lol the dog i know he's so cute alright and it is black shirt day yes it's black shirt day and clinker hat day so there you go i'm sorry you didn't get the email you didn't get the email but here we go and i'm actually wearing my eat sleep clank repeat shirt from vinted merch so i am ready for today alright moving on to the local news aka farcaster news we had a community call yesterday so that happened yesterday it does happen the end of the month there is a fabulous notion doc that had all of the details of the agenda which is really helpful also if you want to get just an over quick overview and we'll include this link in our show notes and we're going to talk about a lot of these like spaces launch now it's open to everyone snaps and cast composer they do this once a month so some of this news we've already talked about but just kind of reviewing real quick expo fifty five upgrade is completed this was the react native client was on the end of life v 53 version 53 and there were a lot of issues and it took a little bit to get the updates through the app stores so thanks for the patience if you're still having bugs and concerns tag the team intern is watching home feed lots of lots of things happening auto translation is gonna surface non native language cast to relevant users so that's exciting spam bot scam mini app detection has improved significantly and i saw peachy point that out as well and peachy's our spam expert so if she says it say it because if it wasn't true

she would tell us in app browser improvements in progress secondary private wallet took longer than expected due to architectural changes required to support multiple wallets with different seed phrases so eta one week that's still really soon if they can get sloq back for like an hour they can probably get it done we love you sloke we miss you in the developer part of the call mainar starter and growth tiers will be folded into the free tier so now there's gonna be a much larger option for a free tier and only the scale and enterprise will remain paid so that's exciting so if you're building on neynar and using any of their tools i believe within i think june it said this will be the new fee structure so if you've been paying that like $29 tier i assume is that's what's gonna move to free so that's exciting in clancor cef happens today we're gonna talk about that in a little bit hygienic experiments are a few weeks out from mvp and they'll share more when they get closer that's gonna be really interesting we've heard a little bit about that but excited to see that roll out and see how that works b five contract work has begun so so this is gonna be a multi month project and will require an audit but there's in the process token discovery search and trending improvements have landed there was a recent incident where a user was exploited via a sniper auction contract due to a non atomic approvals this was a user error not a clinker protocol exploit totally missed this one by the way so the clinker contracts were unaffected so just to clarify that and clarification on mainnet clanker tokens can be launched on mainnet via sdk but they can't be like by just tagging clanker right now because there is some additional gas required lastly we've got some things happening on the protocol level fips sign snap say snap chain signers two sixty six is live users can now issue signers with granular permissions rather than global access barcaster backend to snapchain signers is the pipeline and he's kevin's on leave for the week i think he's just on a little holiday and he'll be picking that back up when when he comes back live activity status this was what you're seeing for spaces but there's more coming or can be coming we'll see what they end up doing with it so this is implemented and activating june 4 useful for presence indicators video streaming etcetera so i'm hoping we can do something with that but i guess we'll find out and then live activity manifest two sixty nine is in review snap chain improvements a bunch of snap chain improvements have happened as well as validator expansion they are seeking operators to run snap chain validators in new geographies initial mumbai testnet went ran run went well so they want to open this up to have greater geography

options across the world so there you go so that was the community call there was some discussion at the end regarding hypersnap snapchain this is the same discussion that's been happening and where the fork discussion came from so it's the same discussion cassie feels that the hyperchain hypersnap nodes should be recognized as snapchain nodes the nienar team disagrees they're open to her running a regular snapchain node but don't wanna move to that so we will see

the announcements for the clanker ecosystem fund grants and just making sure everything is ready to go here we go i am just double checking my thread here and

