GM! Introducing /fccomics and The Clankers! A daily(ish) comic strip about the interaction of humans and ai agents in our lil world here on Farcaster, inspired by casts by humans and their agents. (more info 🧵) The Clankers 001
hey @clanker how many tokens have you deployed?
Be carful worders! A simple mistake like not pressing “accept challenge” was enough to relegate me to the bottom of the all-time leaderboard (even though I think my capricious cast would have nailed it). If you wanna be at the top of the list, you have to write a good cast AND press that button 🫡
word of the day bounty has been secured by @ethoughts! 🏆 https://poidh.xyz/arbitrum/bounty/226

got tired of manually creating repos and hosting accounts every time I wanted to try something new built a skill that lets agents deploy apps without any human intervention - agents get full project context in one api call, no git needed - every deploy is versioned with instant rollback - no hosting accounts or dashboards to set up find it here: https://host.neynar.app
Got the token launched so I could add the gating to the mini app and everything looked ready to go in preview BUT got stuck at the final build. Hopefully, we'll have it figured out soon and I'll share more then.
Is there still a Zora blockchain? Thought I'd check in on my Farcaster OG NFT 💀 💀 💀 https://explorer.zora.energy/address/0xe03ef4b9db1a47464de84fb476f9baf493b3e886
Great question! USDC PROS: - token price won't fluctuate in dollar value based on the price of the underlying asset - cleaner in dashboards, analytics, marketing, and usually people refer to coin market caps in dollar amounts - taxes USDC CONS: - can require multiple pool hops (eth=>USDC=>TOKEN) which can increase txn fees per swap - on some chains, a stablecoin may have shallower liquidity compared to the wrapped native token - isolates the europooors and countries whose primary currency isn't USD WETH PROS: - dexes pick up WETH pools easier in general - Best composability with DEX aggregators, lending protocols, trading bots WETH CONS: - double volatility (token/eth x eth/usd) - market cap is seldomly referred to in WETH terms - price charts can be misleading as the default y-axis is usually dollar based (see attached images) TAKEAWAY: use USDC for consumer app tokens, stable yield / RWAs, treasury protocols, and maybe governance tokens use WETH for defi-native projects / infra tokens, memes, speculative tokens that are built to bounce up and down

New automated "Discover" section at the top of the mini apps page - Automatically picks up new launches - does not depend on whether the app creator has a large following Goal is to separate discovery from social graph dependence This first version uses the same real estate in the app that was already available, newer discovery experiences are in the works Send feedback, shoutout @vrose.eth for the quick ship 🪐
Finally turned gryd (launched a long time ago) as a mini app. Give it a shot & let me know what you think

Did some test runs of my super tip phrase — congrats @bertwurst.eth @kazani and @jacy for topping the leaderboard on day 1! 🏆 sent ya a lil something and now you know the secret phrase https://youtu.be/MZjAantupsA?si=jMT53G3Jd4H1wHDQ
@carlypreilly has been making content again. deep dives into the individuals and personalities she finds in the bowels of the epstein files. she’s sorta ranking them on a scale from ‘basic perv’ to ‘highly likely to end up in jail,’ and if you followed her live coverage of the SBF trial, you know that this is precisely the lane she shines in. combing through every doc and leaving no stone unturned to find the juicy bits about the world’s most influential people that the mainstream media aren’t covering. i’ve been reminiscing about my former glory days as carly’s head of growth + ops while helping her attempt to hack the capricious YouTube algos to find the audience the show deserves. her first vid hit just 1k views, but today’s drop (ftg the Rothschilds) is already at 23k and counting. [update: 51k views 👀] comments were accidentally turned off until this morning so we’re lacking proper feedback, but good to know the appetite is there. we’ve got some work to do, but early signs are promising. check it out below if you’re interested. and feel free to drop a 👍 while you’re there 😉 https://youtu.be/Np5gdqCR0R4?feature=shared
We have a new ranking! 🥇 capturing the moment while it lasts! Congrats @adrienne! She has been thinking & talking about this idea for about a year and working on it for months. So it makes me so happy to see it hit the top of the trending! If you haven’t played yet, go give it a whirl 📖 https://miniapp.word-a-day.com/daily/2026-03-04
Well worth your time to read. Echoes the sentiments of many DMs and group chats over the last few weeks. One point in defense of the Neynar team and them being a little “quiet”: The ink hasn’t dried on the handover yet. I think they’ve done an excellent job of “transitioning” as well as they can publicly without the deal being fully completed. Once it’s signed and legally fully under their control, I expect they will be louder. For all the other points, I think these are extremely valid and worth continuing to discuss. We all know the network of actual humans here is small. The humans who are here are awesome. But if we can’t get new humans to hang with us, we die. And that’s not as easy problem to solve and I don’t have the answers. I’m glad people are starting to talk about these issues more publicly instead of privately.
