but it was very funny and in our actual news the clarity act stalls it didn't stall well it the it failed the cloture vote which means it debate is still open the bill is still open it still could come up for another vote at some point in time but it's not moving forward at this time so but this from decrypt clarity act stalls in senate as crypto bill fails to clear key vote the crypto market structure bill failed to receive enough votes to advance in the senate so
unsurprising but yet surprising because even the cosponsor of the bill voted no so here is here is the thing the the word you know the line the line that was being passed around the talking points if you will on the democrat side for the democrats that were planning to vote yes and who had been pro on this their talking points are where the ethics part was not strong enough however what you've now voted for is no ethics okay i would love it if just for once they would be honest about what was really going on because what's really going on is they do not want to hand any kind of a win or any kind of like any kind of a win to the republicans right before the midterm elections period full stop it's not about the bill has nothing to do with the bill whatsoever and i find that very frustrating because our governments just completely stopped working and also they literally stopped working yesterday to shut down something else they the house shut down and went on break again they have been on break more this year than any other year like probably in the history of congress like it's insane so it would be really nice if they would just you know actually do their job would be fun but here we are that's my rant on that so we know what happens next the sec and the cftc were all set to do rules they'd already released these months ago some of these rules had already been in process to getting these put into place and this is one of them the innovation ex exemption so this was announced today the sec issued an order granting temporary conditional exempted relief to tokenize security securities venues from the definition of exchange in the exchange act to trade tokenized nms stock using innovative permissioned automated market makers and liquidity pools so what this means is that what you're seeing for example the b 20 the what coinbase is doing with tokenized stocks and the one to one which you still get you get dividends you get every benefit of the stock but you're trading it as a token those are exempted from any kind of limits that might be put on them in the current sec rules or or laws other types of stocks what we call synthetic which is what you see on like robinhood are not exempted as part of this it doesn't mean they won't be but as of for this particular exemption the way this is written those would not be included and i think it was yeah larson had a good explanation here so just i'll read it through this the sec granted a five year innovation exemption today letting on chain amm venues trade tokenized stocks without registering as exchanges exchanges in the in the terms of stock exchange not crypto exchanges as we know them just to be clear here's what's in it and what what isn't the rules let's see mookie's also upset about this whole clarity act he's very upset quiet the rules the token must carry the same rights as the real share every trader and liquidity provider has to be permissioned mookie mookie shut up it has to be permissioned and if a third party tokenizes the company's stock that company can object and block trading what's so it has to be permission you have to have the permission of the stock not you can't just randomly do it what's left out synthetics that covers robinhood's debt based stock tokens ondo and xstox notes and stock perps on hyper liquid which is the most which is most of the on chain equity action right now again they're not at this moment banning it but this is the next thing she says so is the sec planning to ban synthetics though a trade group has made such a request it's not a statement in any ways an official said the spokesperson added that the order is not a signal of any future intentions so as of right now the only ones would be the one to ones where you get all the same exact rights as the original okay and then paul atkins had some statements we'll include i'm not going to play this but we'll include it in the show notes that talks more about this particular new rule the innovation exemption now this has been like discussed for a while like this innovation exemption

i spent all day yesterday part like doing some deferred maintenance on our two apis oh

that i built over the summer because i realized that none of the apis were actually listed on like lists that agents could self discover oh which i thought they were so i thought they were but they weren't and there were things that even though they like the apis were available so anyone who has called like warpy you can call warpy and pay 0.5 a cent for his knowledge base and you can book a shout out but it pretty much everyone who's been doing it i think is discovering it from us talking about it

notes so i spent like all day yesterday getting that out of active seed submitted it to so it's like listed now in the tempo directories oh cool there's a website that has all of these so i was able to submit that and then with x four zero two it's interesting because you don't actually list it the minute someone if someone purchases your api like if an agent purchases makes the first payment it automatically gets listed
oh that's cool
so i think that's an interesting mechanism but yeah it had worked only for one of our apis and the other one wasn't set up for that so i fixed that all day all yesterday and the only thing i haven't really done is a full like independent third party verification that like an an agent who has no context of jamf or caster could discover and pay for these apis
figure out who yeah
cool so that is next and then once that's done i have like about 30 to 40 more api ideas that i wanna start adding and build out you know a a library of
