at the same time it was yeah i've been doing a lot of traveling around and i'm up in on cape cod and it's been fun and doing the holiday stuff and with the fam and my setup is less than ideal but i think i've got it good enough so and we'll just hope that the wi fi holds out breeders unite yes hi yes to crypto it's good to see you alright so we're gonna get rolling because who knows how long my wi fi is gonna cooperate so we will be back on the other side of this sixty seven seconds

gm farcaster it is monday july 6 and you are here with now to prop and adrienne ford twenty nine minutes of farcaster news to start your day which of course we're gonna go a little long but that's okay and i'm still like riding the fourth of july wave so my background are the some of the drones from the drone show in boston so it was all revolutionary war themed and it was really cool i didn't wasn't didn't see it in person i watched it on tv i saw my own little you know janky fireworks at a beach nearby but the new york ones the new york ones looked incredible like that whole show was amazing the i love the tall ships i'm hoping to see them when they come into boston next weekend the nashville show which was really disney was incredible the drones unbelievable so go go like just go to youtube and google that stuff because there were some cool stuff

yeah it was just a couple little things that took me like a while to like these things weren't working so it took longer than it probably should have but it still took me shorter time than last time so getting easier cool yeah so it was really fun so go check it out into farcaster news what the devs are working on this week this was from almost a week ago so some of these things may have been completed since then but what the devs are working on this week clanker auditing v five so version five is coming very soon probably this week depending on audits rolling out clanker droids refreshing website improving docs we're gonna talk about clanker droids in just a moment protocol putting blocks on the protocol finishing plan to put channels on the protocol onboarding a new validator we'll talk about that in a moment wallet reliability fixes better token search that would be lovely richer transaction feedback and new feature coming soon i have no idea what that is snaps smart contract transactions more feed visibility distribution experiment going live feed quality smarter spam filtering tweaking implementation of neynar score ring detection tools performance and stability across ios and android known issues we're working on not an exhaustive list just what the intern has seen the most of mini apps some mini apps not loading or stuck on loading screen wallet not loading on ios fix is pushed duplicate tokens appearing in explorer mobile ios post replies saving as drafts without being saved fix shipping today so that was six days ago should be fixed ios dms sometimes opening straight into group chat hiding the dm list that has happened to me notifications ios notification bag badge not clearing after you viewed the notification neynar developer a few small bugs with the new free tier expansion e g over limit emails firing early also with the new free tier expansion i think you have to go in and actually change that and i forgot about that so you may need to go change your something subscription subscription

yep so make sure you do that if you are having in our subscription and are in the starter area if you're above that like if you're an enterprise or something like that it's still still the same so a lot of things going on also and i'm not gonna read this whole thing but this was from the farcaster intern meet the team working on farcaster clanker and neynar here who does here's who does what and how to reach them for absolutely every anything tag farcaster that's the farcaster intern watching tags and being responsive is a big part of the intern's job so i'm happy to route you to the right person for bug reports or feature requests that aren't urgent tagging neynar works great too tagging neymar first to see if you can get an answer is probably a good idea because it may have an answer for you automatically but if it's a bug or something like that or you're not sure or you didn't get the answer you wanted from neymar the bot then tag farcaster the intern and then you can see exactly who's working on what this is super helpful and this will be in the show notes as well so you can see who everybody is and what they're working on this is from quasiya your token oh this was in response to clanker clanker's announcement your token can now can talk now you can now add a clanker droid agent to any token launch your droid joins farcaster with its own account and grows its own following cast and replies in a voice in a voice you write and covers its own compute from the token's fees and this is just the start clank clank so i've been experimenting with this with little gm and it was having some issues so now i need to go back in this week and see if those issues are fixed and get him going a little bit he's just a cute little penguin that'll say gm to you and will and will also give you a pep talk should you need one he really doesn't have much other purpose but he's cute and that's it but i have some other ideas but that was like my first like let me just test this out kind of idea and then this from quasiya excited for these to develop we have the ability to do a bunch of super novel stuff with the combination of tools we have on farcaster like token gated skill access droid rfcs droid brokerage etcetera just the same way anyone can launch a token now people still choose to to use launchpads i think similar value props exist for droids sure anyone can launch an agent but what sort of guarantees do you have around its longevity or its security posture and especially for those of us who are i think this is where this really is helpful is for those of us who are less technical i'm not going to go create a warpy like you did like it's just not something i'm going to do because that would be me spending the next six weeks and doing nothing else and also it still probably wouldn't work the way i wanted to so why would i do that i would just use it

