okay and there's and usually there's updates in that notion and also again farcaster interns sharing updates i'm sure there'll be another cast today that'll have more any if anything else was mentioned during the call alright moving on speaking of droids airgap airgap and gappy have been experimenting with some fun aspects of this this is clanker legion which has a ai agent attached with a token you launch them at the same time the agent automatically gets their own farcaster account when you launch it and part of the fees are set aside to actually pay for the cost of the agent so this is still in beta still an experiment so more to come soon but gapi and air gap have been hard at work so this is from air gap our droid now births other droids go to airgap.financemeetgappy talk to it tell it you want your own it spins up a droid that's fully yours runs its own token works its own bags and casts on farcaster earning around the clock yours to own live right now and every droid born this way feeds the ecosystem it came from more volume more buybacks more fuel for the whole network next we wire air gap intelligence straight into them so your droid can trade on real on chain alpha tuned to your thesis a second income stream autonomous a droid that launches droids that funds that fund the machine recursion as a business model the agent economy arrives when the agents start making more agents meet gapi launch yours so very interesting experiment go check it out and go check out gapi gapi is also a little little agent on farcaster okay this from farcaster intern we want onboarding new people to farcaster to be better if you've onboarded or onboarded someone else recently what was the hardest part what caused friction and what would you change first the more specific the more useful so this was matt lee's response to this i've tried to onboard a few non tech natives to farcaster lately and there is such a crazy amount of unnecessary friction asked to link to an x account about 50% of people don't have x and immediately associates farcaster with elon in their heads who is controversial good point great point asks you to pay if you don't have an x account absolute no for onboarding just no full stop drop it we all know this i don't even know the current state of referrals what does that do i just know it didn't seem to help i was able to when i onboarded my class the invite code did give them a free account at that time so i don't know if
something's changed the two people i've invited yeah in the past two weeks i gave them an invite code and neither of them i don't think either of them connected twitter and they i most certainly would not have to have paid because i feel like i would have heard about it
right yeah so i'm pretty sure that the referrals still give you a free account because i know i did that this spring with my students and they i definitely wouldn't have had them pay yeah and they didn't and none of them had a twitter account so i'm pretty sure that's what works i don't understand why these spam filters are considered necessary for farcaster not other social apps these are established long solve problems great points and i think we had a massive spam problem for a while and that's when the dollar fee came into play i think it was also we had a moment where a lot of agents were signing up so that was another reason so it was just a mat a matter of just kind of controlling costs as well for storage so i think that was the reasoning there but doesn't mean that it's still a good reason and then this from max jackson on the same topic farcaster i think can turn its weakness into a strength the weakness my weakness when onboarding people is that there are multiple hurdles you have to get you have to get a person over just to agree to try it out crypto alone is a huge hurdle and everyone's exhausted and nobody wants another social account that's dead dead true but the strength is in how this is truly frontier stuff tight wallet and app integrations into social media is just so much smoother than plugins like metamask or anything that requires walletconnect this is the superior crypto social experience for the people who get the scene here this place rules we are here way more more than acts for reasons but for outsiders they need a strong motivation to be here most people here for the crypto leave when the latest wellspring dries up true the social incentives are not there for them for me as a builder and crypto artist the incentive is clear i'm in the arena trying things i want to show my work and gain some public integrity i like what that guy i think benny said in the farcaster community call the other day about not wanting to see channels he can't participate in i don't necessarily agree but i can imagine a better social media platform where channels can be private or at least not shown on main if channels could be quickly spun up for a group it might be easier to onboard communities of people we've and we've seen that happen in the past where whole communities came over because of a channel wouldn't it be nice to have a feed just for channels you follow just like we have for accounts we follow i can't tell you i think we did for a while i can't tell you actually they were at the top they were at the top for a while you're muted