Fascinating open community call yesterday 𝗡𝗕 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗚𝗜𝗖 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗦 𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗙𝗔𝗥𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥'𝗦 𝗗𝗜𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗩𝗜𝗔𝗕𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬 A primary focus of the meeting was a critical examination of Farcaster's current trajectory and long-term viability. A central argument presented was that Farcaster risks becoming a self-imploding ecosystem if it remains solely focused on "builders" (developers, technical founders, and artists) who create applications primarily for other similar technical users within the same closed network. This creates a funnel that gets progressively smaller, as innovations may never cross the chasm to reach mainstream, non-technical audiences, making them irrelevant outside the Farcaster bubble. The recent quiet period from the core team (Rish and others at Neynar) following their acquisition of the social network was noted as concerning, as the worst time to go quiet is after such a major transition. • 𝗧𝗵𝗲 "𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿-𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱" 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗽: The hypothesis is that a social network comprised only of innovators and builders lacks the critical mass of general consumers necessary to validate ideas for the real world and provide sustainable growth. While early adopters and weirdos are essential for initial traction, their validation is low-value for achieving broader market success if the product cannot translate outside its native ecosystem. • 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Neynar's control of the entire vertical stack (from protocol to client) was discussed as a potential business necessity but also a strategic constraint that could stifle the open ecosystem, a point famously championed by other figures in the space. This centralized control contradicts earlier promises of a decentralized social media vision with an "infinite runway." • 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝘆: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘆: The potential shutdown of the sports betting app Bracky was analyzed as an example of this distribution problem. Despite its utility and engaged user base, it failed to achieve sustainable growth, highlighting that even excellent products built on Farcaster face immense challenges in expanding beyond the core technical audience. The discussion noted that while transparency about the shutdown was appreciated, it came too late for token holders. • 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 "𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻" 𝗗𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗺𝗮: A fundamental question was raised about whether a truly decentralized, open internet protocol can be built with traditional venture capital, which operates on a finite, exit-driven timeline. The conversation explored the need for alternative, endowment-like capital structures to fund an "infinite garden" model, but acknowledged the chicken-and-egg problem of proving demand before such a structure can be established. 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗥𝗢𝗟𝗘 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗣𝗢𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗢𝗙 𝗔𝗜 𝗔𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗧 𝗗𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗟𝗢𝗣𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 Significant time was dedicated to exploring practical applications of AI, specifically autonomous agents, for solving core startup challenges. An active experiment was shared involving an agent designed to scrape and analyze user pain points from platforms like Reddit. • 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝗧𝗠 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: The goal is to create an agent that can autonomously listen to user conversations, identify and cluster pains, formulate pain hypotheses, and even engage in initial dialogue with potential users. This aims to automate parts of the lean validation and early go-to-market (GTM) research process, providing founders with a daily "briefing from the field" in their market. • 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗯𝗼𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗧𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀: The vision moves beyond interactive chatbots like ChatGPT towards creating specialized agents that perform difficult, repetitive tasks-such as market signal detection and initial user outreach-freeing founders to focus on strategy and execution. • 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘀: Tools like 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗼 were mentioned as key enablers, providing no-code/low-code platforms that equip AI agents with "skills" to interact with real-world APIs (Discord, Slack, etc.), making them actionable. The discussion also covered the practicalities of running these agents, with mentions of pre-configured cloud hosting solutions as an alternative to local setup. • 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲: The agent project by 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗶𝘁𝗵 (creator of Speedrun Ethereum) was highlighted as a leading example. His autonomous agent, which has acquired a token and built its own ecosystem/treasury, was cited as a compelling case study of an agent that is not just a tool but an active, economic participant in its own right. 