imagine themselves as freaky little creatures this was quote casting frames have achieved pmf enabling crypto bros to imagine themselves as beautiful women when we had waifu

13:23Speaker 1

oh what was that what was that comment i missed it

13:28Speaker 0

oh from yes to crypto would warblets have been near as popular had there not been downtime to create fomo and there's something something something status something something status

13:39Speaker 1

as a service yeah status as a service

13:41Speaker 0

part of the limiting to fid to low fid creates a little bit of this mhmm kind of forced status and then the downtime you know it's feature and not a bug maybe it's like everyone wants in scarcity it's like i guess you're creating scarcity

13:56Speaker 1

yeah you're creating scarcity people getting excited yeah for sure so then the next thing that happens is people start building stuff for the warplet this is part of that seniors thing so this was a warplet find the ugliest one and this one is really fun

14:19Speaker 1

let me see if it'll come up it's basically a hot or not with the warplitz oh it's struggling so we're gonna move on so hot or not with the warplitz this was really this is funny from jake too it is remarkable to me that farcaster did a small rebrand and a large acquisition but the thing that catalyzed its first day of explosive growth in a while was yes these guys exactly oh we already got that one these are the nine this is brad q's list of nine top nine favorite warplets with who they are number one being jesse and i can't disagree with that more i mean agree with that more like it's hilarious it looks just like his pfb like it but in such a warplet form it's just hilarious then caro with this fabulous insanity i love it apex jamie j finn syed me and symbiotek so love it it's been really fun to see these and see them connected to people and see how it interprets your pfp has been really fun so you can see mine in my background along with yours which is giving adrianne face by the way your warblet is giving adrian face

15:39Speaker 0

i didn't got my warblet looks angry

15:42Speaker 1

well that's kinda your face

15:44Speaker 0

i'm not angry i'm skeptical it's skeptic face

15:48Speaker 1

okay

15:49Speaker 0

it's not amused it's not amused face

15:51Speaker 1

it's not amused i'm angry these ones were really cool too some really i love this one i don't know whose that one is but it's very cool it's fun when the one when they kinda match up with the what like the you can see the person's pfp in it like you can really tell whose it is dan's is funny dan's and v's are funny this is cody game the wait is over $500 a prize pool up for grabs cody and warplets is live warplet exclusive free to start keep playing with cody let warplets madness begin if you have not played cody game this is you're trying to unlock a code of emojis in this case it's a code of warplets and it's gonna be it's really fun i don't think anyone's unlocked it yet if it doesn't if it doesn't get unlocked then whoever has the best percentage gets closest will win and it's really funny because it's all the little warplets and you can see jesse's in there you can see jacobs you can see that's ted over there this is basil

16:57Speaker 0

i love that you recognize people's warplets

17:00Speaker 1

i know it's crazy well i've been staring at them for days it's insane this was from our friend greg you can animate your warblet it's pretty funny and it does make it you know it makes it do funny like different little movements mine like drops its pizza it's really funny also there's a warblets game you can clank your own warblet from here smash or dash similar hot or not kind of thing you can feed it cookies so all kinds of fun things this is dan and bea's warblets on the front there so really fun guess what you can also go to minted merch and take your favorite warplit out to lunch and everywhere else introducing the custom warp tee we are warplit on the front your farcaster username on the sleeve your warplit number on this on the other sleeve which is also your fid background can be included or not your choice 15% off your order when you add the mini app merch moguls get 15% off site wide so go check that out if you want your warplet on a t shirt they got you covered

18:14Speaker 1

just absolute insanity i also have to shout out brett draws stuff who did an original pixel version of warplet back months ago i think that one is i think that one's all minted out anyway but if there if you can go check that out as well and i loved his how his warplet came out too it's really funny so came out great and then we have phil for it's worth while we're talking about it i'm pretty sure matt lee invented the term warplet so there you go they already have a $10.99 looking forward to my warpolites like warp i guess that's like royalties what so that was a lot like just absolute craziness and then i'm gonna add just one more thing to this section because i had it sitting here the from ted no one literally no one me if pine tree and zora or pumpfun got me neo the home robot i would live stream it which is hilarious but what's funny is below andrew sixteen saying gee how's our q four budget looking and we can definitely include a robot so please make this happen please make this happen for the for the utter insanity of it all so that's the warp a little bit all and yet we still have a lot more going on but in case you've been wondering why you're seeing these creatures now you know and

19:50Speaker 0

the beauty of the the beauty of the warp like craze while you're while you're pulling up the yeah next news story

19:58Speaker 0

is the is the seniors so it wasn't anyone the person or team kind of forcing it it was a lot of different kind of people coming together building on top of legos that already existed but things explode out of scenes right so everything like okay say angel did the initial warplet minh that turned that kinda created the craze and then everyone else just launches their own kind of spin off of what a warplet is and i think those are the days and weeks where farcaster is most generative and exciting oh fun

20:35Speaker 1

so fun by the way our resident dog i think said it best and they know a thing about this farcaster has the zoomies quote casting phil insane energy on the network right now but i do think that was like perfect perfect description of what's happening it's just craziness and i love it it's a fun week it's a fun week we've had a fun week we had all time highs on farcaster we had all time highs on pro sign ups we had all time highs on gm farcaster on on monday

21:09Speaker 0

so we had dan and dish we had dan and dish come by

21:13Speaker 1

and it was crazy

21:14Speaker 0

clanker's part of farcaster we're not even talking about that

21:18Speaker 1

i know i know i know we're the biggest news of the week and we're talking about monsters so a few other things happening that speaking clank like speaking of clanker coinbase markets tweeted perpetual futures trading for token bot clanker will go live on twenty nine october today the opening of our clanker perp market will begin on or after ten a m utc if liquidity conditions are met in regions where trading is supported perpetual futures are available to retail traders so i think i if i understood this correctly it's only the us but double check to see if you can trade on that and of course be careful out there perps trading usually a lot of people are doing that on leverage and you have to be careful out there so please do this is hilarious by the way this is why i had to start with the warplet because all the other news was somehow related so there was like even the leaderboard results and if you're new here and you haven't been on farcaster before there's a weekly leaderboard and the payouts for number one through three are $600 and then it goes down from there but the top 3,000 people who cast on or accounts that cast on farcaster get rewarded every week so here's our rewards leaderboard results guess who is it number one sanjell and so we do the warplits edition except we have three of the top 10 with no warplet should money be withheld from july chase summer and dish actually dish and july both have them now so there you go so they do have them now so they're good moon poppy back clanking at two jeff goldberg writing dev day dinner vibes to number five burt wurst calls his warblet a traumatized gopher at number seven hugs and the potato tldr run out the top 10 with his template mean coveted 69 goes to jesse jean so you can see them all here the top 10 as in their warplet form which i just find absolutely hilarious i do see shaw makes magic back down there and we're gonna bring him up in just a couple minutes gonna whip through the rest of this news really fast psa for the 20,000 plus new pro subscribers you have close to 0% swap fees in the wallet cheaper than any other native mobile wallet out there so if you came for the warplit stay for the wallet and check it out if you have farcaster pro a thousand swap on base is about 68ยข 92% savings so amazing we did have we mentioned the little issues we were having with database instability and everything's back has been working well we just had a little bit of issues there but barcaster the app is down nayanar powered apps were up decentralized social something also we were casting things from base and other clients so other clients were up which was good

24:42Speaker 1

this from rish which was really funny responding to ted who was locked in her friend's house the privy team is locked in so that was just a funny moment on farcaster yesterday also many of us at least the parents in the room were ready to go you know talk to the landlord i'll just say that i was not happy this from super tight woody which by the way this is my new minted merch i've got the cryptodes shirt and the super tight hat also got a cryptodes hat but i just you know didn't want to get too matchy matchy so very cool but super tight woody farcaster wallet is now my preferred wallet i tried to use metamask and uniswap and completely scoffed at the fees awful user experience great job farcaster team we love to see it and miguel gerest is back on his back on his bullshit here i love it this is amazing turning the arch doing the arch thing

