I think many of us are starting to realize that we may have been looking at Farcaster the wrong way all along. Maybe it doesn’t need to go mainstream to be valuable. Maybe it was searching for PMF in the wrong market when it already had something even better. Farcaster is already: • A high-quality builder incubator for the broader crypto ecosystem. • A real launchpad for building directly on crypto rails, getting early users, testing ideas, and creating real impact. • A venture studio where you can meet collaborators, experiment with bold ideas, and start building quickly. • A proving ground for founders before raising capital. Don’t let the current conditions scare you away. Investors want to see working products, real users, and early signals of traction. Farcaster provides the perfect environment to build that first momentum. With the shifting ecosystem dynamics, and products sunsetting, things can feel a bit gloomy. But I love seeing how many builders are not giving up, and the message I shared earlier resonated with so many people. A few thoughts: - i would love to see more experiments with minting in the feed. just how we turned token launchers into @ launch a token. we need @ mint ____. - get away from "mint" and move towards "collect". - the collect experience itself is as much part of the art as the final asset you receive. make it fun. - while the possibilities are infinite with AI you still need collections to feel cohesive - there's so much room to push generative art beyond just a random seed. take the user's social history, their onchain transactions, etc. to influence the art. art can be personal. i.e. people love your trippy PFPs and they love you when it make it *theirs*

what do we need for a new NFT season to happen? there's a huge opportunity to make minting experiences feel less transactional, and more unique and intentional. now more than ever before, so what's stopping it?

it's a bitter sweet moment for us. After almost 4.5 years we’re winding down the current chapter of what we’ve been building. Along the way we built SealCred, SealCast, Ketl, Lunchbreak, Eggs, Battle, and Pigeon. Every experiment we shipped was something we genuinely believed people would love. Turns out having a great idea, a great team, and strong execution isn’t always enough. Timing, markets, and luck play their roles too. Over the years we pushed into the bleeding edges of cryptography, ZK, decentralized social, and AI. I’m incredibly proud of what this team built and what we learned along the way. When we started Pigeon in July 2025 we shrunk our release loop down to about a week. The first version went from idea to production in just two weeks. Since then we kept pushing that pace. For users: the product will remain operational for the next 30 days, and we’ll provide a 90-day window to export private keys and wind down activity. As for what’s next — I’ll likely spend the summer exploring and researching what comes next.
