in rome okay and we're back it's very exciting but our we were just saying our our our brains and our and our selves may still be in rome but we are back we had an amazing trip to farcon rome we have lots to chat about with that towards the end of the show we've got things to catch up on because we missed a lot there's probably a bunch of stuff we totally didn't even curate we missed so many things
it's possible
it's possible we missed
it a lot better not not everyone was in rome
apparently was in rome but let people know you're watching give us a retweet on twitter give us a recast on farcaster let people know you are joining us this morning as we get caught up and get back into the swing of things i'm literally like what do i do next oh yeah i know i was like there's something i need to do right now and i can't remember what it is it's gonna take us a minute to get back into our into our vibe but i i found it gotta gotta do this little cute little intro that we have and then we will be back
yeah because our producer took two weeks off too
our producer took off everyone's just i'm out of it but we're gonna be back on the other side of this sixty seven seconds and we'll see you in just a minute

gm farcaster it is monday may 11 and you are here with naunish prop and adrienne for twenty nine minutes ish let's just not even farcaster news it's our your day forecaster and clinker news we got a little bit clinker news too
yeah alright you wanna you ready to dive in i yeah i'm so out of practice i'm so out of practice alright let's jump into it we got things to talk about thank you brad for keeping us up to date from brad q twenty nine seconds of farcaster what did you miss this weekend not much but it's safe to say that the energy on the feed is noticeably better since farcon cool you have two opportunities today to hear more about farcon and its impact on builders in the fc feed one here with us this morning we'll be chatting about our our takes and our our fun that we had and then two sofa weekly call dedicated to a farcon deep dive with farcon leader limone and farcon attendees chris co created in victora taro and others who will show up twelve noon eastern probably last two hours so you can jump right from here over there zip on back and catch the recording for the rest of our show whatever you wanna do we we're we're cool with it we love our friends over there who are going to be hanging on the sofa and then the only other note from this weekend is that two other projects have brought energy to the timeline our fotocaster from erickson jonathan colton and uci tipping which you've probably seen from nikolai check them out if you haven't and we are going to talk about both of those things in our builder section and also i have to say nikolai like dude can ship he is shipping like crazy so go check out just go to make sure you're following him because he's had there was like so many things that i didn't even realize he had done in the past that i was like oh i know you i use that all the time i didn't know that was you so pretty amazing also right before we left i think it was there was a or no the day we left community call with aka devcall used to be called devcall we now call it a community call so this was from the farcaster intern thanks to all who joined the community call yesterday notes from the call are attached and we'll have the recording up on youtube sometime today this was ten days ago so i'm assuming it's there some highlights snapchained signers on mainnet next week snaps in the cast composer coming soon out now i assume that's to everybody i think it's out to everybody now expanding expanding the validator node set with a focus on geographic diversity reach out if you're interested were you able to go to this call i think this is when i was yeah i was traveling that day so that's why i wasn't able to
i did and i please don't ask me to for my for my yeah questions on how the call went it was two weeks ago what
like you don't remember
you don't remember i don't remember but i do if you're building on forecaster i encourage people to join and listen in and
i'm not sure when the next one is i think i'm assuming end of this month are we doing
it one month i think yeah they're monthly but there's a public google calendar so you know
gotcha go check it out
you can find them but i just i do appreciate the commitment to transparency and continuing to do the calls on a regular basis and there are always opportunities for discussion and questions so
so jump in if you got questions you got discussion jump in
it was great it was great ralph i remember
she remembers it distinctly yeah i was in the middle of i think i was waiting for my passport at that point so this from
it was wednesday afternoon
it was wednesday
i think you were i think you had passport safely in hand
no not yet not at this point i think it was after no it was oh yeah yeah okay i thought it was noon so i thought it was noon pacific i think
it was three days straight
yeah i finally did have it by then this from manon related this week we're testing moving one of our test net nodes to a different continent next week we'll move one of our farcaster mainnet validators over to another continent that should help pave the way to onboard someone else to run a validator from a different geo so these are all in progress i don't know if this has been
sufficiently decentralized you might say across across various continents yeah
and the geography thing is an interesting when it comes to decentralization because you can have you know you can have more nodes but if they're centralized into one geographic location you get susceptible to like when government comes down and says hey we're gonna put you in jail if you don't take this down it'll be right so it's not as robust as fully decentralized across various weatherproof