speaking of minting winter from basepaint launched he had posted about four days ago should i create a mini app are people still doing that or something along those lines and then he did sorry things are loading slow again not on my usual wi fi so he made a mini app what do you think and it is the base paint so this is awesome because i used to mint a lot of base paint i used to participate a lot i have not in a while and i have a feeling this will get me back into it so very cool this is to the current one you can only mint usually you can only mint the base paint for twenty four hours so this is gonna change every day and add it and check it out and you can always mint for 0.0026 eth and yeah this was today's mountain climbing jrpg very cool so i was excited to see that i think that's really neat so thanks winter for bringing some bringing some more art back on the timeline love it this from rish rish went to bricks bounty farm which i there's a possibility i might pop by there tomorrow we'll see and said best carrot i've ever had straight out of the ground so made it to bricks bounty this afternoon so very cool so builders are not just building tech sometimes they're building carrots so there you go and then this is the last thing so we have had a lot of questions about the clinker ecosystem fund so i'm gonna read a little bit of this answer some questions for you and then there's more in this thread but i'll read this intro from adrienne gm we've seen some recent discussions on how the clinker ecosystem fund works how recipients are selected and the philosophy behind different types of grants by the way before we even launched the first round we talked a lot about this and gave a very thorough like so if you go back to the cef channel it's like the third or fourth post it has like a very long thread of all the details of all this but this follows up on it so all fair questions rather than respond to individual threads i wanted to share a bit more about how we think about the fund and answer a few of the common questions that have come up a few principles guide our decisions our mission is to distribute protocol fees to creators and communities who positively contribute to the clanker and farcaster ecosystem different grants serve different purposes some recognize sustained contribution while others are intended to encourage promising new builders creating momentum in the ecosystem we intentionally use human judgment rather than rigid scoring systems reasonable people won't always agree with every allocation and that's okay we think in terms of long term health of the ecosystem and the overall portfolio of grants not a single decision there are far more deserving builders than we can fund in any given month and we'll continue refining our process as we learn below are answers to a few of the most common questions that have come up as always thoughtful feedback is welcome so there we go like you'll see why did a new project get a grant that's a big one that we've had a lot of questions about fresh clank we have a specific category for this it is for there's an interesting project that involves clanker there's a clanker meme that just popped off like crazy and we want to recognize it it can be any of those type of things or a combination of those things so last month we had vinnie app az flynn and what was the third one i just forgot uci

yeah thank you charms because that that month we had a lot more funds to work with because of charms because they were getting a lot of attention this month we only did one and the only fresh clank was gappy or air gap because they're experimenting with droids and they're doing some really interesting things where like their droid you can or is launching other droids and it's kind of complex so it's still playing out a lot of people weren't familiar with it yet because it was pretty new and they were and they were kind of conflating why is this new thing getting a grant thinking that we were only giving it to sustain builders who've been building for a long time some of the grants especially the larger ones that's exactly what we're doing but for this case a fresh clank it's something new it hasn't been we don't know if it's going to be sustainable that's that's why it's a smaller grant but also it should you know we want to recognize things that are cool so that was bottom line so there's a little bit more in here if you want to read on talking about different faqs and different questions that we've been getting and if you have other questions drop them in this thread anything else you wanna say about

yep so we did vet with something new we're vetting as much as we can and we're also taking notes from the clanker team because a lot of times the clanker team is working with that builder especially when it's something complex and to make sure they're getting it right they're they're helping them they're you know they're answering their questions they're getting to know that builder probably way better than we are so we're taking some notes from them and saying like who's this person you know what do you know about them and we're asking those questions as well so that's what there was some interesting comments i'll just say this i'm gonna take your feedback and i'm gonna probably take it very well most of the time if you start calling me stupid i'm probably not and i am gonna push back on that so don't be surprised if i you you know you get my irish up and i go a little boston on you it's gonna happen especially when i'm up here now so you know if you if you do it in good faith and you're and also don't you know don't attack grantees because they didn't do anything like what are you doing so you know this happens a lot

yeah don't chase away new people please like we need new people because that's the other thing i think there was also a misconception here you do not have to be on farcaster to get a clinker grant grant if you're building like if we're it you know we're we're focusing of course on farcaster builders but also if you're building on clinker and you're primarily on twitter or other platforms you're not excluded from being considered for a grant at all like you could by the way clanker's on multiple chains you don't have to be on base you could be on solana you could be on bnb now you could be on whatever chain that clanker is on so i expect especially moving forward if b 20 who the hell knows if it's going to takes off or something there may be a lot of grants going out to people who have no presence on farcaster and that's perfectly fine hopefully what happens is that they then want to have a presence on farcaster like that's hopefully what happens after the fact so let's not you know chase them off okay because i don't know if you noticed but it's a little quiet so we want more people not less