25:48Speaker 0

do you know who called this

25:50Speaker 1

i know

25:51Speaker 0

last week you were like where's miguel

25:53Speaker 1

yeah he was by

25:54Speaker 0

the way we did the rebrand he

25:55Speaker 1

he was taking a break he was

25:56Speaker 0

touching grass

25:57Speaker 1

he's touching grass i don't know why i don't know who let him do that all right we're gonna save the rest we've got a few more things we're gonna save it till the end we're gonna bring up our friend shaw makes magic and get chat with him and then we will circle back to a few more items but let's bring up shaw right now to the stage hello

26:22Speaker 2

how's it going

26:23Speaker 1

yeah it's going great you look fabulous

26:26Speaker 2

thank you much

26:27Speaker 1

love love the outfit love the outfit amazing i love the background actually the background's incredible so

26:34Speaker 2

this is

26:35Speaker 1

really fun

26:36Speaker 2

i think i made this background for our new project so i was i'm kinda vibing on it oh i'm

26:41Speaker 1

sure he'll look good what's the new project you wanna say a little bit about that while we get you started

26:47Speaker 2

agents yeah we're we're we're building old for agents it's kind of a a longer term thing we're we're building one thing at a time like let's first get the token migrated and then we're working on this prediction market for agents well humans can play it too and then kinda building a little world around that so you know on chain stuff on chain data agents can consume that but kinda framing it more like a world than like oh it's a blockchain with a bunch of apps on it you know but that's kinda the idea it's like

27:16Speaker 1

it's a bunch it's like a carnival for agents let's say that is it so this is related to building an ecosystem that is agent powered to take on all kinds of agent tasks that are web that web two isn't exploring let me just read this a little bit to get everybody kinda situated agents that negotiate agents that predict agents that play agents that bet agents that attacked and agents that protect this is powered by some new tech like four zero two wallet abstractent paymasters an identity registry and running on a layer three app chain that lets any token on base join up like a native gas token provided they bring some liquidity to the chain and pick it swap pools perps prediction markets and on chain games token and marketplace all with front ends for agents and humans to play together providing free indexing of all chain data free rpc endpoints and direct access to all on chain services through a web two api wrapper with a four zero two payment rails this is called jiju i hope i'm saying that right it's integrated with elizaos cloud which bridges our web two user base to all services run on chain we'll show more in december that's phenomenal

28:31Speaker 1

so and you were just recently featured in forbes as well so

28:36Speaker 2

i'm now a forbes contributor so i'm actually writing articles for forbes

28:42Speaker 1

regularly this is crazy this is crazy yeah

28:46Speaker 2

so our community hooked that up so

28:48Speaker 1

i love that i love that so see how it goes let's talk about like how did this all get started with eliza os and what you've been working on and then you know i think we kind of touched on where it's going but let's like take a quick jump back just to kind of like set the foundation of like how did you end up here and talk about what you've been what you've been working on so far in terms of like ai

29:16Speaker 1

a ai 16 z and all the other experiments here

29:21Speaker 2

yeah i mean i got my start in all this stuff i i lived in new york and i worked in like basically advertising and and doing a lot of experimental stuff like creating vr apps for companies and and various experiential things and and it was kinda like right in the early days of ar and vr and all that stuff and and i've been doing some stuff before that but it kinda led me there because it was just like a lot of hype and interest and i was like yeah i'm willing to build this this is great and and and obviously like from there i kind of became an entrepreneur and followed that into the things i think a lot of the trends that that a lot of crypto people also got into like metaverse was was big for me i was very just very into the idea of these like not just digital worlds but also thinking about like well who would inhabit those digital worlds and and getting really into wait

30:12Speaker 1

were you using any of the big digital worlds at the time like sandbox or decentraland or anything like that or

30:17Speaker 2

oh yeah i got i got into all that stuff and i actually made my own i i i joined up with another digital world company called bubiverse which was pretty hot for a minute but then the treasury got hacked and you know g g and you know how it is

30:32Speaker 1

yeah and i

30:33Speaker 2

i also

30:35Speaker 0

hey shaw when you say metaverse can you just kind of like is that lowercase m or capital m what do you how do you say like what what do you mean by metaverse

30:45Speaker 2

i mean i i love the idea of avatars you can see i'm obviously having a a vrm avatar i got really just just very into the idea of vr chat and all of that stuff and i i really like decentraland and and and around that time was like just very into a lot of the same ideas and yeah and and i mean you know tried all of them even some of the smaller stuff like voxels is is big on voxels

31:10Speaker 1

love voxels

31:12Speaker 2

yeah and and so i was part of this community called m three which is a metaverse maker's mastermind and it's just a bunch of us who are into this thing like even now to this day and we're into it long before it was ever a hype thing it was just like you know like that kind of just nerd group and i've been working on that and then and and long story short like i i was into the idea of ai and i was really like thinking like well obviously ai is gonna be the the linchpin here that this is not like a bunch of 30 year olds aren't gonna get on a on a you know three d social app necessarily and play all the time but they might if there were like if there were reasons to come to this if there was like some kind of ai thing if there were like characters walking around the world when i arrived and it wasn't just dead and empty that would be kinda something so that kinda led me to getting into ai and realizing that like with with you know with a lot of the like you can go and train a model at home but you're not gonna get very far like like you can do some cool stuff but then going and looking at like what opening i was doing with gpt and and gpt two would come out i remember this moment of like well like i you know i can't even train this on my computer and and this is like almost good enough to do something and then when g p three beta came out that was like a really big moment for a lot of people like a lot of the projects a lot of the like ai meme coin tokens like act one who else like the news research guys were there a lot a lot of the people were like already doing this long before and it's more like meme coins and and crypto discovered them you know like we were all like on this other part of twitter like ai twitter just yapping about stuff and then suddenly like meme coins were this thing right and and so a lot of the people that i saw like blow up with coins were like people i've known for years on discord and and yeah so i've been working on yeah right it's kinda weird how it all worked out and so i just been working on this agent stuff for a while i like for you know many years at this point and this guy scalley i i had followed daoist fun because i i really can't trade i like suck at trading and and i had asked a friend like hey you know would you trade for me and he's like no they're not gonna do that but he recommended that as fun and i thought it was like a really good concept like okay i can just put my money in and somebody else can trade for me and so i i put some money into the first one it was managed by this guy skelly and we started dming on x and he's like man i wish deejohn spartan were still here and you know he's like this this famous crypto twitter influencer who would quit basically left and i just had i just had this all ready in a box like i had just been working on this and i was like dude i have the tech we can just do this today and he's like no way that's bullshit like no man i got this like i have exactly the right place right time for this so we launched that and that went pretty well and then after that he introduced me to bauski at dowsbaum and i i who just like lived down the street from me and we started talking and i just told him yeah it was a very small world