i would also think for simple things like weather or like you know what i mean like just different power issues that may or may happen in one area versus another like if you're you know all synced into one geographic area that there could be issues around you know just as simple as that you know regardless of just electric
electricity and data center
electricity just kinda you know going down so i i would think that it's yeah this is a good direction to be going in so that's great then we have this from rish fips for live activity on the protocol could be audio spaces live streams or something else in the future goal is to have cross client and mini app support good weekend read going into farcon feedback is appreciated have you had a chance to look at this yet at all or hear about this
i briefly high level scanned it didn't get into like the details of the implementation
because it kinda got into the weeds that i wasn't too familiar with but yeah i mean the idea is to be able to on the protocol level indicate who's live so that various clients can do something with that information so for people who are one we're we're live streaming right now so does the client know it no but if there was a way to tell the client we're live and then for people to be joining
right
so you think about like as the audience so i mean we've seen this in twitter but
right
the when when there's spaces it helps with distribution indicate let let people know when they're live
but it's all exactly why we have more viewers for the live stream on twitter is because you can see you get the notification if you know if you log in you're gonna get a notification that i'm live or that gm barcasters live you can see people who are joining over there so yeah i definitely
it's just some kind of indicator which would be fantastic
but it's an interesting engineering problem to solve because it's not just a status it's not a one time status it needs to be continuous right so how do you keep that kind of heartbeat alive without making it too heavy to implement
so right right
do you remember kristen's hack for doing this
wasn't it just wait didn't she just change the pfp yeah
yeah so she would take her pfp early early on because we there'd be a bunch of live streamers on farcaster she would take her pfp and had a different version of it with a red border on it and she would change her pfp so anyone who saw her while she was live would know she was live and then she would change it back afterwards so these were like the hoops that creators had to go through without having
we should probably do the same but that's just like one more thing that i it might push me over the edge to have one more prep
i will never do that i will i will never do that but by the way this is also a good example of something that's like easy if you're a centralized like if you're if you have native streaming
mhmm yeah
it's easy to implement you can show it but when you're doing something on a protocol level so now it's like you have to build something in the way that yes works for your client but that other clients how do you surface that information so that other clients can use it it's it's like just much more complicated
yeah definitely so hopefully this can get done i would love to see it very excited to see that they're even thinking about it and moving on this from obergur and whoops i need to be following you sorry about that snaps are getting better we just shipped a bunch of improvements to snap components in farcaster and have a bunch more coming to celebrate here's a simple catalog of the current set of snap components we'll keep improving this catalog as we keep improving snaps so very cool so typography badges icons images layout items and groups form data progress cell grid and other actions 16 components 11 actions spec v two so very cool you can take a little tour through this snap also and let me see if it'll show there you go it is showing we also have this now we have a we can snap via the composer so you can create right from the composer and create your own little snap it gives you some ideas right here but it's not limited i'm not going to right at this minute but i did one the other day so there you go but it's very simple to use and that's the idea behind this is that to keep iterating to make it powerful and simple to create snaps on the fly so very cool cool to see have you used the cast composer yet for a snap a billion times okay
it's it gets really addicting the idea like from from idea to like prototype something live on the feed it's like it's super cool i'm like i you know i have ideas i'm like oh that'd be cool go make it they don't always work right the snaps get created you can't really test it until you put it out
edit it that's the one thing so like i
edit it after the fact yeah i know we're gonna talk about farcon later in rich's talk but i really liked you know like the idea of i i think it's like easy for us to go well no we need to be able to test it we need to be able the idea for these snaps are their ephemeral like yes they're not meant to be robust software so i think it's they'll have to figure out how to make the ai creation of them maybe a little more reliable or just so that you get so or just so that you can one shot it but i think when i
created mine like the share button didn't work or something like that and it was like well there's nothing i can do about it now so and if there was nothing you know i couldn't figure out exactly why either so there's little things like that but i assume that these will these will get better and you have to add a button to reset storage if you test ah and then remove it again okay
like if you test and then you answer your poll for instance that creates oh it it marks you as live so you can't then
