i love it i know you can hear the rest of the song going just trying to avoid any type of copyright you know cease and desist letters so we are gonna recap the first day of cast out talk about what it is we're gonna talk about bracket game and then we're gonna do a few reveals but before that i have to end the first game so we're gonna end it live on screen and i'm going to yoink from somebody and they're gonna win a thousand d gen and then we'll make the official ending of the first game which was a yoink cast out game so thank you to horsebacks for designing this it's amazing and i really appreciate it and i'm gonna switch us over here so actually i'll go back to the other way that looked better because we need a little bigger whoops a little bigger
so they've been yoinking away and i'll i'll give you a little rundown of that but to end the game i'm gonna yoink it once and whoever is currently holding it is gonna win a thousand degen from me so that reward is going to oh never mind the game ended i don't know who had it last i'll have to ask horse facts i was supposed to yank it one more time you won't get one more time oh well so horse facts whoever had it last you gotta let me know so i can give them their degen their degen win oh that was anticlimactic but anyway

i honestly have no oh oh wait a minute yes i do never mind we've got it hold on we've got it and this is incredibly unsurprising i can just look at the leaderboard i didn't realize it i thought i had to do one last yoink but here's the leaderboard tony hawk toadie hawk with the flag so toadie hawk you're getting a thousand degen from the castout eth prize wallet i'll be sending that your way and we can also see how this leaderboard ended as well mole fourteen hours forty one minutes three hundred and fifty seven yoinks wow wow nine hours twenty one minutes fifty eight seconds three hundred and seventy one yoinks what was going on is that mole was really good at holding the flag like really good they were incredibly organized so it was quite impressive so just a quick break brief down this is cast out if you're just tuning in and you're like i have no idea what the hell is going on this is cast out this is a farcaster version of survivor so there you go and all of the challenges will be being played on on farcaster in some way either farcaster native or connected and these are all our current players right now one of them will be voted out today and we have two tribes the wawa tribe and the mole tribe and their first challenge was the yoink game and for those who are farcaster ogs you've been playing this for a while there is a public game in the slash yoink channel and we also i had some play with that as well yesterday so i was giving out some dgen tips to people i was yoinking flags from and i didn't quite get all of the ones done that i wanted to do but i'll be doing some more of that today so the team who held it the longest was the winner the tribe that held it longest and that was the mole tribe so they had immunity so the wow wow tribe is currently voting out somebody from their team so oh tldr you had a back row see i don't think you were paying attention i know you were a little busy yesterday but the group chat there's two group chats there's one for each tribe and it they were popping off it was my notifications look

disorder from the constant buzzing of that while doing other stuff but but it was just fun
to see how happy

it was super impressive i was really impressed by the activity for both teams and here was the funny thing right from the start both of them were like how can we create a bot immediately they wanted bots and the team that actually created the bot was the wow wow team isn't it such a part it's like so farcaster like how can i bot this immediately i wanna work smarter not harder it was so funny
and so and so like is your read that that mole just bought it better or bought

what's they didn't bought they didn't have a bot going so what's funny is that the wow wow team is convinced that the mole team had a bot going but actually they were the bots they were just incredibly organized

it's quite a mix but it was really they were just really well coordinated they were very well coordinated they had a system where if somebody went to yoink and you can't you get you get into a time out and at first i thought it was ten minutes but horse facts shortened the time out to five minutes in the public game it's ten so they figured that out early

yes so doink is a capture the flag type of game so it is and i will show you on the public yoink so we can see how it works but yoink is just a capture the flag game and there's the public yoink game is just fun and it has no there's no prize it's it's infinite it just goes on forever so let me show this whoops

it's it's a capture the flag type of game i forgot that the leaderboard doesn't stay in so it's just like you're all you're doing is yanking it yoinking it back and forth so that's it so if you start so right now test tickles has the flag they have yoinked this many times and then if i yoink now i have the flag and that's how many yoinks i've had 39 yoinks and that's how long i've hold upheld it so it it tracks the data of who has it who you got it from who you gave you know who got it from you and then also how long you've held it so their times
what makes me not just like why would they just not be stealing it from each other constantly how how would anybody be getting to hold it for the time what's the dynamic that would prevent the other team from stealing back immediately
they can so they can but you have to the same person cannot so what happens is if i go to yoink this now yep even though i just yoinked and now it's no longer with me i can't slow down you're yoinking too fast you can only yoink the flag every ten minutes so so i personally keep going boom boom boom boom boom exactly so you have to board the