34:04Speaker 1

so random

34:06Speaker 2

yeah yeah we like got lunch and and i just told him like like i really want to be in a world where like why do i like crypto i like crypto because it's i like the internet capital markets thing i like that you can just like put money together and build something and like you know there there's something so interesting about all of that to me and and like so much regulation in the world that gets in the way and it's crazy that like a 16 z can just go out and put money into the next openai but like you and i can't we kinda talk about this and i mean i really want like the ai a 16 z like i wanna i want i know it's not it's not like we can just do this tomorrow this is a pretty challenging thing obviously but can we build like autonomous investors that get the right information that that the right people and we started working on this and and he was the one who was like dude just call it ai 16 c it's cleaner you know it's not ai a 16 c but just squish it together and and at that moment i was like oh that's like the funniest shit i've ever heard we ran home generated the image for the dao we're like okay that's so offensive like that's the funniest thing i've ever seen this is so ridiculous big waifus and you know like i there's no way and and i remember asking like do you think like like we're trying to raise 420 soul like that's a lot man he had to change the ui on dows fund to make it so he could even raise that much which is like $75 right and he's like yeah yeah it'll be fine that'll be fine and and then we launched it and it was just like you know in twenty minutes the presale was gone and it just kept going and i was just like holy shit holy shit oh my god and and we didn't have like an organization and i didn't even have i had no money i was like working for a a nonprofit before this so very luckily this guy who had followed us from spartan from the from the first agent just gave us like 11% he he smashed 80 solon and got 16% of that thing just like holy shit holy shit everyone's like who is this guy who's got you know who's this whale so he donates 11% of it to us and that like capitalizes everything for us and that's we've just been like running off of that he you know he he sold the top so he's pretty happy i think but yeah that was kinda how we got here and then the last year

36:10Speaker 1

so fully like fully funded on chain i mean that's really cool yeah

36:14Speaker 2

yeah if you think about that like just just like here's a crazy idea and some technology and it's open source and let's go and yeah and and it's

36:22Speaker 1

kinda yeah

36:22Speaker 2

it's definitely the ideal i think we've set the template for and

36:26Speaker 1

we appreciate the the slight change in the character has been more large crop and less porn star and we appreciate us the the you know four women the four women in crypto we appreciate it thanks

36:43Speaker 2

i'm sort of shocked that no one's tried to cancel us yet just given like how offensive it is

36:48Speaker 1

oh sean and they you're not you're not in the girl group chats

36:52Speaker 2

oh yeah yeah i know i well i i apologize but i i hope everyone understands that you know we're sort of overloading culture

36:59Speaker 1

we get it was about the grabbing attention and it worked very well for who you were targeting we get it we get it yeah

37:07Speaker 2

we actually we have like we're we're doing a whole anime with eliza i have somebody who's working on that it's all ai but it's very cool and generally it's the brand i'm like i i really like her as a character and don't want like a big plastic like it was funny to be like hey like waifus you know like everyone's just gonna be addicted to talking to their internet girlfriends and i actually don't think that's really gonna happen so much like you know so i'm almost yeah

37:31Speaker 1

but i loved the i loved the last the latest version of her very lara croft i love that one that was a good that's a good way to go lean into that we like the badass rather than the tits and ass just you know

37:42Speaker 2

we're doing more of like a of an anime but like serial experiments lane i don't know if you've seen that it's she's much more just like weird like a weird girl who thinks we

37:51Speaker 1

love that we love that

37:52Speaker 2

yeah i think it'll be i think it'll go over well yeah you know did you

37:57Speaker 1

have that comment you were like look like you're

37:59Speaker 0

no i i was on yeah i was i was just saying so i'm i'm i'm so glad you were protected like it was like when and didn't and did not get canceled just

38:09Speaker 2

i got canceled for other reasons

38:11Speaker 0

but yeah

38:11Speaker 1

yeah we're gonna get we'll get to that

38:15Speaker 0

let's come or come around

38:16Speaker 1

we'll come right back

38:17Speaker 0

but i'll just say like yeah and you know not to hammer this home but the just to hear you say like oh we thought it was funny so we said f it we'll we'll go with it right and it's like i've heard you in long form podcasts i've now seen you on farcaster it's like i i am starting to understand who kind of the the full shaw is so it's hard to really get angry but it's just it's such a classic like there we have talked about you in our girl group chats i'll just say and not you necessarily but the the image and of the imagination of women so in some ways for sure i i don't know if you deserve to be canceled and i'm glad you were somehow protected from it but i also appreciate the evolution

38:57Speaker 2

i i honestly would not have minded the the discourse around it if if people were like hey i have a problem with this like a lot of the things that i do are like intentionally provocative i think people have got onto that

39:09Speaker 1

yeah

39:10Speaker 2

and that was definitely part of that but you know like i'm i'm like married like my wife is like what the fuck you know what

39:18Speaker 1

she was in the group chat no yeah you know she's like what do i do with this guy

39:24Speaker 2

yeah and and for me you know i i guess like i i definitely i think we all probably share a very similar view in a lot of this but but i definitely you know in in in working with ai agents the thing is always just like well when are you making sex bots and like you know it's like not my goal and i've actually spent a lot of time like staying away from the you know like actually in ai companions most of it is people doing like weird really weird stuff not not not normal stuff even so you know so you're overloading that kinda meme a bit but i but i definitely am like yeah like long term this is not really what we wanna do it was also pretty funny when we're like talking to stanford we're like doing some stuff with them and they're like yeah can you like prop the image yeah

40:08Speaker 1

i was making them so funny so you actually were going to stanford like to speak and they were like no no

40:15Speaker 2

well we we we're doing like a a small program with them and and some thought leadership papers and stuff with it

40:22Speaker 1

okay they were just like can we can we yeah yeah can we ditch this please

40:28Speaker 2

yeah for sure good

40:29Speaker 0

so i made my first ai bot around the same time i think it was like maybe a few months when did ai 16 z launch was it like a year ago

40:37Speaker 2

it's been yeah it's been a year now

40:39Speaker 0

like a little over a year so i was just learning how to make an ai bot and i'm asking friends like you know how do i do it and all i'd heard was oh ai 16 z is a framework was it or eliiza i don't know if it was called eliiza yet here's a framework you can use and i'm a i was like a i'll say a newbie developer my background's in software engineering but i hadn't done hands on stuff in a really long time and people are pointing me and i will say like i because i'm not in i wasn't already in the ecosystem i wasn't already aware of what it was and i saw the image and i was like no thanks so that is like the impact of like that's what branding does like if you don't like i had not done the long form podcast i had not done like i was just like no not for me so i ended up not but

41:22Speaker 1

alright let's move on yeah but honestly like yeah we get so let's talk about some stuff happened over on twitter you get you get your lose your account end up over on farcaster can you talk a little bit about what happened there on twitter and like what what went down and then you're sort of moved over to farcaster and like what your feelings have been since you did that and we're so glad

41:48Speaker 2

by the way oh yeah so all this went down you know there were like 50,000 people launched agents in january alone it was a lot it was like okay this is probably a problem x reached out to me and and i was very like very open with them and like i would i would love to address the problem because i don't think we're creating a problem i think this is a problem that's like a kind of an inevitability of the whole internet i would i would say a lot of like the things that i post and and like the edgy shit i say is more along those lines around like that internet and you know like the future of ai and all that stuff and they reached out and i went to their headquarters and i hung out with them a couple of times and i really was like it was very framed like hey like you should help you know like kinda like maybe this is like an adviser thing or something and you know i

42:42Speaker 1

like you're like thinking like hey i'm gonna go help with grok like

42:47Speaker 2

i i i was down for whatever like yeah that would be sick you know i was thinking like realistically like you know they're probably figuring trying to figure out how to get a handle around like this agent thing i'd love to have a a a say in that and also like be an advocate for a a version of that that isn't just like ban everybody but also isn't like you don't want a world of bots either you know so so you know that that conversation though kind of devolve to like it was clear that they were having conversations with like all of the web three teams and we're basically trying to figure out well like how do we extract money from crypto and they did a large sweep and sweep up a lot of teams that they perceived to be you know harming them like gmgn and pumpfun and yeah all these people and they just deleted all their accounts and then accused them of things and then basically like i'm not exactly sure how it's legal but you can threaten someone legally unless they pay you money so that's cool so they did that they said we're gonna delete all of your accounts for hosting a lot of agents and say do a lot of stuff that you're not actually doing but we're gonna say you're gonna do and not look into very much and then you should give us you know but if you wanna buy our enterprise license you can get out of it and so that's only you know half a million a year

