Here’s some talk about running /gmfarcaster as a business: I am obsessed with the intersection of kk’s 1000 true fans concept with the power of web3 and blockchains for being able to build a media business by connecting directly with an audience/supporters. But I also believe in the traditional corporate sponsorship model for making entertainment free and accessible to everyone. Prof and I have talked at length about our desire to only work with brands that are values-aligned and that we would be proud to represent. about to ship some improvements to the spam model that will make a lot of the bots go away. will be a constant cat and mouse game, but we will win in the long run.

In just four days of talking story on Farcaster, I learned about more casters with connections to Hawaii like @bay-photography's dad in Hilo or @jonathancolton and a famous local food blogger, who is an old friend of mine. I found out that @reneecampbell and @sleepypenguin.eth are both the baby in their big families, like me and share the forever young gene that comes with that experience. 😂 I learned the personal stories of @fredha.eth, walked the journey of native populations with @chicbangs.eth and @lostfleurs. So many stories around Korean children, parents, hapa (mixed ancestry) kids, which was surprising and fun with @manuwilliams, @ihawaii.eth, @jessi. BUT maybe the most mind blowing was @danicaswanson who turns out to be the sister of a very good friend of mine. Also, we met! Decades ago when we were growing up. So many more examples of shared experiences by just talking to each other and sharing our stories. Looking forward to more. Thank you everyone for joining in the conversation.
