Seeing a lot of interest in financial incentives for running a Snapchain node. I get it deeply. I’m a big ETH head and ran self-hosted validators for friends/family for over 4 years straight. I love that people want to contribute to the network. The hard part is tokenomics. A token only makes sense if the protocol has enough decentralized functionality. We’re not there right now, and to be clear, there are no plans for a token. However our team is not dogmatically opposed to the idea. Right now the work is decentralizing more of Farcaster such as channels, infra, dev tooling, grants like CEF and growing the builder ecosystem.

Just wrapped up a mini hack week at Splits. Some of the things we explored: Payment links: send money without knowing the recipient’s payment info ahead of time. You deposit funds into a link, and the recipient can claim the money in the currency of their choice. Capital formation: a lightweight fundraising tool for raising capital onchain. It works like a placeholder for future tokens, equity, or other rights, and reflects our belief that early-stage financing depends heavily on reputation and social trust. Payment agreements: recurring payment agreements that automatically execute scheduled payments using our module system. And ... we have a winner! My method when writing the post in 2024 was: I wrote it in Chinese, used qwen2.5 locally to translate it to English, then manually fixed all the bugs in the translation. limit orders are rolling out the Warplet (FC wallet)! set a target price to buy when it dips or sell when it rips. the order fills on its own, so you can stop watching charts all day. how to set one: -open a token and tap trade -choose limit buy or limit sell -enter your target price and amount -review and place it you can add an expiry or leave it open, and track or cancel orders anytime from the orders tab. about half of you have it now, and everyone will soon. if you've got it, go set your first order and tell us how it goes!