exactly so for the cast out yoink game it was only for those who held who were on one of the 16 players no if you went in and tried to yoink it during the gameplay it would tell you you can't yoink this flag you're not one of the players so that's that was the difference so he created a custom yoink for me so thank you horse facts i appreciate it super cool yeah it was really fun and then the public game though anyone can play anyone can play the public one
so the the i mean i i think that like people don't the audience doesn't understand because it was all happening behind closed doors in these group chats i mean many hours many cumulative person hours were spent yoinking

like it was a i mean i i think there it was kind of this is getting squid game esque of like making that twenty four hours long because i think people were just exhausted by the end of it

it's really
it was a little it was a little late for me to make a switch yeah i i wish i had done it for twelve hours would have been plenty it would have been enough to like make it significant to have you have to play but it wouldn't have been overwhelming so if i and and this is why i'm calling this the beta is because i know there's things that are gonna need to be tweaked that immediately needs to be tweaked way too long for them to have to pay that close of attention however it could be a really fun thing with a larger group that was more global so i could see this being a great dao wars kind of a thing where you have different daos you know playing capture the flag for some kind of you know prize pool and so there i see future you know future ways to approach this even from cast out i definitely would make it shorter if i was doing a different type of game i might make it longer you know it just depends but i would have a time where it ends for sure so there's some kind of finality
i mean but i just love to see that they were everybody was into it they were we're making i mean there was a lot of organizing that goes into doing that it's it reminded me almost of like some kind of like a retreat you know where it's like a learning experience like who's gonna take the lead what are we gonna do who's in who's active like it's a really
great point i think it was a perfect team building type of game and i i didn't even think that all the way through i was thinking well this is a good game that everyone can get involved in but i was i didn't you know as i was seeing it all come together i'm like wow this really reveals a lot of things to people so this really worked well as a first challenge so they really had a chance to get to know each other's skills from a like soft skill perspective there was definite organizers definite leaders
there were definite slackers so it's it's really interesting it's really
we won't we won't we won't read and tell we're both like high journalistic integrity we're just flies on the wall in the in the chat
i i have to figure out there has to be a better way i have to figure out ways to show some of that and it'll be really from talking to the players after the fact we'll get more as we go along as people are voted out and at the end i'm gonna invite everybody to come on

well for the first three challenges the team that loses will vote one person off their tribe off their island for the fourth challenge it's a little different it's a combo team slash individual challenge and when we get there next week i'll explain that more but that one in particular will be the halving so we'll lose about half of the players in that challenge so that's when it will and then so then just to just to kind of speed run it a little bit so we don't drag this on forever wow

best memes so this is what they're gonna do next they have to create a meme a farcaster centric meme so if you're listening tribes i'm giving this to you a little early to give you time to prep there's going to be a couple caveats it can be anything it can literally be anything any kind of meme they want to do it can be animated it can be whatever it can be a traditional meme you know something focused on forecaster whatever they think is going to get the most likes on warpcast i'm keeping it to warpcast for simplicity's sake they get to choose which channel to post it in they do not have to post in the memes channel however if you are the host of a channel you cannot be the person who posts it so if you're the if you're the owner of the channel you can't post it in that channel