alright we're gonna read this and then it will be casted after the fact so apologies i did have this ready to go we are so excited to announce round one of the clanker ecosystem fund grants thank you to dish for first coming to us with this idea and to rish and team for entrusting us as stewards we've created four categories of grants we i put out a cast the other day really went into detail about the what these grants are and so i'll just quickly summarize we have builder grants these are for the older og projects they've been around for a while they're they're they've demonstrated their value and we want to make sure we we give them sort of like the highest regard sustainability grants these are a little smaller still important and really are the goal there is to help those teams keep going especially if they're struggling a little bit with infra costs and things like that we know there's a lot of folks who are dealing with that so that is really what we're looking at for that if you get a sustainability grant this month doesn't mean you can't get a builder grant somewhere down the road it doesn't and none of these grants that we're giving out prohibits a future grant as well so this is you know could be a one time thing or it could be something we do again depending on the value that we see coming out of the grants that we give out then we have something we're calling fresh clank grants these are smaller grants intended to recognize projects that they've created a lot of energy and attention they're new we don't know what they're you know if they're gonna have a long shelf life we have no idea but they're driving a lot of attention and energy to the ecosystem right now and we want to make sure that we are recognizing them and then lastly we have activation grants activation grants are have a specific purpose so we're giving them to the builders to do something with it so it might be running a tournament of some sort running a game running a competition it might be doing giveaways of some sort it might be creating something new in a game you already have that exists or whatever so something that's new and exciting that can involve the community and that's what those grants are really for before i start announcing adrienne anything else that you want to mention before we start going through our list

is right exactly yeah exactly so everything yeah there's everything in terms of like any of the other grants sustainability builder fresh clank there's no expectations do with it what you want activation grants we do have a little expectation we'll confirm people are good with that and then there is some kyc that is required yes so we will be touching base with everybody on that and directing them to what we need for them to proceed all right continuing on we have three builder grants that we're giving this time around along with activation grants to each of these builders these are longer term builders i don't think there's any surprises in this at least you know two out of the three for sure

so this is where we started they're long term builders have been very deep in the farcaster and clanker ecosystems so the first three in the builder grants and these are our largest grants that we're doing this year i mean this month and is qr fun by jake an $8,000 builder usdc builder grant in 2,000 usdc activation grant betterment by toadie hawk and netnos $8,000 builder grant 2,000 activation grant and trimerge or emerge by a town and the emerge team 5,000 builder grant 1,000 activation grant one of the things when we were talking with a town in particular is like they you know they've been struggling to get that funded we love emerge i think it's some one of the most fun mini apps i've seen on the timeline so we're hoping this can kick start them and get them back rolling again so we're excited to see emerge re emerge so that's the first three continuing on continuing on our next round of grants these are sustainability grants and activation grants we have minted merch cat cartel and savage $2,000 sustainability grant dollars $1,000 activation grant and we're hoping you know do some giveaways of some some free stuff like like this is what we're hoping with that better with brrrr brrrr and plants nft $2,000 sustainability grant $1,000 activation grant if you have not seen the better with brrrr mini app go check it out doing a lot of games poker different games all the time bringing in some sports into it just fun things on the timeline and we love to see it runner by darko runner was one of the first technically may have been the first community token that was put out there on clankr and there's debates on that but we're gonna say we're gonna claim it first meme out there but they've also developed a mini app that relates directly to running you can go to the runner channel to see more about that they're in the process of doing an upgrade to that and adding it to strava and doing a whole bunch of things so runner darko 2,000 sustainability grant 1,000 activation grant farverse by m f bevin this is like a bunch of different games he's created he's created like a whole little world with a whole bunch of different games and activations and fun things so we're doing a $2,000 sustainability grant dollars 500 activation grant for mf bevin rips and planks by nas1188 and team $2,000 sustainability grant dollars 1,000 activation grant which will likely get some new clanker tokens into their games moving on we've got a lot guys we've got like 30 i think it's ended up being 32 grants plus something special and 21 grantees i think is where we landed so like we've got a little ways to go these are sustainability grants category