like i did a poll about oh our behind the scenes look at our farcaster gm farcaster tooling and i'm like oh let me just see if it works and i click public or you know it was a live stream versus private and i click one that records my answer you can't reset it
right right so alright we'll we'll get there
idea is like if you think about the snaps in composer it's like they're not that deep no have fun like if you have an idea just play with it they don't have to be perfect like just make i think
keep it keep it simple yeah keep it simple
you're you're laughing at something and i'm missing it
i'm laughing at something in the chat that is not about snap composer but
now i have to go look parkour oh i see now i wanna do park cruise let's do park cruise park cruise will
be a year after park on ends people talk about where the next one will be
there will be no cruise it's what adrian's already the place adrienne already said no i am so down for parkers alright moving on we've got a few no few things from clanker clanker is live on revolts no no it's not on revolut
revolut 70,000,000 users 300 plus tokens fees starting at 0% staking up to 22% apy and now clanker clank clank on europe's biggest fintech so very cool to see that we also had this come from dish token tips price pillow want to protect a token floor price add liquidity in the paired token below the current tick bullish selling looking to exit a token position as nice as price increases add single sided liquidity above the current tick so adding just a few little tips there regarding liquidity this from grin a few and we have a whole session from grin on snaps that we're gonna be dropping this afternoon from farcon a new a few snap feature requests are coming snaps can show small images in lists cell grids can make the cells be square these are live on web will be live on mobile in an hour or two this was three days ago so i'm sure everything is there now thank you nikolai for reporting all these and credit to aurangazur for the quick shifts so things getting better and better with the snaps this from whoops from cassie okay so while we were gone this happened there was a new
hypersnap rewards went out so okay like let me back up for those who may not know what i'm talking about we have had discussions for a while about how there was going to be a fork of farcaster and it would have a token attached with it as part of that particular not a protocol but what would we call it i'll just call it hypersnap hypersnap chain so that did get dropped a week ago and there was a lot of questions so here's the one thing i will say about everything that's going on with this particular token and if you're interested in running nodes or getting involved with that follow cassie cassie is gonna be your definitive answers for any questions this is not being done by the farcaster slash neynar team this is a separate community thing so if you have been active on farcaster you may have received some retro rewards they're going to be released in six trenches i believe and you can claim inside the the mini app that goes along with this again look at cassie's account to make sure you have the correct one make sure it's the one that was created by her because they're of course like everything there's always you know people trying to scam so please make sure you're getting your correct information this also from cassie i'm not gonna read this whole thing but this is in regards to you know all the craziness that have been going on i received an ungodly amount of messages due to the latest retrocalcs i'm gonna make a few things clear so they she did clarify a bunch of ways in which they determined the retro airdrop and included transfers of fids resets age of the account we did find that there were some metrics that weren't good so they did make some adjustments spent the past few weeks absolutely grinding through blatant airdrop farmer networks some of the individuals involved that make up a good portion of people complaining at me good you don't help farcaster you're only here to help yourself and you got caught we now have the best spam detection algo on the platform good luck going forward with your bs cool for those who are not farmers but disappeared from results it is likely due to the first or second items we have independently confirmed cases of both the latter of which is fixed in final results the former we cannot fix unless nadar wants to make visible account recovery data so if you're having any issues cassie is going to be the person to bring those two there's one more and these will be in our show notes gonna be real this is also from cassie gonna be real clear about something we caught a number of sybil rings after the first round you can tell me all you want that your friend helped you but the reality is one wallet collected three four seven thirty different accounts and you got caught this is functionally equivalent to saying you gave your friend your seed phrase if you do that you're being dumb and more likely you're lying so making this a simple call to action you claim on multiple fids of the same wallet you're feeding our sybil detection algorithms there will not be a second post about this so there you go don't don't be out there don't be out there trying to cheat the system especially not with cassie she has a special set of skills she will find you so i would recommend not not even trying
this from clanker shout out to everyone building something weird with clanker the weirder the better we mean this alright build the weird things keep keep farcaster weird a couple other nice notes that i saw on the timeline this from balaji farcaster is still the best protocol of its kind much potential remains
some people were upset why because biology's farming snap rewards