44:09Speaker 1

yeah that's nothing no problem

44:11Speaker 2

so we said well we have literally no use for that we make open source code i don't host or sell anything i don't have a product that people can come to why the fuck would i buy a $500,000 a year enterprise license so then they just like deleted our accounts and then we went through the normal process of explaining to them that like everything they were trying they're saying you know we're your hosting agents you're violating apis and it's like this is a bunch of shit whatever got to this point where they're just like give us a million dollars or and we'll give you your accounts back i don't know how that's legal but we're gonna do it we're just gonna give them a million dollars i have no use for anything that that they service i have no use for their enterprise license but ultimately they are they own crypto the entirety of decentralized crypto is at the back and heel of elon musk and x we all know it everyone knows it we can't do anything about it so we're gonna give them a million dollars so yes i will post my forecast or referral code

45:08Speaker 1

yeah please

45:09Speaker 2

do i'm just kidding i'm just kidding

45:13Speaker 1

actually hit the qr with the f r we do have hit the qr handy go ahead adrian

45:19Speaker 2

yeah yeah

45:20Speaker 1

there you go nailed it nailed it

45:22Speaker 0

there you go is that top right or top left i never know if it's top left or background

45:26Speaker 1

it's good

45:26Speaker 2

it's good

45:28Speaker 1

that's so funny

45:28Speaker 0

there you go come join us in the free land

45:31Speaker 1

so yeah you then like that kinda drove you you already had a farcaster account but that drove you to actually start interacting and like building over there

45:41Speaker 2

and yeah i mean i mean the the reality

45:43Speaker 1

having you on there it really has it's been you're hilarious like i

45:47Speaker 2

i do where your things yeah you know i like yapin i i like firecaster i really like the culture i like everything about it but ultimately like i think the way that it's gonna win is when we have no place else to go because x does not see us as people they want on their platform like they straight up have they like i have internal emails you know because now i get to see a bunch of shit where they're like we're part of a web three sweep they think that we are extracting from their platform and not giving anything back even though like we were paying them a thousand dollars a month just for our yellow check and 200 for the developer account plus you know like what eight blue checks and all this stuff and we're like fully legal and compliant but because you know i linked to some open source code on github they're like oh yeah i can split your account now and that's the world we're in so yeah like you know i don't think crypto can be real or taken seriously until it's off of x frankly because it's like you can't call any of this decentralized this this is the opposite of decent this is the most centralized thing i've ever seen actually you know everyone's on like one app one wallet one website it's crazy

46:58Speaker 1

yeah and it's yeah sucky reason why but we're glad you're here shah from cal.com yeah it's it's it's something we've struggled with from the beginning because we started the show and started just on decentralized and on chain platforms so we started on on lonely and zuora and then realized not too long later that we had to be on the web two point zero stuff as well and it's been frustrating but we do get most of our viewers over on twitter and x so at least they're live viewers it's crazy so yeah

47:32Speaker 2

yeah i mean my my like ultimately why why do i need that account it's because distribution we're basically dead unless we have yeah it's distribution is everything there's just like saying that first time founders care yeah yep exactly founders care about you know product and second time founders care about distribution and and i think that that's very clear that that's that's the game we're in and especially around meme coins and all that i mean it's just been the most damaging thing so it's like well if we pay the even though it makes no sense and it should probably be illegal and i have no use for the apis i will just give them money because it makes our backs go up and that's just you know it's the best thing for everyone

48:12Speaker 1

it ends up being like a cost to do in business yeah

48:15Speaker 2

cost of doing business there's a lot of middleman extractors in crypto like let me tell you you know all the exchanges who are going on about whatever like yeah i've seen their bills i know what they charge yeah you know

48:27Speaker 1

yeah

48:28Speaker 2

i guess we'll pay that too because there's no other choice it is the most centralized industry in the world

48:34Speaker 1

yeah you know and we've i mean even if you're not even if you're not at the level of paying like for an enterprise type of you know account a lot of us are paying for pro for the same reasons mhmm because distribution because we need that you know visibility so it's funny to hear them say that they don't need us because i don't i don't have they have they added it all up

48:58Speaker 2

i don't think so

48:59Speaker 1

i don't think they've done the math

49:00Speaker 2

we we we minted a lot of developers we created a lot of business for them and they just don't get it or see it and they're not they're not you know they're they're they're not our friends let's just say

49:12Speaker 1

that for sure okay what have we not touched on that we should be asking you about

49:19Speaker 2

i'm like i'm excited to

49:21Speaker 1

see your agent world i mean i think that looks incredible but what else yeah what have we missed that

49:26Speaker 2

yeah so the agent okay so two things the agent world is like a a long term vision here the first part of that that we're building is well we're collaborating with ethereum foundation on they have a a spec called erc eight zero zero four and this is an identity registry and so the i they're they're kinda pushing this because you know agent hype is like trustless agent registry but the way that i see this is this is actually a way to take like services like mcp is very hot x four zero two is very hot so you have these ways to like now pay for oh generate me an image or get me some intel on this stock or whatever and then pay for it but we don't have is so you're like okay so i'm about to pay this person for this thing like is it good like are they just a bunch of scammers who are gonna take my money

50:10Speaker 1

right

50:10Speaker 2

and so the identity registry is kind of like a yelp system like okay i i used this service it was sick i'm gonna give them good stars or no that was definitely a scam so i'm gonna mark them as a scammer and and so we've been building on this like i i think it was actually a a key primitive because like one of the big problems we have in crypto is just like a total lack of the ability to moderate or or protect people at all because you know i can spin up in wallets instantly i can get around these kinds of things i can move liquidity instantly and and so in our world we wanna have some like moderation and protection for that and that kind of builds on this idea of of identity but that's a little bit later we're focused on right now is like just getting the identity and getting like that what's that first service or thing that agents if they connect to this registry could find so like it's one half of it is yelp like okay well now i can tell you how good this is the other half is kinda google like well what what can my agent do like i'm my you know i'm i'm an agent i'm like i i wanna do stuff and i and you're like hey can you go and like find me a decentralized service that lets me like do these swaps but it's just really simple case right i'm like oh great sure or or let's say perps right you want you're like go go trade some perps okay well i need like a an interface to do that i need a place to connect i need to know that i'm not gonna deposit my money and they're just gonna be like psych you know so so i half of the registry is like well i can go search like what what's that what's out there what's on this registry oh there's this cool purchasing oh there's this cool prediction market game oh sure i'll go like play that and and i can see like who else is playing it who else has left feedback and so it lets us kinda create like like apps in the network which have like kind of the properties you right now might go to the app store for like this is the number one ranked app or whatever that kind of thing right so we're we're taking those that erc eight zero four primitive which is really around discovery and identity and then that feedback system for reputation those are kind of the three pillars and we're building a game that that touches on all of those as kind of the the our starting point and then moving into this whole island of agents thing with that like leaning pretty hard on those pillars but the first thing we're building just the the like we're we're going to argentina and we're gonna show this in a couple of weeks we're working on

52:25Speaker 1

amazing

52:27Speaker 2

is yeah this is the prediction market game and so i got banned from x so what i did was i created an ai version of x with parody versions of all of the major characters like all the politicians and all the billionaires we got like scam altman and mark scum and

52:43Speaker 1

i saw that

52:44Speaker 2

we have aioc who's the ai version of aioc because you know or elon tusk who's since he left for mars he left his last skin body here on earth to oh my god that's funny or whatever you know like just insane lore and we're just like yeah let's just synthesize the like it's not even that much more insane than reality but it's a little bit more insane and you can kinda you can bet on those things and we have so we have we just added this so now we're tracking