so and these are kind of kind of hit a category of like tools and really good great tools that are for those who create clankers or that those who trade clankers so if you have never used some of these tools highly recommend you check them out they're all amazing also we're going to be doing individual posts for all these different projects it's just going to take us a while like i said we've got a lot but we wanted to do one big post to announce them and then we will put out individual posts and this post will be out right after but i'm gonna have to redo it because it won't didn't it didn't stick so we'll try a couple things but we may have to redo it continuing on sustainability grants category and the fresh client category so some of these grantees also earned activation grants so we have among traders by seltorius $2,000 sustainability grant $500 activation grant hoping they'll do a little tournament something fun autoboy by the firm 2,000 sustainability grant dota agents by az flynn 2,000 fresh clank grant and 1,000 activation grant expecting to see some tournaments from him in that team charms ai 2,500 usdc fresh clank grant they have been popping off with their new character like each character has a clanker it's like a whole thing so go check that out if you haven't already vini app by juan dalinsky and nikolai dollars 2,000 sustainability grant and a $1,000 fresh clank grant for nikolai for uci which was created on binney app by the way on binney app it also launches clankers if you didn't know that particular integration and then we have a couple of special ones that may not seem directly clanker related but bring a lot of joy to the timeline on farcaster and that is pixar didn't happen by kenny a $1,000 sustainability grant and $500 activation grant and say angel 2,000 sustainability grant and especially for creative use of using somebody else's clunker that already existed rather than creating their own when he was creating the warplots and the things he's how he's integrated that and then lastly we are putting aside 5,000 usdc for a creator sprint this is gonna happen we'll announce more about this next week when we'll we'll have a particular application for this we're looking for five writers and five video short form video creators to create content around clankr and what you'll do is propose an idea you don't have to do the full thing we don't want you to do it and then apply we want you to propose what you want to do give us some links back to previous work this will all be in a form for you to fill out and we'll pick our you know top five writers top five video creators we're especially looking for those who might be over on twitter who have some good following have some good talent that we can feature as well so this is not limited to just those who are well known on farcaster we really want to drive more attention overall to what everyone's doing all right we did 21 different projects 32 different grants plus 10 small grants of 500 usdc each that'll be used for the creator sprint a total of $72,000 has been awarded in this round and due to the size of the awards there is a kyc process we'll be reaching out to all of the grantees to confirm yes they accept the grant and to get through that process and then we

all grantees are eligible for future grants and we know we missed a lot of people and we know we're getting haters this time we already have haters it was it was hilarious i was like we already have haters adrienne and we haven't even announced anything yet

like like we know we can't please everyone we know this but we hoped we casted a wide net to make sure we hit those people who have been you know grinding for a while as well as some newbies who have just done something that's captured a lot of attention we know we missed a bunch of people we already have a list of future grantees there's a good chance if you're thinking i didn't get one and you've done a lot of work and you have a you know a good project you're probably on that list it's not your worth guess it's nothing it's not your worth

exactly so we're excited we what we'd spent a lot of time on this list we met with most of these builders and had calls with them to talk about talk to them about you know what they were doing what's their latest etcetera etcetera and we also the big thing we asked at every call as we were wrapping up is who would you like to see get a grant who do you think is deserving of a grant and that's how we built this list up so there were people that we kept hearing over and over again from builders that we had talked with so we're excited for all these grantees and we're excited to keep this rolling we didn't we didn't award the full amount that's sitting in the treasury yet because we are concerned and there were some concerns by some folks on the on the clinker team as well that we don't know how money how much you know right now things have been rolling in pretty well but we don't know that that's going to continue and usually in the summer months it gets quieter so to keep a little reserved so that we did have some for next month and be able to share that be able to award some good size grants next month as well so we hope it keeps building and we'll keep seeking to maximize those funds and get them out to deserving builders in the ecosystem alright and thanks melissa you're welcome thank you i agree we like the merch what can we say cat we need some we need some more merch we like the merch lots of good things in the chat thanks everyone a lot of congratulations

yeah creator grants more to come on that next week and we'll have an application process for this so those have not been we haven't selected anyone for that yet but we're looking for writers and video creators so that for this particular round we might shift that in future we may may not do one again we'll see how it goes if we do it again it might have a different focus so we'll we're gonna play around with that that's gonna be something we iterate on so very excited congratulations to everyone