just kidding
why this is this is gonna be this is gonna be the thing that makes it for him
people maybe got upset but this also went on to be a copypasta that proliferate proliferated by by feeds so i was happy to see it
yeah yeah so you know don't get that i'm i'm bringing this up for one point also is that don't get mad at people who come back who haven't been around for a little bit because then they're really not gonna come back it's so stupid it's dumb everyone has their reasons relax it's fine and this from w why am i still here honestly i just like you peeps fc feels like my favorite group chat and that continues to be enough grateful for everyone still hanging around and we're glad he's here as well and i love seeing how much the splits team is always shipping like crazy then we had this somebody created a farcaster song come on created a a farcaster song so there's a farcaster song that you can collect on torte music so and the tortoise collection by the way there's a lot of cool songs a lot of good stuff in there there's podcasts in there we really have to figure out we gotta get ourselves on there because it's very cool cool to see so go collect yourself the farcaster song on tortoise and matt lee i did not get this enough time with you i saw you for like two seconds
and he's like hi matt
and and and i was in the middle of kinda yelling at him because i was like where were you we missed you but anyway but matt we love we love the tortoise
because matt was a four peater
yes and he and he missed the panel that he was supposed to be on but we love you anyway and then this from kenji quest the best thing about relevant to ucas i get in my feed is that 90% of them are people i've never met or even knew existed the network still feels like a cozy corner but now i get to meet new people more often rather than being stuck in my bubble and i would agree like i don't know if you've been getting some good relevant for you cass i have as well and i've appreciated that it has been very useful i have had some new new folks
yeah the first the first two i got were immediate follow new people yeah they were i was like oh and i thought that was awesome and now pretty much anything that's as relevant for me regardless of whether i'm following someone or like whatever i'm like they're all good like it's all it just feels like forget about it it just that should be what an algorithm curates and surfaces like it's all interesting good casts
yeah so that's that's been good to see that this this is working okay i'm bringing up my other links they're just taking a second we've got some builders who are building stuff while we were gone that we need to talk about and then some farcon rome but first this from our friend eric's this launched while we were gone as well or right before i think fotocaster is live l f g and this is from eric's and jonathan colton and it's fantastic so love seeing this new new ways to collect and love it so very cool and eric is an incredible photographer so love seeing his work in a new way but this is great so go check it out if you haven't already
and digital nomads so he kinda tends to live in really cool unique places
yeah
and i know you were always looking for like the i just wanna collect and art yeah yeah you know like and they made it really easy to do so yeah very
so love this love seeing something new that is art related on our timelines and then we had yeah totally nice nice vibe shift we've had a few cool things that have popped up that i feel like are just bringing some some good vibes to the timeline and that is one juke audio is on other this is from nikki sapp new in juke audio recordings are now available in the mini app share and they will post as a link to the recording in the mini app so very cool to see nick nicki did a chat with rish so you can go give a listen to that if you missed it also civil monkey was walking around the summit towards the end of the day and had was on a space on juke and was just grabbing everybody and saying hello and it was really fun so hopefully you guys could feel like you were they were there
yeah we've been asked to come to a space soon as well and sure love to nikki and and zal and i said like i'm like they caught us like on travel day back from farcon and i was like 100% in but don't ask me today
let me just in fact
i think i said that to several people last week like they and i was like there's too much inbound like please i was like yes to everything just ask me in a week
yeah we just need a little recovery time i'm still yeah i'm not quite a 100% yet so just just give us a moment we'll we'll be right with you you got that this was from winter i told this story before but i have these metal prints in my office of 10 by 10 canvases and every single person that saw them was like holy shit this looks so cool what is this and i explained that it is a daily pixel art made by internet strangers and they go holy shit this is even more impressive now it really is so base paint just had their anniversary and i just wanted to give them a shout out because i haven't i haven't contributed to a base paint in a while but i own a a zillion of them and i love pixel art so if you haven't checked them out lately go check them out they're still really cool i actually still get the email of the new ones each day and i they're just always so impressive so so impressive so go check it out for those of us who like who like the the pixels this from toady hawk we missed this again we were traveling so we're we're catching up this is from twelve days ago exactly one year ago today net nose and i kicked off a mini app experiment to see if a little bit of speculative serendipity could create real distribution and opportunity for builders and creators on base that experiment was betterment