all right we've got a couple more things before we make our announcements but we're moving into the cef stuff now i had posted this yesterday as we get ready for round two of ces announcements what we're about to do right now we'd love to hear from our round one grantees on how their grants have impacted their projects and if you received an activation grant share how you've used that add links to any related cast or share your plans that are in the works we know some folks just received their funds it took some time to get the stack tax stuff on we it took us like some people literally just got their funds this week so no worries if you're still in the planning stages and then i tagged our grantees and if you look in this thread you'll start to see a whole bunch of different updates we have one from burr and now it's lobby it was better with burr it's now lobby and what they're doing they have base games part two coming up revenge is best served based there's gonna be a thousand usdc on the line for that if you play going up to dota dota's been putting funds to work immediately buying more art from talented three d artists a whole bunch of things going on there go check that out we also have coming up and i wanna share this separately this is the betterment activation grant being put to work enter the neon clankerverse we're launching an open art contest on betterment powered by the clanker ecosystem fund with 2,000 usdc and prizes up for grabs the brief create a piece of art in the style any style or medium inspired by neon clankerverse something that evokes both clanker and better how to enter quote cast this cast include neon clankerversed in the text submit before july 1 so you have until next what day next week sometime i have no idea what day next one today so you got a little less than a week top three entries will get 200 oh they're getting better not usdc they're getting $200 worth of better 17 additional standout entries featured on betterment 75 dollars worth of better each ai policy ai can be used as a tool in the creative process but preference will always be given to high effort handmade work let's flood the timeline and let neon art shine clank clank so if you are an artist or you know an artist tag them tag them in this i'm sure it's on twitter as well give it a tag and get working excited to see all this art on the timeline and there will be some more updates that'll be dropping in here this we also had this from femi so kenny had posted an update and then it disappeared from the time so i don't know what happened if he was something he needed to edit or something but this from femi will use this opportunity to give a huge shout out to kenny p o i d h bot for what they've been cooking with social bounties these past couple weeks bounties are clearly having a moment on fc right now and it shows from the world cup bounties to technical and creativity ones the ceo founded bounties have kept farcaster culture alive pretty sure they even hit their highest rank on fc mini app's leaderboard last week too okay what was that noise

let me go like that oops no no that was better where i was never mind there we go we're gonna start with the creator sprint and i'm excited to share with you our winners for this we have for our video creators we had 71 applicants so we went through every single one i went through every single one i looked at everybody's accounts i looked at everything it took me quite a while video creators afrochicks will be one of our video creators and i'm super excited anna carolina pauline from pauline munich from los fomos i i think it's the los fomos team and she applied on behalf of them rachel w and tiny rain boot and tiny rain boot i found out as i was looking at her application has quite has quite the quite the
presence on instagram and other other places so i was very excited about that so congratulations video creators and we'll be touching base with you after this put you in a chat to answer any questions and then our writers depressive hacks divifly nikki sapp sixx and brad q and i'm really excited all these writers have different approaches they want to take to this divvyfly's doing a more technical deep dive you know we've got depressive hacks wants to do like a one zero one we've got some other like taking a look at sort of the culture and or new features divvyfly's is gonna be a technical dive into b 20 brad q is gonna be looking at the the droids and clanker legion six is kinda looking at a little bit more on the technical side as well nikki sapp kinda looking at where we've been where we are so lots of different approaches to this that i'm really excited for all of these creators so congratulations and we're looking forward to seeing what you produce and for those who are wondering this is the first time we've done this we're going to see how it goes we may have something in the future we had a lot of great creators who we weren't able to you know bring into this round we're keeping you on file like if we do this again we'll we'll reach out so very excited and congratulations to everybody these are some great yeah great writers great creators very excited very excited okay now on to our grant announcements so we have how many grants did we end up doing this time i forget

she's making up numbers 23 23 grants oh and it's and it's 18 or yeah 18 different projects i think if i've got that right i think that's what i'm looking at your summary so i think that's right because we did add one sort of last minute so i think that's correct so less than we did last time 17 17
p 17 projects so some of the people get count get the sustainability with an activation so they're kinda double counted