interesting so ted and jacek nonlinear and then adrianne but adrianne has more owners so that's fascinating so what is your analysis first of all let's step back for a minute and talk about what is bracket game and then let's talk about your analysis of this particular bracket and how are we doing
yeah so bracket game is as you could probably kinda see it it turns like competitions events contests into like a sort of an instant off the shelf stock market and you basically can make predictions of what you think is gonna happen by buying and selling shares of the different contestants right so like we started like the we launched for the march madness basketball tournament you know so all the teams in the tournament it's a different
when you think when you think brackets like that's the first thing you think of like i always that's the first you know
and you know yeah we we we were thinking of like what's a fun new way that we can that we can play with events like march madness which is which is a lot of fun what kind of what kind of new actions behaviors abilities would crypto enable if we rethought something like the march madness bracket which like eighty percent of people have done one at some time at school or at the office absolutely and so yeah we we wanna kinda gamify that in a in a different way we started with these mega sports events which we've kept doing but ever since we kind of jokingly did a bracket not for the nba playoffs or the nhl playoffs or the or march madness but we did one for far con there was a pickleball tournament
right
and ever since we did a bracket where it was like you know just making predictions and buying and selling if you click on far con there
yeah that's where i was going
you can see so we had all the all the teams ever since we did that we we saw how fun it is you know to have people that we know not only making the trades and the predictions but also like being able to be in the arena of the of the game itself so i think you know you had seen you you had kinda been onto this and and gotten to me even before we did the farcon pickleball but that ever since then people are like can we do a bracket for you know we're doing one in in a couple hours for a dominion card game tournament that actually dan dwr is gonna be playing in for the team
up yet i don't see it i don't see it up here yet is it up

it's definitely you definitely see that with these brackets for sure like you can see that in the cast out one that the personalities are definitely you know sort of leading and i think adrian was really good about rallying people and giving them like a group chat if they if they were you know on team adrian so you know there's different approaches and you never wanna fade ted ever she's very competitive yeah
yeah i mean all of the one crypto of the game is like wow she's very

formidable and you know i kinda as you can see with the with the bracket it's like the the base like one of the basic ideas of it is like it's real it's it's actually just it's fun to see you know kind of rankings of stuff and to make comparisons of like oh like you know why i wonder why like so and so is why why is like ted so far out in front of everyone and right like i think you know the stock market is fun but seeing those same prices and like market opinions seeing it applied to things that are just like charged with meaning for your specific group it's just like a lot of fun to see and and play and then if you like click on ted or click on one of the competitors that we like would wanna look into like there's also just like a fun click on adrian or whoever there's a there's a fun like ability to see okay who's the whales for ted right like who's right

yeah or cast their profiles and if you go to activity you can see like who's doing what on this right recently so you can just see kind of recent activity and like during games like you know there's just like major buy and sell activity when the team's about to lose or about to win so it'll be fun to see like as we're doing our announcements and stuff you know if people are are responding to their positions

oh did he yeah oh that's funny yeah so this is i just think it adds an element of interactive fun that we couldn't do in an easy way otherwise like it's you know with crypto solves this right it just makes it easy to let people especially within our particular ecosystem because you are using and it is on base i think like most people have some right within this particular ecosystem most of the time they were given it right they didn't even buy it so it's like this is like your your fun fake internet money that you can play with and it feels like you can you know just have a good time and and be a part and follow along with what's happening and yeah just makes you a part of the team and a part of the fun yeah
for sure i think i think this game too it it can be you know you could hopefully use hopefully we'll be able to use the prices as a way to like kinda check-in to get an overall sense of where the game's going like who's in who's out who's performing well it's just like one place to to try to like capture the the sentiment about that
and i don't know like i haven't really done too much analysis here but it it'll be interesting to see what i'm not seeing which is interesting is i'm not seeing mole get a big bump here yet like people aren't necessarily buying mole mole team members yeah and i would think that would be what you would see next like at the top right now we still have the wow wow even though they lost the challenge but if you look again by owners it's a little different but if you look by prices you're still seeing wow wow and i think that's really being driven a lot by ted nonlinear and jacek so
yeah i think it might be what could be happening is because because the the payouts of the game so there's like over 500,000 d gen in the overall prize pool for this so whoever owns the winning contestant at the end
however whatever percentage of the shares you own you get that much of the prize pool and since the prize pool is going like eighty twenty to first and second place contestants people probably are as long as they don't think that ted or johnny is gonna actually get voted out this time it's possible that it won't affect like you know what people are we're doing and i think also as people get a rhythm of understanding when the announcements are made i think that will create some live action action too
that'll be interesting yeah i wonder if we'll start to see some some uptick i think it'll get really interesting after the next two when we move to more individual like that fourth one should be big when we having i think that should be a lot
of action that should be huge that should be a huge event for sure
yeah that should be really fun so and i forgot i wasn't showing the screen but i wanted to mention this part when i'm looking at the bottom poor little brennan down there but brian it's just as funny i think people expect him to get a little crazy or something and you know we'll see we'll see or or they expect him to get voted off first or something i'm not sure
i think i think they i think they they probably just realized that like brian is so good at like kind of taking like the butt of the joke and just be being able to like dish it out and receive it like i think people are just like people aren't gonna they probably are thinking people aren't gonna feel bad to to vote him off because like they're kinda always giving him shit anyway so like

