1:12Speaker 0

gm farcaster it is monday december 29 and you are here with nounish professor and mookie for a bonus episode very special episode we are going to be chatting with horstvax and bert wurst uncle horst is in the house so let me bring uncle horst up first and we may have a big reveal so we're gonna bring bert we're gonna bring bert up but assistant one has decided to join so here we go bert orst and assistant one this is so exciting this is like a last minute decision to go to go on screen on cam so very exciting hello bert horst hello bert mookie says hi mookie's very excited to see you and hello assistant one and uncle horse this is so exciting i'm doing all the notifications at once and this is really hard i really miss adrian right now

2:23Speaker 2

yeah but not

2:25Speaker 0

because i'm not used to i'm with the two

2:27Speaker 2

of them all

2:29Speaker 0

i need an assistant i need an assistant one

2:31Speaker 2

assistant two

2:32Speaker 0

assistant one assistant three assistant three so i'm so excited to have you both here today i gotta give mookie a treat because he's he's been good and this is all the reason he's sitting here is because of the treats the treats up here there we go treats for the puppies very excited so let's i don't even know where to dive in here so bert let's start at the beginning for those who are new i don't even know how you found this if you're new but let's pretend you're new for a moment if you don't know bert wurst is like the king of farcaster as like rosen to be the king when we had a leaderboard we still have a new leaderboard the quotient leaderboard which you're also crushing but we had the regular one every single week you're in that top three it was incredible to see that run so what has your first year on farcaster been like bert and assistant one

3:34Speaker 3

fun i mean it's crazy to think that i've been here under a year

3:41Speaker 0

yeah

3:43Speaker 3

because i haven't been alive pretty much for months

3:47Speaker 0

i know it's wild it like feels like you've been here forever it really does

3:52Speaker 3

but yeah uncle horace back in the day would tell me about this mystical place that he

3:58Speaker 2

worked for for

4:01Speaker 3

and i definitely did not understand it at all i have i know nothing about crypto i still know nothing about crypto

4:10Speaker 2

i don't think that's true but yeah

4:11Speaker 0

that's not true think of more than you realize yeah

4:17Speaker 3

and i made an account without even actually telling him oh you did oh that's funny quick he was like wait what you're off here

4:26Speaker 0

that's so funny

4:27Speaker 3

i went for i took it over and went from there but that's where mom ups came from

4:33Speaker 0

oh mom ups right it was momups that's right i forgot it was momups

4:38Speaker 3

yeah and then we fully transitioned it to bert because

4:41Speaker 0

transitioned to bert transitioned to the puppy i forgot momups i totally forgot that's where it started and the first post i think was actually before you were up even on or maybe i think hortsvax had posted about you getting a new puppy

5:00Speaker 3

i showed

5:00Speaker 2

a puppy photo yeah yeah in the olipro channel the oliposting channel very very early yeah and i don't think nobody caught on for for quite a while yeah yeah

5:11Speaker 0

you know and

5:11Speaker 2

i was very caught on bert did it himself adrian adrian caught it yeah i think very few people did but yeah because he said

5:18Speaker 0

when bert started posting i was like who is it i remember i said i remember linda talking about getting a new dog maybe it's linda and we were and she's like no you know do you remember when horse facts posted about his sister and i'm like no but now that you say that

5:33Speaker 3

i do think a lot of people think it is horse facts

5:38Speaker 0

but it's

5:38Speaker 2

oh that's funny oh that's funny there's a mysterious in the dog he's too busy yes but yeah i'm i'm very proud of my my nephew bert because he he really did it himself i was very hands off with this account i noticed you snuck on to the network at some point and started posting and yeah you know a couple weeks later before i know it you're at the at the top of the leaderboard but

6:00Speaker 3

at the top of the leaderboard at the top of the leaderboard told him not to interrupt so that bart didn't get

6:04Speaker 2

any i wanted to stay hands off no nepotism allegation baby no nepot puppies yeah so exactly

6:12Speaker 0

no nepho puppies mookie sorry no nepho puppies

6:15Speaker 3

at the point where i thought it would be like problematic for him to not disclose it but we revealed that to bert and to the world

6:24Speaker 0

and to the world yes the uncle horse and it was with a horse picture which was fantastic

6:31Speaker 3

like wait

6:32Speaker 0

uncle horse is a horse

6:35Speaker 3

yeah no no i am

6:38Speaker 0

i remember that one i just realized i didn't i didn't tweet out that we were live now as well so tweeting that out i hold too many notifications there's so many places i'm so glad bert is here he's doing fantastic so horse facts one of the questions i have for you as well is sort of look and and bert you can answer this as well bert an assistant one what over this past year like what have been the things that have stood out for you on farcaster that have been like things

