okay so griff is an app where you can post different activities and it's using ai to analyze the image but there are some new ones new improvements coming because right now like if you if you're posting like i took a walk on the beach and you post a picture of the beach it's like oh beach picture or like beach fair plus one point it doesn't recognize like activity so there's some improvements coming but it's a it's a pretty cool app you should i'll go give it a run i think you still it's still invitation only but and then it posts directly into this channel when you share it so it's pretty cool pretty cool so it's fun and igor has been posting a lot on that so more to come on that we'll see some improvements soon i'm sure this from our friend brad q giving us the whole summary this is pretty much the whole show right here in one cast twenty nine seconds of farcaster what did you miss this weekend it was a betterment and tip in weekend with week one of the better allocation winding down contest one of one art bids and other creative ways to tip there are 30 plus great intro intros of f sears with my get to know me better giveaway and i'll share that a little bit later great to read people's stories colin announced a new paragraph feature remixing that allows you to take someone's post and remix it with your response or thoughts as your own post i didn't even see this one this can expose you and the original author to each other's audience or help reluctant writers with a prompt to get started shintan gave some helpful reflections on five weeks of tva including 20% of people make money their first week and that social onboarding and simplicity produce results and we'll dive more into that livecaster continues to drive engagement in events this week ufc and soccer bracket has been brought into the live cast for full shout out say angel and tldr for building up this fun way to engage and earn and i forgot to grab that cast as well but tldr was calling out that this was a permission permissionless collab which we love to see so say angel incorporated brackey without like working directly with the team which was pretty cool and in case you're unfamiliar with livecaster what that is is you're watching whatever the super bowl and you're chatting with people within this app about what you're watching so other farcaster folks in the mini app this week in mini apps featured betterment and scratch mini apps i did watch that that was fun and then gm farcaster which is us so and that's what you're watching right now lots of fun things going on so many things but we also have a few notes from the team new hide balances on mobile tap your total balance to hide your balance everywhere in the wallet great for when you want to show your wallet in public without disclosing what you're holding or there were some other suggestions around this like so you don't have to see your l's this was from yeah dumbly come on load for me but it was a good suggestion when you don't wanna see your l's this is another option as well yes hiding your warplit so this is the farcaster wallet or warplit as we still some of us are are prone to saying so from dummy hiding my warplit balance so i don't have to see my l's great option and then this one was really funny from varun come on don't be like this to me today this is funny from varun

come on hide your balances but for cast it was it's what it's going to say if it ever comes up here so priyanka said guys my sisters they're both not in crypto or posting on socials wanna join farcaster but they've never seen this side of me you all have gotten front row seat for the last point one point five years what do i do and they said hide balances but for all your guests so that's not a problem

that's why that's why oh i loved that so this is very and what it and i was like where is this i i was like thinking it was a setting but you literally just tap on the balance and it will change it to the little asterisks so that's all you do very simple and nice nice new little feature

yeah i haven't i don't know if i i guess i can understand hiding the balances for sure like you're showing your wallet to somebody or you're doing a screenshot of something i think that's the only time i felt like i wish i had that option i really haven't i was like i don't know about this use case but yeah i get it i totally get it there's some there's some situations this from vee as well swaps now succeed in 96.8% of the time in addition to completing in two point five seconds some of these are due to intentional slippage settings which prevent a trade from going through if the prices move too much all other issues we're going to keep fixing big shout out to sloke for improving the reliability of the swaps sloke has been heads down like very focused on the warplet and swaps in particular and is crushing it so thanks sloke just doing a lot of work on the warplet right now and it's it's going well so thank you sloke and then the average time to swap is two point five seconds very exciting and then this from mangorone ones i don't know i mang we're gonna call mang the new farmaster wallet interface when opening a token asset feels more professional neat and user friendly all important information is clearly displayed action buttons are easily accessible and integration with external platforms makes the user experience more convenient so they made some improvements to that token page when you click on the token and so you're seeing some additional information and it is looking pretty pretty clean any thoughts on that like how you how are you are you using your farcaster wallet more or are you still using your external wallet more