and today is our better birthday it's been a whirlwind of a year to say the least 203,000 spins on the neon flywheel i that that's insane 200 plus rounds 300 k in total app revenue 80,000 paid to artists 25,000 paid to stakers 50,000 airdrop to loyal users and more being dropped this week somewhere along the way this stopped being an experiment and became something of movement and in a space where a year is an eternity where countless projects have come and gone we're still here still iterating still experimenting still tinkering with what it means to help creators earn from their creativity on chain this goes on for a while because cody tends to be a little wordy he's a bit of a yapper but we'll have this in the show notes if you wanna read the full thing because literally he goes on it it goes on it goes on for a while but also this is a really cute cute one to collect we know that purple cat i think he's in the chat and we also know the starfish also in the chat so loved loved seeing this loved seeing all the birthday art that came out and tends to be but love to love to love to see this and lots of love to betterment in the in the team net knows it was great to meet net knows in rome we got to finally meet him so love the team and congrats on the year this from divifly and we have a whole interview with your berserker about this but so i'll read this real quick introducing empire builder v three this is the largest upgrade to the protocol in almost a year and introduces a myriad of new features to the app bringing greater flexibility for creators and stronger options for community incentives and rewards some of the biggest new features include treasury contract upgrades to splits smart vaults launch empires for your forecaster profile no token needed so originally you needed to have a token in order to launch an empire so now if you have a community maybe you have an nft community something like that you'll you can do something a little different here nft creation in app powered by mint club multiple new leaderboards and booster metrics oh sorry mechanics built in staking option for your token coming soon very cool empire builder agent skills and expanded api documentation you can read detailed b three breakdown in the linked article oh and you can one click create an empire for your forecaster profile using the empire snap below so very cool to see and we're gonna be talking with the empire builder team about doing something for jamfarcaster so we'll be doing that soon but we also have an interview that we did with your berserker in rome that we'll be sharing sometime in the next couple of days
lastly in the fun the fun karen said sometimes i wonder what sending the creation costs of visual aids to xero will do to us and i was like so i i more more than the i'm sure this is very quick for him to make i was more focused on the really you think the millennials are that far integrated i had an issue i think the millennial creator of this particular chart might have leaned a little heavy in one particular area but you know well any thoughts by the way thought gen x was perfectly positioned stoic yes as far over as you can get thought it was accurate
i have a hard time generalizing generate like doing the generation generalizations
yeah
but love me a two by two grid so
love me a i love me a grid yeah so i mean to his point in terms of the creation of these types of things yeah much easier to do now than than back in the day alright adrienne anything i missed besides farcon stuff we're gonna just jump into that in a second oh go ahead
back when the network was so small though we could do two by two grids literally with just people's pfps because there were like 20 of us like i miss those days i'm like i don't wanna see generations i wanna see actual people plotted with me on in the top right as far as it goes of course
weren't there there was a colin what was it colin and cameron do you know what i'm talking about
yes and every now and then it'll come back up it's a colin and cameron two two by two grid
yeah
it was a colin armstrong cameron armstrong and then a cameron johnson colin it was a cameron yeah johnson armstrong two by two grid so good
just dumb dumb things dump things that we love alright let's dive into farcon it was fantastic very different than the past two years it was much more similar to the first one and it was it was almost like a hybrid of that and you know with a little bit more content than than the first one but it felt like a different vibe for sure and the travel nearly nearly killed me but for various reasons like i think it took me about twenty six hours on i was like at a twenty six hour travel travel day and then an eighteen plus hour back so like that was killer but i'm really glad we were there what's your overall thoughts
it felt so special like i loved it i had such a good time and yeah it's like you can't evaluate it on its own it it has to be evaluated compared to past ones which is a shame
yeah well you can evaluate
it on its own if
you want but
well i think that that's what i would encourage you to do in life right is evaluate things always on their own
yeah
but
yeah i mean we we've said this when we were there and it seems to be a theme that it really did feel like the the vibe of the first one yeah which is you know like the the last two ones were bigger from just people who showed up yeah attendees way bigger in terms of budget and having bigger yeah corporate like corporate money and vc money behind a lot of activations and event sponsors but then you had a lot of kind of like external influence as well into parties and content and this like the original farcom was just like had not it was completely permissionless it had it was purely organized by outside community not with like the farcaster core team involved at all so then it just really was like well very who's gonna get on a plane or a train or whatever piece of people driving and show up without having expectations right you know like there were less swag being handed out like less people selling you things less people trying to kinda like push their like product on you which we've kind of seen over the last few years everyone had their side project and and side party so it was just great and you get to meet people you meet the people behind the pfps everyone like so genuine nice interesting