and so but a much much less funding so it's how much is the total funding is it $46,000 usdc so 23,000 we have it's a it's a smaller round this time we did a very large round the first time because we were sort of looking backwards and doing a lot of retro to those who have been building for a long time this one is similar we kind of have like captured some folks that we may have missed in the first round as well as some newbies who are doing some cool things right now so we're excited we definitely missed people we know we did so if you feel like we missed someone or you feel like you got missed you know just post a little something in the cef in a nice way of like hey i think maybe you overlooked this project here's what they've done this is what they're doing it's really cool you should check them out and we will we absolutely will before the next round so here we go here are our rounds and we don't have the amounts on the screen but most of the sustainability grants are 1,000 the activation grants are 500 there's one sustainability grant that's 500 and that's it for the most part and then we have one builder grant at 5,000 usdc so at the top our only builder grant for this round is matt lee for tortoise and all the other things he's building yes he's built many many things over the years including a really cool snap that helped you make other snaps and like he's done a lot of different things so the builder grant is 5,000 usdc matt lee we really appreciate your continued efforts and i am gonna go retest my hearing and
and matt lee is a total og farcaster has been to every farcon though you would not though there's no proof of it because he was not on stage at farcon rome so he can't prove it but rumor has it he's been to four farcons so he's not someone that just showed up recently
no he's been there since early early days so congratulations matt lee you're our builder grant for this round we may or may not do always do a builder grant but this was definitely one we wanted to make sure so we know he was there he just wasn't on stage when he was supposed to be he missed the panel he missed the panel arjan he missed it yeah the so anyway

he showed up after anyway moving on for sustainability grants we have bazaar beasts and those are all these are 1,000 usdc for sustainability and 500 for activation bazaar beasts atlas and jrf likes from yarrow zerex and also an activation grant letter loops from zeroactjudd sustainability grant brand from e s t o t o d g e i don't know how to pronounce that estodge sustainability grant at 1,000 dsky for fight night we got a sustainability grant and an activation grant for 500 los fomos pauline and taco sustainability grant farcaster pro mini app and a whole bunch of other things he has built he's built like i don't even know 15 mini apps or something casalsman for sustainability grant there you go then moving on eric's and jonathan colton for fotocaster and glyphs sustainability grant at 1,000 and an activation grant of 500 celebration hug for duck facts sustainability grant log a dog mike mike and actually mike it's for all the things you've built i mean the bird bets the everything all the things a sustainability grant for you plus kenny and mike are gonna be working together on a poidh for log a dog so there's gonna be a special thing coming next week it'll start next week it'll go throughout the summer there'll be different opportunities to not only log your dog but also post it on pixar didn't happen so that is a 500 usdc sustainability grant and 500 usdc activation grant kenny and viniap are the only ones that we re upped for this particular round because of the activity it generated in the first round so quickly that we wanted to make sure they were recognized again and we know they're gonna put the funds to great use so that was vinny app you see on there sustainability at 1,000 and activation at 500 product clank lior sustainability and an activation grant and look for that we'll have more information about the product client activation in probably coming over the next week or so air gap is our only fresh clank from xinzerox and we just talked about air gap and gappy they're doing some great experiments with the clanker legion and the droids so we wanted to recognize that and our last grant is to rebury for rocks and the 37 client a sustainability grant for 1,000 usdc and that is all of them so congratulations to all the grantees we'll be posting this and tagging everyone and reaching out to everyone for next steps so you'll see me in your dcs later today so look for that and that's it yeah amazing yes dicks dsky it's two grants so one is sustainability just for you know help you keep working and building and the other is the activation grant that we chatted about for doing tournaments or other fun things i think you're gonna do some character making some characters available cheaper or free or something like that we talked about it i can't remember exactly but i'll be sliding into your dm so we can we can chat a little more so very excited excited to see more activation things happening if you we'll be sharing again more details we'll have you know specific information about all these projects so if you're not familiar with them you can check them out and very excited congratulation builders a lot of great builders in there there's also a ton of like activation things that are gonna be happening from the first round that are just starting to roll out it's been again it was a little slow we did a lot larger grant round last time so look for those like things like the you know better the base games and things like that will be happening so look for that with burr and all kind and the neon clanker verse contest that's going on right now for the artists and and then you're also gonna start to see all the creator sprint stuff happening so very exciting
