On Quote Casts Quote Casts create value. New commentary & context while retaining provenance. “QCs fracture conversations” is pessimistic assessment. Recast and reply. Quote tweets fracture the conversation. Further emphasizes broadcast vs. conversation. At its worst, it’s a dunk button. Will eventually add it, but features change behavior. :)

reactions when i tell people i have internet friends (hi @nonlinear.eth) range from scoff to laughter. truth is: my farcaster friendships grew from trust built over hundreds of interactions in a place where freedom of expression and thought is encouraged, where online and offline selves can (and should) be continuous.