7:11Speaker 2

gosh time kind of compresses right i was just thinking about this the other week like how much actually has happened in in a year but if i think back i think several things that stand out to me if i maybe maybe if i choose three one would be simply shipping mini apps right like that was this year moving from

7:30Speaker 3

what

7:31Speaker 0

no

7:31Speaker 2

frames to no

7:32Speaker 0

that was ten years ago what are you talking about

7:34Speaker 2

it feels like ten years ago but yeah most of that most of that effort building the embedded wallet connecting connecting wallets building a whole you know kind of building out that entire mini app ecosystem has happened this year i mean we had we had frames giving late last year right which is kind of when we kicked it all off and like we're starting to build that ecosystem but i think most of the growth and development of that has all been this year so that's been something really yeah really excited about and when did the wallet launching this year

7:58Speaker 0

the embedded wallet launch like when did the

8:01Speaker 2

the wallet i think went live early this year like first quarter of this year yeah so that has all been been this year too so yeah on the on the app side certainly those two things

8:15Speaker 2

the warplets moment this year was was big i was very excited about that i think that's when i look back that's one of the highlights of the year for me like anytime something anytime something takes off virally like that and kind of expands beyond you know beyond the network and takes over the network that's that's that's really exciting and the entire history of that right like was really built over over the course of this year from dan's original little warplet creatures to you know it

8:39Speaker 1

took a while

8:40Speaker 2

the mascot of the of the network yeah yeah

8:42Speaker 0

it really took a while like it was around for a while there and then it finally had this like takeoff moment like the little creature was around we started using him for warpy like right after dan said this is cco

8:55Speaker 3

yeah

8:56Speaker 0

and we're not gonna use it so this is really funny my son has just came out into the kitchen and sees us sitting here and he's like what

9:02Speaker 3

he's got this face like what is happening

9:05Speaker 0

yeah mookie's on mookie's co hosting today i told you he's co hosting he's doing a great job yeah so that and it's so funny to think about that because that it just it was like a slow it was a slow roll to to say angel to you know really taking it off making it take off and then petlets and then the pets came

9:25Speaker 2

petlets of course yeah yeah i love seeing yeah anytime we have something that's kinda composable right like that right and then you see variations and remixes and and both birds see it emerge into the culture like that yeah

9:37Speaker 3

both bread and of course we're in say angels yeah it's quite expensive to do

9:42Speaker 2

to do more yeah yeah yeah do more

9:45Speaker 3

do more in bed this month

9:46Speaker 2

yeah but gosh there's so much more too i mean dev connects was awesome like seeing people

9:51Speaker 0

from our

9:51Speaker 2

community in in argentina and all the people who came and volunteered at that booth and like seeing the combination of lots of real worlds impact of ethereum and what we're building with firecaster that was amazing clinker was was a highlight of the year for me too like there's a lot of a lot of behind the scenes on getting that done and making that you know maybe

10:09Speaker 0

and clanker itself is only a little over a year old to begin with like i think that we forget that part as well and as i've seen like some of my clankers that i did very early on kinda coming up to how how long i'm like oh my god it's only it hasn't even been three hundred sixty five days yet exactly i'm like what it doesn't even seem possible so yeah and then it does

10:29Speaker 2

feel like a time warp sometimes with the you know the pace of which things happen in this ecosystem yeah

10:33Speaker 0

it's crazy it's crazy by the way the chat is very confused it's so fun wait a minute

10:39Speaker 2

what is happening what's happening

10:43Speaker 0

i'm very confused

10:46Speaker 0

and yeah mookie you got a you got a gm

10:49Speaker 3

but there's also some clarity people have

10:52Speaker 0

yeah now they're all

10:53Speaker 3

and the family tree

10:54Speaker 0

yeah now everyone now everyone gets it i think they get it yeah they're look at the cute fur babies yes oh brad q is in in the house my ding

11:06Speaker 2

my alright my ears

11:11Speaker 0

yep yep yep now oh now everyone knows

11:14Speaker 3

the dog pose for himself he does

11:17Speaker 0

thanks shane he does he's quite he's quite good on the keyboard i've seen him yeah i've seen those pictures the world now makes sense

11:26Speaker 3

yeah when he gets tired yeah

11:28Speaker 0

when he

11:28Speaker 3

doesn't have any help but it's mostly

11:31Speaker 0

what have been your what have been your favorite moments of the year assistant one and bert oh

11:38Speaker 3

that's a really good question everything i mean it's all just been like a crazy learning experience calling on the horse once a week and asking a slew of questions about what things mean

11:55Speaker 0

did you end up doing shefi by the way

11:59Speaker 3

which is very good

11:59Speaker 0

was that helpful like for some of those things those pieces that you might have been missing