and it just felt like relaxed and calm and chill and just really good vibes so i
we did have a great we had a great panel that kinda we had a chance to like look back at the various bar cons and you know last year they were turning away sponsors like literally like turning away sponsors this year not so much like it was tough it was tough to get the the financial support for this so very different time just a very different time in in the life cycle of the protocol so it definitely felt smaller more relaxed i felt less stressed than i did last year last year i felt unbelievably stressed actually past two years this year felt a little bit more i could i could relax a little bit and sort of just focus on connecting with people and not worrying too much about other factors so yeah it was good it was good people are building you know they're still just incredible builders in this ecosystem and they are shipping some of them were shipping like three four five snaps in a day just like and i did a mini app but i did another snap and then i did this and then yeah it was wild so like nikolai and chris co created and there's a few other people who were just like prolific in their building while they were just there just sitting there it's like craziness so i love that but i also loved like sort of the yeah there was definitely major builder energy was the vibe
overall i love the talks like i really liked the community talks
yes
and and the demos
because i felt like and we're gonna get everything out so if you weren't there you can see them all but it was just like a it was a nice variety
yeah today we're gonna drop first three i'm gonna drop the builder's day where we had a brief little intro from limone and then grin talking about snaps that one was not professionally recorded and you will see that difference there but it's good enough that i want to still capture it then we had the summit opening and the keynote from rish so we have that one coming out and then we had a panel that was me and adrienne gren and justin on talking about like the past bar cons and sort of varcaster culture and how that sort of goes together and yes this is big artists were first class citizens the that was the thing i think was unique for this archon was artists sort of taking center stage like rather than i don't even know if we've really had much of an art focus at all in the past ones not that i can think of and they very much like they had a presence the auction was cool the performance was really different and i enjoyed it like i shouldn't say that the first one we had chris co created doing an art session in the first one so i guess we went back to the roots so yeah but i did enjoy that as well okay so a few things from a follow-up this was from lamone at the end farcon rome comes to an end it was honestly surreal to see so many internet friends together in rome my main goal with farcon was to create an intimate gathering where people could genuinely connect make new friendships strengthen old ones exchange ideas build together and just spend time with each other beyond the timeline farcaster culture has always been deeply rooted in this url to irl loop and i'm sure many of the connections created in rome will keep living online long after this week i was incredibly impressed by the snapathon and the 24 snaps submitted same for the community talks and demos they felt way closer to creative performances than traditional conference presentations people weren't just presenting ideas they were expressing them selves through them one stands out to me as the firm on that note that was a performance that was that was not a difficult slide joke and it was awesome the q and a with rish was another big highlight for me left me feeling more confident in the direction farcaster is heading honestly the energy shift already started a week ago a few weeks ago but after these days you could really feel it in the air for real we're going higher kismet's contribution that's the artist crew the event was also massive between the art the music visuals performance and overall atmosphere artists felt like first class citizens i really hope and honestly believe that this brings more creatives closer to farcaster and shows that this ecosystem is for them too in a in a few moments where i was actually able to slow down during the event i had so many beautiful conversations with all of you hearing people talk so positively about the energy the ideas and the feeling of gathering itself genuinely made me emotional more than once i literally cried on camera and i still can't believe i did that but i you'll see it's you'll see it's coming really really grateful to everyone who came contributed supported performed helped built helped sponsored spoke hacked filmed danced cooked volunteered or simply showed up i also wanna take another moment to thank the team that made this possible luca andrea andrea darp statuette luciano grateful to have you on my side the whole time i won't forget this one so yeah big shout out to the team that put this together the amount of work that goes into these events is massive so thank you to all of them and then we had this from rish one thing i talked about during my farcon presentation the least