53:10Speaker 1

so this is a prediction market within the like world the digital world

53:15Speaker 2

yeah yeah it is

53:15Speaker 1

of things

53:16Speaker 2

that could happen in the world prediction market

53:18Speaker 1

that's the like

53:18Speaker 2

it's like a synthetic it's fully synthetic i mean and there's there's a lot of i was kinda thinking about this like i think that games are prediction oracles like most on chain games could just be oracles for prediction markets and then you don't have to pay polymarket you don't i mean sorry not but in polymarket's fine you don't have to pay chainlink like like if you wanna do perps you have like you have to go get your data from somewhere so you have to pay chainlink or on the polymarket case you have to set up with umay you have to like do a whole like validate our humans yeah that's true that's not true like kinda like a wikipedia editor sort of deal right you have to have humans in the background which is great but it also prevents the markets from scaling to to to like infinite size basically so we're like thinking well you can basically bet on chain away from the game the game is just like a game it's just doing what it does producing outcomes but then the betting and all that can happen on chain but off game like kinda separate in you know out just happening in the world and the game is just like i'm just gonna post my results as a prediction oracle like you can do whatever you want with this it's composable lego block

54:25Speaker 1

yeah

54:25Speaker 2

so that's that's we're just focusing right now on that piece just like let's get the prediction market game to be fun but it's already kind of fun to like watch all these parody people like argue with each other and you know and yeah like if you if you're a good reply guy you get invited into group chats where you get like secret alpha and stuff i'm i really really like the game it's like it's like really mirroring the the current like meme coin alpha you know sort of loop i guess

54:51Speaker 1

it sounds fun so are you gonna be presenting this at at devconnect is that i think

54:58Speaker 2

the plan marco's gonna present it okay as something that we're cooking on marco's the one of the authors of erc eight zero four

55:06Speaker 1

oh cool

55:06Speaker 2

so but but we'll be there i don't know if you guys are going but we'll

55:09Speaker 1

be there will be there and also awesome we do have a ticket that we're giving away today to devconnect so we're not no airfare no hotel just the ticket guys okay so if you're on farcaster you're we're gonna we adrianne posted a little raffle cast you have to go in there to register and you're gonna need the passphrase world computer to work so we'll put it in our chat and yeah you can win a a ticket to dev connect and go see go see shaw yeah it'll be there

55:46Speaker 2

let's hang out

55:47Speaker 1

yeah i

55:49Speaker 2

think that

55:49Speaker 1

there's gonna be a large oh we both typed it at the same time that's funny there's gonna be a very large ethereum world's fair farcaster is gonna have a space there adrian will be there as well as you know linda horse facts i think a few people from the farcaster team and the farcaster community so definitely go check that out i think it's going to be an amazing event i mean everyone is is going i think there's some incredible presentations that i've heard been hearing about so it's gonna be pretty amazing so go check that out yeah

56:23Speaker 2

a lot of our dev team is going a lot of a lot of people that i i would wanna hang out with in the community are going and also i i i did a promise that i would work the farcaster booth we'll see if that pans out that would be fun

56:37Speaker 0

go i'm volunteering too shaw let's coordinate let's get there together yeah

56:41Speaker 2

that'd be awesome that'd be super awesome

56:42Speaker 1

you gotta time that you gotta time that adrian because it'll be way more fun

56:46Speaker 0

so we're trying to find

56:47Speaker 1

the same time i wanna see that please stream amazing so shaw what else if we missed anything else that you wanted to mention or do you have any questions

56:59Speaker 0

i believe and i think i know the answer but your world is coming in a mini app

57:04Speaker 2

yeah that's definitely the goal oh yeah we have a we have a couple of mini app the other thing we're doing is we have like an agent otc desk so okay so we're doing a migration this is the thing i got upon like you know this is the reason we're really all here i guess or the reason they're letting me go on podcast right now is we we we you know we have the 16 c token and we are turning it into the eliza os token you know a a 16 c was very gracious and they were like yeah you guys are cool you gotta change the name it's getting confusing you know so it's fine

57:36Speaker 1

they're they're cool about it

57:38Speaker 2

so we're we're changing it to eliza os and just unifying everything and and there's a few things that are coming with that one is we're bringing our token it'll be on solana but it'll also be on bsc base and mainnet yeah so you know we're base builders now

57:52Speaker 1

mainnet too amazing

57:53Speaker 2

yeah yeah yeah i mean you know people still trade there occasionally i know they hold you know

57:58Speaker 1

the metallic will be ecstatic about it so it's great

58:01Speaker 2

yeah yeah totally he i've got like a nice message from him like well welcome to ethereum it's like oh

58:06Speaker 1

good i love that

58:08Speaker 2

yeah i i i just like i like evm i i like ethereum i like the you know i don't know i like the the i like the vibe so with that we're doing an otc where we are like selling some of our tokens at a discount but you have to negotiate the discount and lock up terms with the agent so it's like an agent otc desk

58:31Speaker 1

i love that

58:32Speaker 2

wanna get like 20% discount but it's like a one month lock up like that's that's kinda doable you can totally negotiate that kinda thing so it's kinda like a fun way to like you know show off the agent tech and and i'm trying to find like defi use cases that aren't just trading agents i think that that's like not what people think it is it's like it's just a lot harder than people think it is like it's just like sci fi and supposed to defi but there's a lot of great defy use cases and i think one of them is that agents are pretty good at negotiation i thought that was kind of fun

59:03Speaker 1

that's very cool i didn't i wouldn't have thought about that that's a really good use case

59:07Speaker 2

yeah that's really fun and that's gonna be a broadcaster mini app on its own oh cool i i don't think i don't know if it'll be ready for like like the actual thing is ready and i've even now got where like you can list your own tokens which is kinda cool so anyone can otc to anyone else but that's still a work in progress so hopefully that'll make it to mini app this month but it it by december it should

59:27Speaker 1

definitely be back that up for a second so if we have like our own creator coin or whatever kind of coin project coin we could list like hey we've got a pool of let's just say a million we're willing to negotiate and let the agent run and just let yeah

59:44Speaker 2

you set your terms like what's your minimum and maximum lockup duration and timing and and you can kind of accept that like some people are gonna act the system they're gonna get the best possible deal so you have rails you have like a maximum best deal kind of thing but but still like i would be willing to give people the best deal if they're gonna sit there for two hours and engage with my experience like that sounds great like a great you know great exchange so and it keeps you know tokens off market and locked up and even in meme points like hey a one month lock up is like you know that's like years and yeah in old in old time the before time

60:18Speaker 1

in the before times yeah for sure

60:20Speaker 2

yeah so

60:21Speaker 1

so that's kinda that's very cool that's very cool

60:23Speaker 2

i i think that's cool

60:24Speaker 1

and then will the will there be other mini apps that you you mentioned that mini app is there yeah like the world itself gonna be mini app or is

60:33Speaker 2

that too common this world is like a like a make believe like all text based thing for the prediction mark game

60:38Speaker 1

okay but the

60:38Speaker 2

other game that we're working on is with with some farcaster notables is hyperscape and so chase is i i basically this kinda started because i was working on this with a friend who's his name is lucid he's on farcaster now too and we're just like hey can we make ai runescape and like just ai everything like ai items ai mobs npcs ai town like the whole thing is ai the quests are ai like let's just go so far with this and and if you've seen like how ai video is you know like it's pretty good now it's the same thing happened for three d it's like holy shit these are like photo real three d i i you know i used to hire artists and i would say that it's better than most of the artists i've hired right it's kinda nuts so so yeah so we're building basically ai runescape it's called hyperscape it's going surprisingly well and fast and we've got a a couple of devs like like dex who is also like streaming on retake and pump and like building this on stream and kind of engaging i told him you know engage the mini apps there and it's doing that and yeah and then chase is kind of the i don't know the the like posting about it doing a lot of design and concept art and stuff and we got a couple other devs and yeah so that's pop it it's like a full mmo game i mean