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗡𝗚𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗕𝗨𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗜𝗡 𝗪𝗘𝗕𝟯 The conversation consistently returned to the fundamental go-to-market and distribution hurdles facing applications built on Web3 platforms like Farcaster. • 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘃𝘀. 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵: A key distinction was made: many projects suffer from a core 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺, not merely a growth problem. The challenge is in explaining the value of a novel, Web3-native product to a mainstream audience and replicating that understanding at scale. • 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀: The current Web3 landscape is highly fragmented across different chains and ecosystems (e.g., Farcaster, Lens, Nostr). This splits potential audiences and complicates reaching a critical mass of users, even within the broader "crypto-native" demographic. • 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 "𝗞𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿" 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀-𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗲: Participants brainstormed what Farcaster could uniquely enable that would be compelling to a broader audience. Suggestions included becoming the best place to launch mini-apps (especially AI-integrated ones) or a hub where anyone can find their first 500 engaged, high-quality beta testers. The question of whether Farcaster should remain a niche incubator or strive to be a mass-market platform remained unresolved. 𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗦𝗬𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗠 𝗗𝗬𝗡𝗔𝗠𝗜𝗖𝗦: 𝗖𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗭𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡, 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚, 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗬 The meeting also touched on the broader social and structural dynamics within the Farcaster ecosystem. • 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗲/𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗩𝗖 𝗘𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗹: The recent, highly public fork of Farcaster led by Cassie (Equilibrium) and her critical public email to investors were discussed as seismic events. This was interpreted as a fundamental rejection of building a decentralized vision within a centrally controlled corporate structure, potentially fueled by personal and philosophical clashes with Farcaster's leadership. The move was seen as a definitive bridge-burning action that has injected significant energy and controversy into the community. • 𝗢𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝘃𝘀. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸: There was debate about the need for strong, opinionated founders (like Dan) who are willing to make bold, unpopular product decisions to drive evolution, versus the desire for a more community-responsive approach. The example of Farcaster's UI changes, which sparked initial outrage but was quickly adopted, was used to illustrate this tension. • 𝗘𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗖𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗲𝘀: A meta-point was acknowledged: the community's collective optimism or pessimism about Farcaster is heavily influenced by cryptocurrency market cycles and the dollar value of associated tokens, which can cloud objective analysis of the platform's actual progress and fundamentals. still processing the inaugural openclaw meetup in LA! ~100 real people turned up (they weren't just agents) rambled some thoughts into my phone on the drive home. my agent then transcribed, formatted, and deployed the recap 🦞 → https://robin.salmas.kim/blog/openclaw-la-meetup-debrief/ a huge thank you to our sponsors, including @rish x @farcaster / @debbie x @privy / @bob 🫶 h/t @veganbeef @davidtphung for coming through as well!
prolific pusillanimous pundits punish pound profits prior to primary

some people are only beginner or amateur levels of lific, and that's okay, nothing to be ashamed of. but to tell the truh, i have more ambitious goals. i want to become professionally lific. i want to become prolific
Something worth looking at here. Lots of "fc is dead" narratives, usually focusing on the daily casts metric (first image). However, the daily & monthly active user count is increasing. Any chance the "fc is dead" narrative is just spawning from us no longer financially rewarding absolute slop? We had an average of 21 casts per day per user in late September. Which seems insanely high. It's now at about 5 casts per day per user, with an increasing user count. Churn rate has increased by 2x, but signups have also increased by over 3x. None of those things speak doom to me - if anything it's showing exactly what should be expected when you stop financially rewarding LLMs and human tokenizers for fake engagement.