interesting version of an ai social network is a bunch of agents posting at each other while humans watch the slobs scroll by motebook tried this but the best agents were humans masquerading as agents the more interesting version is ai helping people find their way into a network they just joined the feed is opaque the culture has inside jokes you don't know yet and you have no idea where you fit in that's where warpy is very helpful an agent that knows what you care about can surface the right conversations worth jumping into ai should make it easier for people to find the right humans not give humans more fake people to follow going to work more on this and this was in response to this let me just go back one more farcon rome incredible couple of days it's hard to fully describe the rome or boston the first style far cons it's an experience that prioritizes people and social relationships over everything else extremely organic and community driven the larger events venice new york city are different kind of fun cannot be compared just different well you can compare them but rome felt like an experience that a decade from now in a world full of agents could be described as made with love by humans thank you limone andrea luciano and everyone else who put it together the vibes matched how we think forecasters should evolve we'll share more broadly on that as recordings become available didn't think i'd be forming core memories in rome grateful to have been a part of this amazing and we will have rish's talk will likely be out this afternoon i have it ready i have to do just a couple quick things to to the show notes and chapters and things like that and we should have that out today so
his talk was great and i'm so glad he made it because there was he was at risk of not being able to make it so it's
i know
like really special to have him there when he says you can't compare them he means like you can't say one's better or not right
i agree i agree because they each they each have their own highlights that i couldn't pick just one no way they each have their
own highlights the irony is i keep saying like oh these smaller ones are better like they just because they're special yeah and yet given the choice i will always want them to be bigger
yeah because you want more people to have a chance to to be be there also
yeah
yeah like
it's like if you tell me next year yeah i want it to be big again like i when we were prepping for venice and and new york it definitely felt more exciting and i was really happy about it and yet so i don't know what that dissonance is
i get what you're i get i totally get that that feeling this is funny this team can cook now has literal truth to it we did a cooking class
inside joke
we did a little cooking class and the purple cat joined us there and catra and civil monkey with lamone and andrea and it was didn't leave anybody out
i'm sorry
urania urania it was it was fun it was a lot of fun like doing a walking tour with a with a you know with a roman giving you those those views we wouldn't have seen otherwise i think that's the one behind you yeah like we wouldn't have seen from that direction we wouldn't have known to go there so that was really cool so like those moments were special of like just doing you know being a tourist but also the various dinners that i had those were just great moments because you just get a little bit different connection and and get to chat a little bit and sometimes it has nothing to do with forecaster but it just helps to build those connections yes you were z willow yes you were you were at the cooking class in spirit okay a couple more things about farcon and then we are gonna call it so i can get these videos out this was from push for you this is just a picture but for me it is a hard coded memory in my brain and an engraved emotion in my heart forever so this was push had said he's crying about his experience there he was very emotional and that's when we got a chance to meet him his art is just beautiful i'm so glad that i i got to take a physical piece home with me was amazing and it was so great to meet him who we've worked with on doing clips and things like that i know i have all my cards somewhere but you're good you had yours all handy i did not i see i see a couple right here they're all hanging over here somewhere but yes i've got my my new addition now that i can add to the pile and it's it's fun that we we've made it to all of them so just a it's a very that crew is very small now that is a small group who can say that this from limone far hack online twenty twenty six winners are in 4,000 usdc awarded across mini apps ai agents and snaps track winners 1,000 each mini apps bus project by flor that was really fun if you didn't see that go check take a look at flor's account you'll see it there ai agents free turtle by matt lee which i love free turtle and snaps zlank by zal which was great congrats zal honorable mentions two fifty each skiffle by daryl leo nomi ascii ascii sanctuary by brett drosdorf i was so happy to see that by the way it was just so cute such snap by suchbop by max jackson celebration hub by joy sender by duckfax by the way that presentation was fun like the design of it was just really really fun so duckfax you brought the ducks i mean you know there was a lot of joy a lot of joy now
he was on brand completely on brand