ivy is my top my top position
ivy is very well versed in the ways of survivor i'll just say that and riley beans has played cast out the game and did pretty well so i think there's some folks at the bottom and it's mostly because they don't they're not as well known but i think brennan's just not as well known within the farcaster ecosystem but he's he's a gay gamer he's you know he makes board games he's pretty competitive

yeah so i i don't know i just wouldn't sleep on him he was the one who actually got a bot running on on the he got the point he got a bot yet but so erica created a bot they both had one running in the evening and hers somehow timed out or something happened at around 2am but his kept going but he took her code and just tweaked it so they both were running running the school bot so great job heavyweight with the bot didn't quite get there but i think if they had got it going sooner they might have they might have been able to pull it closer but just yeah
no that's super interesting because like you can get you can get brennan for like one fifth or one fourth of the price of like liters so it's like yeah

yeah and that would be so it's so you know when you watch survivor they're taping it here and you're not seeing it till months later so everything's ended by then so they're not messing with the gameplay the problem with revealing too much is you might impact the gameplay so like for example some people might want to lie about who they voted for so i'm not going to reveal who voted for whom they can but i'm not gonna do that so i'm gonna i'm gonna keep that quiet but we'll reveal in this case it's i will say how many votes for each person and in this case it's unanimous so there's no you know there's no reveal here no big reveal so we should reveal it though it's time we're at the end of our time we're gonna reveal this anything else about bracket game before i do my reveal and then we'll we'll wrap

so if you watch survivor hidden immunity they always hide these little idols and they're usually like these little beaded idols and they hide them on the island and they may or may not give you a clue as to where it is most of the time they don't give a clue it's just kind of hidden somewhere and if you have that and you're voted if somebody tries to vote for you and in a tribal council they it doesn't count so if the if for example the person i'm about to announce had a hidden immunity idol i would be like if they had said i have a hidden immunity idol then i would say none of these votes count none of these votes count we need to revote
actually even if you're in the final two
no it'll will end at a certain time you can usually only send up to the final five or so and i will announce that at some point

once it's whenever it's done you can sell out so that you can recoup like if you bought in early and sell right away you could even make a profit even though the right gets a little

i would say i mean i'd take a look at some of those ones that are towards the bottom i really would because i think there's a few undervalued players in there i really do and i think it's because they're not known but you'll see so i'll tell you again just this is the background a little bit from the group chat little alpha from the group chat the wow wow chat i would say the most active people in that chat were brennan and erica and those are the two that were creating bots and trying to keep it going i had a feeling that there might be other chats happening don't know if there are but i was like there's possibility that they created a whole other group chat that i'm not even in which would be you know this is what she can see and this is what you know is happening in the background very possible would be wouldn't be a bad idea so i don't know if that's what's going on the mole chat was incredibly active and almost everybody was super active in it so it was a very different dynamic so in that tribe i don't i see a couple people who were kinda helping to coordinate things like todi and adrianne but everyone was in there working so wow that's the big difference i think yeah

that was such a that was such like a ruthless first competition like twenty four hours of yoinking
twenty four hours of yoinking they did great and this is the this was the only one that's really time consuming like that everything else is gonna be much more manageable so a little trial by fire but the ones who survived it's gonna be a little a little a little less time consuming from this point forward so they will i'm gonna drop into the chats soon and drop your instructions for this next challenge you will have a lot of time to coordinate and pull something really cool together and then everybody else will be able to to decide really which team wins because it's going to be your likes that determine it so that'll be the the farcaster piece of this so wherever it may land and i will recast the two memes depending on what channel they they put them in i will recast them in the cast out channel as well so you'll be able to find them there so that's it so there's gonna be plenty