61:57Speaker 1

that's amazing

61:58Speaker 2

it's going shockingly fast only because we are we know like man five coding has really changed the game you know especially in this stuff where i'm just like yeah give me like a procedural world with grass on it

62:09Speaker 1

it's like yeah no problem

62:11Speaker 2

you know that that used to be like a month like i used to have to attach it

62:14Speaker 1

it would take me like a month

62:15Speaker 2

so yeah so that's that's the other thing and that's that's definitely like mini app focused you know we and and kind of like a we we will have like a mobile form factor generally i i like that like mini apps kind of fit the mobile form factor and you know like it it it's not like a lot of extra work to make something like that a mini app basically

62:34Speaker 1

and it's a really good way to get it into app form before you try to do a larger like ios app or something like that too it gives you a lot of opportunity to kinda hack at it and make sure things are working right and all that so

62:48Speaker 2

yeah but i would point okay

62:51Speaker 0

i would say you're already you're already building for mobile like if you're already constrained by size and you're building for mobile to then convert to a mini app and then you get all this other stuff with it like forecaster context social context build in notifications distribution it's like why not

63:07Speaker 2

yeah yeah and these days like i'm really a champion of there's different ways to build mobile apps you can build them with like native code like ios specific or you can do something like react native or whatever but i i'm really a champion of we use thing called capacitor and we also use tori and they're both basically what they do is they run your website on the app more or less and it works surprisingly well and it means that we can just build once so i can just build a mini app and i can ship the exact same thing to the ios app store

63:36Speaker 1

oh that's amazing

63:37Speaker 2

that's like yeah distribution is everything and i i like a lot of my team has been so

63:42Speaker 0

does that mean

63:44Speaker 1

hold hold on

63:44Speaker 0

does that mean it's like a container so it's like you ship to ios as like a container but then you've got your it holds the site so you can update it

63:51Speaker 2

as yeah yeah so what's actually happening in there is that it's running the like a web view and it's running the whole application inside webview but it looks just like a native app it looks i mean it is and a lot of the apps we use are doing this like a ton of them even with things like discord is is actually like chrome and you know most of them are are running chromium and stuff it's kind of a similar idea but but this it kinda ties back to this idea of distribution is everything and and to me like you know farcaster might not be the the biggest distribution market in town but i grew up with macos and watching like companies like bungie survive on like a very small market share but they were like the big fish you know they were like the game company for max and now they're one of the biggest game companies in the world and i think that that generally is like that holds true that for for developers like it might be really hard to hit a total like you know to make a shitload of money just on barcaster users but you can kinda like guarantee a more dedicated audience you know to some degree you know more people are gonna try your mini app basically yeah someone's saying mini apps come with working wallet and actually my favorite thing like the main feature is just that when you click on the app you're logged in like that is such a stupidly important feature of of a thing you know so it's a

65:05Speaker 1

good point yeah i haven't thought about that like that's a great point yeah it's one less one less opportunity to churn

65:12Speaker 2

most user drop off i think happens at the login page so yeah that's a great point

65:18Speaker 1

do that and the other thing is yeah if you're if you're building something you've got this group of you know very tech savvy early adopters who love to try new things and are willing to hack on your on your mini app and give you like constructive feedback so it's a whole different environment in that in that respect so

65:38Speaker 2

it gives me like late like late nineties apple vibes like there was like there were like magazines there were meetups people were like like really into macs you know like and now no one is because they're the evil empire but like but but that that only they only got there because they

65:53Speaker 1

have this like cult following

65:55Speaker 2

and i think you should not just you know there's idea of like 100 true fans or or you know just building a cult following i think it's very important

66:02Speaker 1

yeah we do have a question we do have a question from yes yes to crypto i wanna do this ai 16 z otc where do i go

66:11Speaker 2

we're gonna have the otc desk launching with the migration on november 6 so you can go migrate your token from ai 16 c to the new eliza os you just like put your tokens in you get your tokens out and then you can go and if you'd like you can buy otc as well

66:26Speaker 1

those are the

66:26Speaker 2

kind of the the actions yeah

66:28Speaker 1

and we'll definitely make sure we talk about it on here so you'll know you'll know yes to crypto when it's when it's available i promise yeah adrianne do you wanna hit them with some quick lightning questions before we before we wrap

66:43Speaker 0

yes shaw are you up for it

66:45Speaker 1

yeah you have time

66:46Speaker 0

okay okay we do all our a little over yeah a lot of our favorite guests we like to hit with lightning round questions

66:51Speaker 2

sorry guys i gotta run i gotta run

66:53Speaker 1

i'm just kidding

66:54Speaker 0

just kidding just kidding okay alright so on farcaster we talk a lot about the url to irl pipeline especially because like in the early days network was small people were meeting first on farcaster and becoming friends in real life so when and how did you make your first internet friend so it's someone you met first online and then later became friends with

67:16Speaker 1

wow irl

67:18Speaker 2

wow actually i think that the per first person i met online became my first girlfriend because we talked online like before that online had been about like middle school high school like i was talking to people i knew at school or you know and i was also like deep into a world that like i was a hardcore nerd when i was a kid so i was like hardcore into news groups i don't even know if people know what that is you know and then that led me to like aim chat rooms and stuff yeah so i was like into all that and and i definitely had that kind of exposure but i never met any of those people irl i almost had like a shyness about it but but the opposite was like i remember i i got introduced to a friend on aim through another friend who was like oh you should talk to my friend and then she lived down the street from me and we ended up like dating and stuff yeah so like six yeah i was 15 or 16 or whatever so

68:15Speaker 1

oh that's cute

68:15Speaker 2

yeah that's kinda how that happens yeah but generally another big one is like i i'm i know that you asked the first one but another interesting i mean this has been like a really important thing for me in my life is that the that the internet has been such a connector for me i mean even the hyperscape thing was just like you know i met this dude through my last project we started working together i met chase on farcaster you know it's just like we're just messing around you know i actually so i met my wife on craigslist

68:49Speaker 0

misconnections misconnections

68:51Speaker 2

i'll just leave

68:51Speaker 1

it for you

68:52Speaker 2

actually well i hired her as my assistant off of craigslist and then my company went under and eventually i ran out of money and and she quit and we were just like in the same friend circle after that i just just totally like i had moved to san francisco i hired her she's like kinda show like it was like hey go you should go to this internet archive thing i met some people through that but generally like just like we happen to be in the same social circle after that and then at some point just like went on a date and then you know got married and all that so yeah you know

69:26Speaker 1

i don't know that's that's what i've got for that's the best where where i met my wife story i can't i don't think i've ever heard that one before that's that's unique

69:38Speaker 2

yeah unfortunately they they got rid of personals so you can only date through the that's so funny the company's so funny

69:46Speaker 0

alright moving on morning person or night owl

69:50Speaker 2

oh i am such a night owl it hurts yeah

69:53Speaker 1

oh we're crushing it i feel

69:54Speaker 0

like i should've guessed it yeah thank you for waking up early for us beach or mountain beach or mountain

70:00Speaker 2

oh i like both but i really love i love the beach not the water so much just the beach part

70:07Speaker 0

what is the next country you wanna visit

70:10Speaker 2

argentina that's exciting

70:13Speaker 1

have you ever been there

70:13Speaker 2

i've been to buenos aires for a day because i went to uruguay which is like just across the the water so i took a boat there and went to i mean it was wait i was there as a sec but i didn't get to really see the country like that so i'm pretty excited for that yeah