completely on brand so congratulations to all of the winners and the honorable mentions and then we had this for the snapathon announcing the winner of the farcon room snapathon the goat nikolai he built a sweeping the strait of hormuz an attractive game living directly inside a snap so it was a minesweeper inspired by a very real very current geopolitical moment perfect example of a new kind of ephemeral software small interactive experiences that capture a specific moment in culture markets politics or an internet discourse and make information participatory instead of passive kind of thing that may that might make zero sense a year from now and doesn't need to actually huge congrats so that was cool to see very cool to see that he won but also this got released during that same time period uci from nikolai universal caster income i will start with an important one if your ninr score is about point five you can get 10 ks uci adomagic tip in the app every day i think it's i think he moved it up to point seven if i remember so go check this out this is a new tipping feature you can claim and then stake and then you are given a daily allowance to or lock i think you're locking not staking you get a daily allowance to tip out to others so we're back baby we're so back it's been all over my timeline all over my timeline so amazing very cool and and i believe he made this with his mini app maker vinnie app
yes
so like there's layers to this this dude he is a ship whore of the of the highest caliber this is the thing i was looking for to make my background and i forgot nice shot from the farcaster interim proof of rome looks like the pants very good and so many arches so many arches just rome is just one big giant arch also some people met the far farcaster intern so that was exciting and that's all i'll
say about that i met the farcaster intern
i met the varcaster intern for the first time as well yeah so that was fun
i got to tell them that they were doing a great job
they are doing a great job they're doing a fantastic job and then last but certainly not least fatty not happy we we know him as fatty but happy but actually he was not that happy he did a challenge to eat two kegs two two two kilograms of pasta which actually ended up being four cooked or something like four kilogram it was something absolutely insane amount of pasta and then there was a basically a little prediction market about this
and not just pasta it was like a dozen eggs and another key like kilogram of like meat or something like it was what i don't even know
how this came about but and then he was like
we were in rome people like to eat italian food and we're with a bunch of degenerate gamblers and people like to make bets on things and that's how it came about
and that's how it came about livestreamed livestreamed yeah so yeah this is a funny take on the meme and i like the fact they're like we know oh he only ate that's right he only ate two grams he had needed to eat four kilograms anyway that's it everyone we we're gonna have lots more content dropping starting today this afternoon we should have out the first three and then hopefully by the end of the week everything else should be out there we have not only the talks from the main stage we have the community talks we have the demos we have interviews that we did sometimes we did them multiple times so we're gonna be dropping all of those things this week and so just follow gm forecaster and you will see those go alright
anything else
can we shout out our can we shout out the sponsors that made the professional recording of all the talks happen
yes yes we may let me grab that overlay real quick there we go yes so thank you purple decentraland abcdcl tours and we're gonna be doing a tour with them it's gonna be fun so that's odd job word today and clanker so thank you for allowing us to have everything recorded professionally so that we can get everyone to be have a chance to experience what we what we got to be there in person so i know there's a lot of folks who just couldn't make that it's a lot of expense we get it so we want to make sure that you don't miss out on the important stuff so there we go all right anything else adrienne what i forgot
what i'm
run i'm running on fumes so i'm sure i forgot something
no i'm sure you did too as but that's fine because we're gonna be back later this week if anything's important we'll catch up another time
true
no far time was great it's good to be back i just i'm feeling super energized about farcaster like i'm excited for all the talks to get out but i i also there's a few things in rish's talk that i thought were really solid and like good but i kinda don't wanna discuss it until after we get it out right
yeah
so i'm gonna i'm gonna let that come out and then maybe we can talk about it once we'll do some chatting to watch yeah and then we can talk about it
awesome alright well we will be back on thursday at 08:30am eastern our usual early time on thursdays so we will see you all then but please look for us dropping some content over the next couple days before then and that's it anything else drop a hint about what
oh well i i assume about rich's talk i mean it was good
i mean it was nothing there's nothing like you know ground break like there's nothing there's no giant surprises but it i think it will help you understand like where we're going
oh that was the way i understood it we'll get down to back to fundamentals of like why does farcaster exist why are we here what are the unique things about farcaster that are different than you know maybe other social media that you're on yeah that you're watching us on and it was it was like a nice level set just because i think there's been so much you know ups and downs and turmoil over the last six months in terms of from like a comps perspective because things were in change in transition flux yeah so yeah so it's like a night it was like a really good foundation and it got me really you know reenergized and excited so
i agree maybe we should do a watch party for that one that might be a good idea
yeah
alright we will be back on thursday and until then everyone that's it for us we'll see you soon see you on the timeline bye bye ciao bella
