well i thought you know it was interesting when you were talking about the dev connect booth last week when we talked about we kind of recapped your experience at dev connect on friday show a friday show or monday show we didn't have a show friday what am i talking about but you mentioned that that was the location where the decentralized aspects actually mattered like you finally had the audience that actually cared about that part of it where like you could talk about that and it was like oh that's you know that is actually interesting that is actually a feature that's important to me but beyond that particular audience you probably it's it's harder to sell and that's why this is when you get to number three in that discussion of we need to bring millions in that's where it starts to not matter as much right because you if you don't have the people it doesn't matter how decentralized you are so i don't know another part of that discussion or part of what we had been talking about also was is sort of part of this whole thing was in general about the history of farcaster and like where we've come from and this and that and they were talk he was talking
about frames aka mini apps and how that helped explode growth and people kind of pushed back and said woah woah woah what about dgen so v had said yassa and dgen definitely played a big part the broader point is that even dgen had a path dependency on a bunch of unique crypto social features on farcaster channels verified wallets etcetera so there yassa had responded back kind of gave a little bit of degen's story which is interesting tldr was degen's breakout is also farcasters the community energy and this open social graph made the token the major token inevitable if not dgen then something else early dgen airdrops mattered because they sparked virality and behavior loops and dgen app aims to re tap into that loop in a different way so and then talking about building the farcaster client so i think that to me is a little bit related to sort of all the discussions we've been having recently about farcaster like where do we go from here how do we tap in how do you bring more people in and you know we can talk about frames was a big moment for the devs it wasn't necessarily you like my background yeah yeah there's frames friday yeah frames friday hackathon it was huge for the devs that is a very small group of people it was not it was not the reason most of the users who came in in that moment came in they they didn't know any you know there were yes were there some devs who maybe got excited and came in because of that i'm sure there were but that wasn't it it was deejohn it was the speculative you know as much as we don't wanna admit it and as much as we don't wanna say that the focus on tokens and and wallet and trading is what may bring in those millions like we know that it probably is because speculation gets people's attention so
