you're still the talent influence yeah it's like he he's got soft influence and what he means is his role on the board is no different than anyone else

morning i did cast this so this is a lot of text but it's sort of the working documents that we have been using with a few little edits and this is about the clanker ecosystem fund so we are starting to do our first round of grants on thursday will be announced we have been prepping this we've been talking to builders we've had a lot of calls so all of this is gonna be coming on thursday during gm farcaster and then we'll also share it on all the platforms after after the fact but if you want us want to know you're gonna have to be here thursday 11:30 a m eastern you'll be the first to know if you're here so a little bit about the mission of cef is to distribute protocol fees to creators and communities who positively contribute to clanker and barcaster ecosystem we are taking about 20% of the fees are going into the fund there we do have the you can look at the fund yourself the ca is i think i have it in here somewhere i think it's in this yep so you can go take a look at the treasury address if you want to see what we have in there right now and we'll our goal is to distribute most of what's in there for the month on thursday so there will be maybe a little bit of rollover to next month we don't know you know month to month how things are gonna go so we might have quieter months this month surprisingly turned out well so we're excited we get to give away a lot of money very excited so a little bit more in terms of like how we're doing this we are for now we did not like put an application out there for anyone to apply we have been because we are so deep in this ecosystem we know who the builders are we know what people have been doing and we went through a process of chatting with those builders doing calls with everybody doing chatting in dms about what they're working on checking in to see if people are still active if some things have slowed down a little bit just to make sure that we're not you know missing missing something in terms of what's going on there and we're really excited we're really excited to give away money it's very exciting so that'll be happening thursday and then how we're determining it is really just looking at what they're building what their impact has been and how they're helping the farcaster and or clanker ecosystems so there you go and more to come on thursday but you can read all about it here in this thread oh i will mention this we have four different types of grants we've kind of categorized them builder grants which are going to be larger for really sustained builders who have been here for a significant amount of time they build something that has some impact that's going to be our highest sort of award sustainability grants are to help the projects maybe smaller projects but help them keep going because we've heard a lot of issues around that with just even paying for the infra to keep things rolling even if you're not doing anything you know new but just to keep it up and running so that's what that grant is is for in particular fresh clank grants which are for like they're newer we don't really know you know if they're gonna sustain over time but they're having some kind of impact and we want to recognize them so that's the fresh clank and then activation grants activation grants are specifically to be put back into the ecosystem so you're doing something with those funds like you know hackathons or tournaments or competitions or something along those lines some kind of activity and that's gonna be those grants so very excited little bit of a faq here and i just saw a comment from brad let me see if i can find it because it was really funny we know not everyone's going to agree with this for sure like we know there's gonna be comments we know there's gonna be people like you know what about my bags what happened to you know like what about this one or that one we're gonna miss some but there's this is not the end this is just the beginning so this is the first round of grants not the only round of grants so just keep that in mind adrienne what else do you wanna say about this
i guess i'll start off by saying clank clank because you can't hear clanker without that in my head clank clank but i was gonna say the same thing like this is where where the intention are monthly monthly grants at the end of every month and we're we are committed to operating with transparency and integrity as best we can and we probably will make a mistake someone out there will think we're making a mistake so share feedback like you know like we're we're not perfect but we are committed to doing the best and i this first month has been super great because it's you know it's it's a long time coming and the there's a lot of projects i think that are so deserving
and i think there will be people out there that feel left out that are missed you know and and i they do wanna iterate yes it's it's this is an indefinite ongoing long term grant program so just yeah just be share feedback with us as we go and we're planning on you know iterating and and tweaking and making it great for yeah the ecosystem i love that we're kind of keeping it mission focused yep so yes we are putting in certain systems in place to run this effectively we came up the categories to make it easier for us to kind of manage it but it really just is about there's a lot of flexibility baked in to how do we support builders and projects that are doing things that make forecaster and clanker great so it's exciting
