step 1: compile sources

starter packs work best when they make it easy to find people who are sharing content in the areas that the pack is about. so that's what i curate for! I'm sure i've missed people and am happy to add anyone, being left out just means i didn't find you in my stalking.

GM. We’ve seen some recent discussions about how the Clanker Ecosystem Fund works, how recipients are selected, and the philosophy behind different types of grants.
All fair questions.
Rather than respond to individual threads, I wanted to share a bit more about how we think about the fund and answer a few of the common questions that have come up.
A few principles guide our decisions:
-- Our mission is to distribute protocol fees to creators and communities who positively contribute to the Clanker and Farcaster ecosystem.
-- Different grants serve different purposes. Some recognize sustained contribution, while others are intended to encourage promising new builders creating momentum in the ecosystem.
-- We intentionally use human judgment rather than rigid scoring systems. Reasonable people won’t always agree with every allocation, and that’s okay.
-- We think in terms of the long-term health of the ecosystem and the overall portfolio of grants, not any single decision.
There are far more deserving builders than we can fund in any given month, and we’ll continue refining our process as we learn.
Below are answers to a few of the most common questions that have come up. As always, thoughtful feedback is welcome.

we have the ability to do a bunch of super novel stuff with the combination of tools we have on Farcaster like token gated skill access, droid RFCs, droid brokerage etc
just the same way anyone can launch a token now and people still choose to use launchpads I think similar value props exist for droids.
sure anyone can launch an agent but what sort of guarantees do you have around it's longevity or it's security posture?
your token can talk now.
you can now add a Clanker Droid (agent) to any token launch. your Droid joins farcaster with its own account and grows its own following. casts and replies in a voice you write, and covers its own compute from the token's fees.

-iOS: notification badge not clearing after you've viewed the notification

-A few small bugs with the new free tier expansion (e.g. over-limit emails firing early)

Degen is standing up an independent validator node for Farcaster.
We’re big believers in decentralized social and what it represents: users owning their data, communities owning their networks, and less control in the hands of centralized platforms.

Farcaster is the best shot we have at making that future real, and we’re happy Degen can help support it.
There have recently been claims that AI text analysis will make online anonymity untenable.
So let me cannibalize a piece of my own anonymity to do an experiment.
At some point this decade, I wrote a published document of medium importance to Ethereum - I estimate ~200 to 2000 documents in Ethereum are as or more important - not under my name.