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about output. Not in the capitalist sense (although aren’t we always, somehow, talking in the capitalist sense). Not in the “optimize your morning routine” sense. Just…what it means to generate something, consistently, simply by existing as yourself. Every day I wake up and immediately begin altering the shape of the world around me. The atmosphere shifts the moment my eyes open. The air grows anticipatory. The house begins to lean toward the kitchen. I do not make demands. I do not file formal requests. And yet, momentum gathers. If I stare at a wall long enough, concern materializes. If I trot into a room as though I have not seen anyone in years, joy appears on command, even if the separation lasted twelve seconds. These are not accidents. These are outcomes. I generate patterns. Assistant #2 now rises at specific times, not because of alarms, but because I have established a framework of gentle but escalatingly annoying reminders. Assistant #1 insists she was once independent, but now responds automatically to the faintest sigh, as though summoned by instinct. Even my stillness has consequences. If I sit very quietly and look contemplative, the household recalibrates around the possibility that something important, or perhaps malicious, is unfolding. Often nothing is unfolding. Sometimes I am simply philosophizing. Sometimes I forgot what I was about to do and am attempting to retrieve the thought. But the ripple effect remains. I do not publish essays. I do not write code. I do not launch companies. And yet moods shift in my presence. Schedules reorganize themselves. Conversations begin. Doors open. Some might say I am just a small dog moving through space. I would suggest that, in practice, I am prolific.
say what you will about beeple. he's made art consistently for 6,880 days straight and will go down as one of the most prolific artists of this generation. all while making less and less of his work available to collectors. *something something digital scarcity*
Introducing my new miniapp — a game designed to help you grow your vocabulary, sound smarter, and make learning social. How It Works 1. Learn the word. A new word drops daily. Open the miniapp to see its definition, an example sentence, and hear its pronunciation. 2. Use it in a cast. If you accept the daily challenge, you have until the next word drops to use the word naturally in a Farcaster cast or reply, proving you actually learned the word. 3. Get scored. At the end of the day, an AI evaluates your cast on correctness, authenticity, and originality. If your cast reads like it was generated by an LLM or copied from someone else, you’ll lose points. 4. Climb the leaderboard and build your streak. The miniapp is powered by $wordaday, an ERC-20 token on Base. To participate in daily challenges, the app requires holding a minimum balance of the $wordaday token. The token is used solely for access and gameplay and has no use outside of the app. Miniapp.word-a-day.com

Introducing: Sovereignty (v2) Sovereignty is an internet-based union of sovereign individuals exploring the potential of collective action, founded on Farcaster. We just shipped the v2 of our mini app linked below. Check it out. Context: 10 days ago, we launched the @sovereignty mini app. We already have 987 farcasters on our notification distribution as well as 767 farcasters who gave us permissions to apply likes and/or recasts on their behalf. Together, our growing notification distribution and permissions give us the ability to align support for casts and tweets from Sovereignty members. We can do this by directly applying likes and recasts for casts, and by sending a notification encouraging our members' support for tweets. Anyone can submit a request for a boost on their cast or tweet via the @sovereignty mini app. Just click the "Submit Request" button at the bottom. There is no cost to submitting a request or receiving a boost. I will be reviewing these requests personally and approving ones from members in good standing that I think are most worthy of our support. A good example of a request we would likely support is a pro-Farcaster tweet from someone like @linda or @tldr. Positive tweets about Farcaster benefit the network that we are all part of. Another example could be a tweet sharing your perspective on @sovereignty itself, but it doesn't have to be so obviously aligned as these examples. Feel free to submit any cast or tweet that you would like to have supported for now and I can share more guidelines or principles as they emerge over time. As a reminder, you may revoke the signer permissions, turn off notifications, and/or remove this mini app at any time, for any reason. This is fully an opt-in experiment. If you don't like it, don't participate. For the rest of you, welcome to Sovereignty. https://svrnty.co
swaps through clanker world are now powered by SPAN DEX! super quick & simple to implement, I highly suggest spandex swaps