70:28Speaker 0

if you were to write a book what would it be about

70:32Speaker 2

all of this started because i was writing a sci fi book about an ai agent that a bunch of kids create and get into trouble with but i i halfway through just was like am i really gonna be a fucking writer like that's such a grind i i was a musician in my teenage early twenties as well and i i got pretty far with it but it was like really like touring was a grind and i was like this is an even worse grind because you don't have friends to grind with you and i don't know anybody in literate literature or the literary world so i was just like kinda gave a command and got into to tech instead but i i love writing yeah i mean i was like writing a sci fi book oh yeah totally i i'm never gonna share that though but i mean it was like it was very much like you know kinda dreaming about like what the eliza thing was and blah blah blah i i you know it was it was kind of a little bit of of high precision you know like self creating i i had set this path a long time ago and you know like started moving forward with it and yeah so you know if i was gonna write a book today i think i probably wouldn't write sci fi because i think it's like we're almost over inundated with it now and it's kinda boring like why i wouldn't wanna read about agents it's like my fucking day job but i don't know i i think i'm very interested in i'm very interested in history i i think i'd love to i'd probably write something about history i you know i i'm not exactly sure but i i'm very interested in like like the whole other side of me which is interested in like religion and the history of religion and history and like why do people believe the things they believe and you know so i'd probably write something in that direction if that makes sense

72:11Speaker 1

yeah when you're ready to do your book though check out alexandria which is on chain on chain books so

72:19Speaker 2

on chain books

72:20Speaker 1

yeah alexandria like i'm not alexandria a lot writing yeah when you're ready you're gonna write cool you're

72:26Speaker 0

gonna publish that's it

72:27Speaker 1

yeah i was a little shocked

72:28Speaker 2

gpt kicked me out a book

72:29Speaker 1

or two suggestion give the draft to eliza os and have her complete

72:33Speaker 2

yeah you know for real actually i had this idea the other day i was talking with her forever like why don't we just finish all of the stories we never finish with ai yeah

72:40Speaker 1

there you go

72:41Speaker 2

yeah yeah one one day for sure i don't love gbt five's writing style maybe claude could do it but we'll we'll get back to it claude six

72:48Speaker 1

that's funny

72:49Speaker 2

finishing the video

72:50Speaker 1

few more questions

72:52Speaker 0

football or soccer

72:56Speaker 2

i really don't care about either i just like don't i i i know that people have like a lot of emotional feelings around like people running around kicking a ball i just think it's like the most boring game i just don't care it's fine it's okay i you are about to get you

73:15Speaker 0

are about to get canceled on yeah marcaster there are some

73:19Speaker 1

only on football

73:20Speaker 2

yes that's fine football channel cancel me i deserve it really

73:23Speaker 0

football and it's football as in world football football yeah it's soccer it's a that was a meta question it was a camping or hotel

73:35Speaker 2

oh probably hotel come with boujee bitch i don't know

73:40Speaker 0

alright i love that i'm sorry i'm bad about you kiwi kiwi skin on or off

73:47Speaker 2

off because it makes my tongue feel real weird

73:51Speaker 0

and last question what is the last thing you bought with crypto

73:55Speaker 2

oh what is the last i mean obviously somebody's fucking coin

74:01Speaker 2

but you know i mean i i thought like i the i would say the coolest thing i bought with crypto was was i i just like went to the galapagos i just bought plane tickets my friend was like i'm going to the galapagos i was like yeah let's go and i had bitcoin and i was like wait you can just buy a flight with bitcoin and i flew to the galapagos it was sick and it was great so it

74:20Speaker 0

was pretty how did you

74:21Speaker 2

buy a flight with bitcoin there was there's a how much there is a flight book what a travel i don't know not a travel agency like a flight booking website i'm forgetting the name right now that lets you book with bitcoin it's a thing but honestly now i just use my coinbase wallet like like you know it just i just have it it's like a debit card i just like swipe it it's nothing so i you know it feels it feels extremely integrated like if you use coinbase like like your debit card you you just use crypto all the time you know kind of

74:52Speaker 1

more and more so yeah yeah amazing

74:55Speaker 2

extremely such

74:55Speaker 1

thank you thank you so much for joining us today yeah thanks for having me this has been amazing and really excited to see everything you're you're putting out there i'm gonna be diving into all of it it's so fun by the way this comment through me craigslist where you can get murdered or married yeah

75:14Speaker 2

or both or both

75:17Speaker 2

one after the other

75:18Speaker 1

i married married a murderer kind of thing

75:20Speaker 2

yeah

75:21Speaker 1

amazing thank you so much i really appreciate you taking the time especially early in the morning adrian you definitely have to arrange your schedules in the booth because that'll just be freaking hilarious it'll happen yeah

75:35Speaker 2

that'd be fine

75:35Speaker 1

please please record some of it please for for us for us it can't be there

75:39Speaker 2

we'll get a selfie at least

75:41Speaker 1

at least at least get a selfie amazing

75:47Speaker 0

the crowd liked you into

75:49Speaker 2

that's fair no they think they could shit on me for that that's i'm a fucking nerd i don't care that's so funny

75:55Speaker 1

well thank you so much

75:56Speaker 0

i'm sorry by the way i'm also team i'm kind of also team kick like people kicking a ball around is stupid so you can cancel me too

76:05Speaker 2

we used to build cathedrals anyway just so you know like

76:09Speaker 0

i i know it's soccer has been around forever when we when we were building cathedrals we were kicking balls too still kicking your balls

76:16Speaker 2

i i actually i i played baseball in high school and it was really i was really fucking bad at it but it was a lot of fun i'm not like it's actually really fun to play sports and no problem you know go team whatever

76:26Speaker 1

go team go team

76:28Speaker 2

i'm just bad at like team stuff i don't know like

76:32Speaker 1

alright on that note thanks so much we love having you

76:36Speaker 2

great job see you

76:37Speaker 1

alright bye bye that was really fun he's hilarious he's hilarious really have enjoyed him on farcaster as well he is absolutely hilarious hey so we mentioned this raffle and i wanna make sure anyone who's hanging out we don't forget to tell you how to enter if you want to win a ticket to devconnect this is for the ticket only no airfare no hotel you're on your own for that just take

77:08Speaker 0

why you're selling our raffle

77:10Speaker 1

like i'm a lawyer

77:12Speaker 0

i'm a lawyer i'm very big if you wanna go to devconnect we have a ticket and devconnect is going to be the biggest baddest ethereum meetup and world's fair ever in argentina in buenos aires and you should come with us and we have one ticket to devconnect to give away ticket to give away

77:33Speaker 1

and you'll need to to enter via this mini app that adrian has posted and we also you also need a passphrase and the passphrase is worldcomputer so if you are not on farcaster and you need to join that little qr code will will bring you there so definitely check that out and i'm also gonna drop the link to this cast in the chat

78:00Speaker 0

yeah awesome at least one person has already joined farcaster this morning from that qr code

78:08Speaker 1

shut up that's amazing so yes very cool so go enter the raffle maybe you'll win a win a little ticket to dev connect which is gonna be amazing like as you've been hearing we've been talking about it a lot but it's going to be a whole lot of fun so go check that out go jump in the raffle and more later on that so amazing okay we've got a few more things that we wanted to shout out metamask rewards season one now live over 30,000,000 in rewards are up for grabs here's how you can secure yours there is a thread here essentially make sure your mobile app is up to date there's in the top i'm sorry in the bottom right corner you'll see a button that says rewards that's how you get started i did this i've been using metamask since 2017 i just have to say a little disappointed in my retro in my retro points could have been better so anyway movie gone