the beta of the beta yeah early this is the second part of the beta since then we've thoughtfully onboarded over 30,000 people here's what we've learned so far key learnings clear entry points for earning are critical when people understand how rewards work they engage more absolutely social onboarding is better than wallet funding more jargon can be killed slippage market cap etc simple focused delightful mini apps beat complex ones i'm going to stop there for a second on the how rewards work i agree yes you need more transparency because i literally have no idea what they're doing in terms of like i don't know how those are being figured out over there besides just post post more but one of the things that i know the farcaster team has said is they don't want to reveal too much about how everything's figured out because then people game it so it's like a balance there of transparency plus making sure it doesn't get you know exploited but it's it's not not as easy i like the idea of social onboarding versus wallet funding like you're just funding your wallet no you're actually just onboarding to a social app that has a wallet so interesting continuing on behaviors we're seeing over 20% of people earn in week one just by making content posting instant money feels magical to people used to traditional social friend clusters through chat and invites lead to more engagement ai agents and group chats unlock multi multiplayer magic totally agree with that social discovery is alpha people want coins from friends or creators they know and alpha signals top holders volume spikes drive buys continued what we're fixing next improving trading alpha accuracy and speed enabling our most engaged users to invite their friends creating social token discovery mechanics providing clear explanations of how creator earnings work simplifying choice paralysis through the app and squashing bugs base app is growing fast and we're learning faster what's the number one thing you change or add tell us below so what is the number one thing you would change or add adrianne or are those in the chat what do you think like what do you what's not feeling good to you i like i do love the agents i think that is great i miss channels on there like i go to tag channels like and that's just a it's gonna be a farcaster og problem not a

i'm having some issues too with the the new casting flow on farcaster which i don't like when it fails okay

it fails this has happened to me a couple times so if you're uploading like a video photo or something like that so say you're on low bandwidth or something like that so this happened to me this morning i was in my car i'm uploading it failed i'm like okay forget it i'll do this again when i get to wi fi it's safe to start over very frustrating

it did this time it saved everything but the images but i didn't think it i wasn't sure it was going to i don't think it did the first time that that happened to me so i'd rather like and and so and the reason i'm mentioning this because base does something similar where it does the image and video uploads after you create the cast or the post so it is definitely a different flow i'm just it could just be a bug that's i don't know you know i don't know how that gets figured out but i didn't mind the previous screen i kinda liked it and also i've had a couple typos and i know we talked about typos proof of humanity but i'm i'm not down with the typos i want a chance to exit

say yeah that's what we're trying to say if people are building real things on farcaster we've talked about them period like whether there's a token or not this from linda some thoughts advice on mini app and general safety in case helpful one we have automatic transaction scanning within mini apps that prevents dangerous send me all your money attacks two be skeptical when approving significantly more balance than necessary for a transaction in other words you're approving everything in your wallet for that token especially if asking for all you can always use the small frame mini app made by horse facts for revoking contract approvals three check the creator of the mini app if something feels off it's completely okay to be skeptical and double check things even if you know the user individual accounts can get compromised or the username could be a slight edit of it to look similar we've seen that a million times on twitter common attacks that extend to outside of farcaster and outside of crypto feel free to send me this is linda not me linda feel free to send linda malicious imposter accounts on farcaster that should be nerfed there's been an uptick in some of these issues as of late and so just be careful out there and i think anytime we get more attention this happens so you see a lot of people doing you know we have some people who are actually trying to do you know stuff with mini apps like we saw the balloon one but there's also just some slop happening with yeah or people taking your your casts that happened this past week where i saw multiple of people just copying your cast that make no sense in outside of you and that and they're doing it with other people too and that's how they're populating their feed and it's like yeah no don't do that

fort casper i think so too i i think we just you just have to be vigilant and we there are some people who are i think it's kel 66 i think that's what the name who's been sort of the the you know zach xpt forecaster of late kind of keeping an eye on things and he's he's kind of calling attention to things that he feels are off so take a look you know that might be a good one to follow i he's calling something out right now and i just i where i don't have confirmation i didn't want to show it but go take a look at his casts and you know dyor so i think you have to be like super super careful out there just double check things sometimes things feel if something feels off it might be off and the other thing is the big problem back in like 2021 is people rushing to do things because they were afraid of it was the fomo right i'm gonna miss out if i don't get this thing immediately and not and we'd have this thing icytools i don't know if you remember icytools some of you might remember this if you're back in the trenches then doing the nft stuff it would pop up and say this thing is trending and you sometimes ape into that and that would get a lot of people in trouble so if you didn't know to you know do your double checks and all those things so but it there's that kind of and the same thing can happen with the trending feed in farcaster where you go oh wait what's this what's trending do i need to get into this right now sometimes the things that are trending have been around for a while so don't get too crazy about the trending feed it's interesting it's good to know but it's also a trending token feed different from trending feed that doesn't exist anymore but trending token feed is great is usual is one piece of information it shouldn't be your only information i guess is my point like don't don't get too excited just because it's trending i've seen tokens that have been around for you know dgen can trend just because you know it's having a good moment so even though it's been around for a while doge can trend you know anything can trend so don't get too too crazy about it so be careful out there people careful out here on these streets and the small app is useful as well so you've got the revoke thing all those things so use that if you need it this so this was from you you were having some issues with or you were trying to do some stuff there do you want to explain this i'm gonna let me read the top part first and then you can explain what's going on here lesson lesson learned to take the paved road we'll happily go back to the unpaved road of many apps but for building admin tools that have no farcaster requirement and no need for distribution using nextauth and google libraries made this so much easier so what were you trying to do and what did you end up doing
