The fundamental challenge with building decentralized products Hide is really useful, but doesn't work if you are building a decentralized version of channels.
Observations about channel changes a few days in - People seem to be happy with Main feeds - People don't like Recent since it's unfiltered and spammy - Can't use hide since it doesn't scale in decentralized protocol - If you filter recent, people complain of "shadow banning"

Opportunities for developers building on channels
Will repeat a dozen more times. 1. Hide / Ban is deprecated 2. Main feed is either unmoderated (and then Warpcast shows Priority mode) or moderated — and then you have 100% control of what appears in the feed based on the moderator's likes 3. Recent is an unfiltered protocol view. We may adjust this feed soon.

"Can I create a team of curators with automod?" Yes. You can give anyone with a fid the ability to curate posts into Main. Add them as a Moderator in /automod and have them install the cast action below. Next week, you'll have the option to make it automatic from likes. https://automod.sh/install/like
at farcon dwr said something like "any subreddit w/ >20m people should be a $10m annual recurring revenue business" but that'll never happen why? because its against reddits interests, so they wont let it. all value will accrue to them, and only them not so w/ fc. powerful channels tools are here, the time is now

Why did you get rid of hide and ban? How can I "clean up" the recent feed on my channel?
How do I turn on moderation for my channel? 1. Web only to start 2. Edit channel / Pencil button 3. Configure moderation 4. Choose your moderator Note: when you turn on moderation, the channel will appear as a single feed with no filtering for a few minutes while we generate the new main feed.