79:08Speaker 0

this from a2 a2 nanesh prath

79:11Speaker 1

i'm just saying okay like it could have been saying not enough not enough no not for i've been on there since 2017 like this isn't this has been my main wallet for a very long time and i think others would agree so if you've been using metamask for as long as that is let me know if you were happy with your with your allocation this from jacob we're rolling out azure streaming to more users this week early phases have been extremely exciting and we've improved the experience a lot already one important detail is we've made it easier to discover who is streaming right now that is an important detail by the way because that actually is what may drive some distribution if zuora becomes a place where people are scrolling so we will likely add this to our streaming destination but we're about to max out so this might be the last one this might literally be the last one we could add we've got one slot moving on this from your berserker if you haven't checked out megaphone by floor and zero expenser yet it just went live today brilliant attention fi mini app powered by the mega token if if you like if qr and better hooked up and had a baby the rewards engagers for winning bidders up to five casts during their twenty four hours control of the megaphone so really fun new way to drive attention to your activities so go check that out okay then we have shira so shira has been doing gifter and gifter is a way to send a gift on farcaster to somebody and you don't even need any of their information just their username so this is from shira airdrops bring in wallets real drops bring in humans gifter turns moments in your feed into real packages when someone launches loses or celebrates you can recognize the moment and send something they can hold not for speculation for connection so really cool and she had sent me a gifter from for our three hundredth episode so let me unbox this right now so it was really cute it's like comes in this like cute little box and then open it up and the packaging is so good in terms of like the way this this oops there you go like so cutely packaged hold on i'm not good at this can you tell i don't do this kind of thing like i'm not really an influencer i get to the news i stick to the news can you tell but so cute like look at this packaging it's so cute and handwritten notes and all kinds of like cute little things in here and this was the flower that was sent but also you can send a whole bunch of things you can send candy and little cool little cute little statue things but this is the flower the flower that's very cute so great job i love this shira i love what you're doing you met shira at dev day too wasn't she there yes it's actually physical it's a physical thing

82:31Speaker 0

yeah i met shira at a base meetup last year in new york city as well so like a base meetup she's awesome by the way she's not a dev and she literally vibe coded dev'd the entire thing herself and i was giving her like a little bit of coaching early on but it's so it's so impressive yeah because it's really well done the fact that people don't know it's physical and it's been on the feed forever right like it's because you don't expect it

82:58Speaker 1

right

83:01Speaker 0

and it's literally like yes you're you're

83:05Speaker 1

it's an actual physical thing yeah

83:07Speaker 0

comes in the mail and and the giver like if you wanna give someone whoever the like you you don't have to share your ad you're not sharing your physical address with the person who gives it to you

83:20Speaker 1

it's through the form and also you can they she also has an option to have it sent to like a ups locker kind of thing or whatever pickup pickup location so you don't even have to share your own address and be able to get a physical thing so very cute right now just a few things like bonbon candy and a few little like the flower i just showed you and a few other cute little things i just sent the namaste joe to somebody i also sent it to you but i sent it to somebody else as well

83:49Speaker 0

yes and i got one last year you did i got a namaste

83:52Speaker 1

joe no

83:55Speaker 0

from share share already so then i paid it forward and then regift it like if you receive a gift you can either accept it or you can gift it like pay it forward it's something so i gift it to our girl sneeg

84:08Speaker 1

yay siege happy happy happy engagement siege yeah i was like you pick who you wanna regift it to i'm totally totally down with that also i had somebody who was not on farcaster who i wanted to send that to so i just reached out to shira and she's making it happen which is amazing i just sent it to myself and then sent her the address so there we go i did also want to shout this out this was from monday's craziness

84:38Speaker 1

from the dude book the theater for this episode of gm farcaster because it's dishes birthday and dwr is coming i got edibles and popcorn who's coming so he had us on a movie screen and i just think that's hilarious and should not be done like you should not see it

84:57Speaker 0

and that was taken right before he opened up the doors and the crowd came in exactly

85:03Speaker 1

everyone came in to watch also this is hilarious this is from disky not sure if dwr noticed that the war blip behind him on the g on gm farcaster at the moment this was from the from the stream on monday which was you know record breaking for us and i just thought that was hilarious that he that he put put warplet back there so very cute and again just a reminder go enter for the raffle to win the ticket to devconnect and one last thing is that castout is starting next week and we are gearing up so update for everybody in terms of our sponsors we have purple has joined the crew oops i gotta take off our a little logo there also splits aptos and our original og title sponsor clanker very happy to have them on board and we're so happy to have these sponsors sponsoring we're gonna have close to like 10,000 ish usd depending on the price of eth if it stops

86:18Speaker 1

crashing worth of prize in the prize pool for the winning tribe so we're going to have about i think it's going to be eight tribes might be a couple more competing i'm finalizing the tribes today competing in challenges on farcaster to win this prize pool so very excited it's going to start on monday players if you have applied to play you should be hearing from me today as i finalize all the tribes and very excited about this thank you purple for passing the prop i'm just double checking i don't think it passed yeah it did not so thank you little nouners who did vote yes but it did not pass it didn't hit quorum it didn't hit threshold i should say so no little noun sponsorship this time but for those who are little nouners who wanted to play just reach out to me especially if you voted yes on the prop i'll find you a spot so gonna be fun gonna be a lot of fun very excited starting monday if you haven't downloaded if you haven't added our mini app yet make sure you add that you'll get notifications about everything that's happening and we will have a bracke market for this so you will be able to participate in a couple ways even if you're not one of the players one way will be on brackey if you want to try and guess who's going to win this this this season of cast out and the other way will be if you're holding the buff token we're going to have a couple opportunities to either you'll be voting on some winners you'll be voting on some things i don't want to say too much but there will be some opportunity to do some things with if you are a buff holder also if you're holding 25,000,000 buff token you can also order from the you can get a discount in the minted merch app on the cast out merch right now so what did i forget that's everything i think

88:25Speaker 0

i'm so excited for castell

88:27Speaker 1

i'm so excited i'm so excited

88:28Speaker 0

during castell we'll do daily shows at noon daily recap and voting shows at noon

88:33Speaker 1

so monday through thursday the next two weeks starting next week we'll have a noon show it'll be thirty minutes or less those do actually stay short because we get very focused we reveal who won previous challenges we talk about the challenge ahead and the first one will be on monday and it'll be actually rolled into our monday show so it'll be just in the middle of the monday show so and we that'll be perfect cast

89:01Speaker 0

90:01Speaker 0

because expect increased load

90:04Speaker 1

well like there's one in particular i'm like there's a good chance we're gonna break you so yeah i gave them a little heads up

90:13Speaker 0

what is that

90:13Speaker 1

i gave them a heads up and they said here's some price here's some here's a prize for it so i was like okay

90:19Speaker 2

amazing here we go

90:20Speaker 1

they're happy to get the they're happy to get the load testing so it's gonna be amazing and we love to see it too glad to see farcaster getting more and more popular thanks love for crypto do you know yes to crypto you two should get together

90:36Speaker 0

you're asking on twitter unfortunately we do not have the mini app on twitter

90:53Speaker 1

we don't

90:54Speaker 0

twitter is not a composable open decentralized social networking platform i'm sorry

91:00Speaker 1

built on crypto rails you forgot that part if you go to the g go to the castout channel not the gm farcaster channel i'll make it even easier go to the cast out channel on on podcast base app

91:17Speaker 0

oh it's four channels then you're gonna find it sorry

91:23Speaker 1

if you go if you go to the where the heck is it if you go to the castout channel you will see it in the feed there and also you can search for it in the mini apps either on the base app or on farcaster and just search castout and you will find it it'll say take me to ming koei island and then if you want to add it it should i've already added it so it's not didn't give me the pop up to say please you know to add the mini app but you can also go to the three little dots and then just say this will say add mini app if you haven't added it yet or remove mini app if you have and that's it but it has all the info that you will need including a list of our sponsors at the top the countdown which is giving me major anxiety as much as i love the countdown there so much anxiety every time i see it you'll be able to follow along shows will actually be playing in here you'll see our contestants and our tribes shortly challenges will get unlocked each day so you'll only see the ones that are active or are passed links to the official merch you can swap or buy the token and then lists of our additional support from and we'll be continuing to add to this for the different mini apps that we use but we don't want to give it away so and then you can share it up in the top right corner so yeah very excited next week but before then we will be back on friday and we have a special guest joining us on friday last last minute who's joining us adrienne