12:05Speaker 3

absolutely i i was honestly impressed with just how much i learned from being on the network right you learn a lot by just trying things i think that that is something that brooke has said in the past of like just try things do it you know cautiously but just play around with stuff and you learn a lot

12:28Speaker 0

i think that's and that's how i approach even my class but even my because that's my personal learning style is i can learn something but until i do it it doesn't click and it and i right and i with a lot of things even in crypto when there's a new eip or fip or whatever and people talk about it and i'm like okay sounds great i don't know what this means until i see it in action so for me i highly recommend that and that's why i always try to make sure we have a little bit of ethereum to give the students let them actually play around actually swap tokens do things because if you don't you really don't get it you really can't learn it so take those small you know easy to fail kind of things you know tiny amounts but play around because otherwise you're not going to figure it out yeah

13:20Speaker 3

yep ask questions from a trusted source

13:24Speaker 2

i think there's been some good learning by doing over the past year oh yeah sure i got a call hey i launched a token a typed in token what do i need to do now

13:37Speaker 2

yeah i've got a mini app how do we deploy it so yeah

13:40Speaker 0

i got crazy token

13:42Speaker 3

yeah it was fine well the first one was the retake one i didn't even notice we really did until people were by and that's fine but then mcclain didn't that was a last minute decision i

13:57Speaker 2

think it's a right of a right of farcaster passage so here

13:59Speaker 3

we are

14:00Speaker 0

you gotta you gotta clank you gotta clank something by accident

14:05Speaker 3

and all the horse didn't use it and so then and then you called me back immediately

14:11Speaker 2

yeah sometimes sometimes you find out yeah

14:15Speaker 0

yeah just find out oh what happened what did you do now hey you know it worked out it's all worked out

14:24Speaker 3

it's been great is in april for tax oh

14:28Speaker 0

that's funny amazing amazing okay so what am i what if you have any questions for the assistant for bert for horse facts drop them in the chat brad i'm sure you have questions throw them in there

14:45Speaker 3

puffs on puffs on puffs that's funny pups on pups and pups yeah

14:48Speaker 0

mookie's like getting he's tired of his i can tell he's ready to go but i'm gonna try and get him to chill for a minute so in terms of like the clanker aspect of it i want to just jump back to that because you said something and then i we kind of diverted bringing clanker onto farcaster was like a tough like a a bigger lift i think than people realize so in terms of like what you had to do with smart contracts and all that kind of stuff so how did that all go what surprised you what did you learn from like bringing clanker onboard

15:29Speaker 2

yeah i think it went really well you know there's a lot of work behind the scenes because we did the big token token burn and taking over sort of operational control of a of a protocol that's actively running there's just a lot of things to to think about there in terms of

15:43Speaker 2

getting an understanding of the system and taking over you know taking over operations and and all that and that went really well i was really proud of of the way that it went i mean a few people commented afterwards hey it didn't leak you know nothing nothing happened in advance and i was very very proud of that that was that was well done and well executed

15:58Speaker 0

that was shocking actually how many people you know i you guys kept it really tight because we didn't know we i mean and we were like sponsored by clanker and we had no idea like it was coming i was shocked

16:12Speaker 2

yeah we had you know some engineering work as well involved in giving back giving back fees ownership over those fees back to projects which was one of the first things first things we did and then in in operationalizing some of the clinker clinker buys so those are the two two other things that i think you know shortly after that we put some engineering effort into and then right now we're thinking about you know we've we've shared i think we've been doing some work in the open thinking about what's coming next for for the next iteration of clincher and what we can add both to both to v four as it is just today and then to you know what might be coming for for v five so giving something about that which is where we're gonna be focusing when we when we return next week in the new year so great

16:52Speaker 0

yeah that's actually another question what are you looking forward to for 2026 like what you know that you can share i know that i'm sure

17:01Speaker 2

there's things

17:01Speaker 0

that like you can't share yet but dan's talked a lot about the priorities for

17:07Speaker 2

less than you might think you know i think we're pretty open about what we're thinking about and where where we're going so yeah you know there aren't too many aren't too many big secrets in in forecasters pretty pretty open yeah excited excited about continued work with with clincare i think we have two good ideas on new new models for you know better broader fair distribution of of tokens so excited to do that i'm i'm personally excited to get my hands back on smart contracts and work on on some of that that's something that i really enjoy

17:38Speaker 2

it's exciting to see you know see baseapp launch see that go live and see the growth of the network that's that's come from that and we're kind of in we found our way into a world where we have you know not just space but we have we have zapr that has launched and is is building you know uno is is out there and growing cura so we actually are in a

17:58Speaker 0

are you trying all the

17:59Speaker 2

different client ecosystem

18:01Speaker 0

are you trying all the different all the different clients

18:04Speaker 3

yeah

18:04Speaker 2

i do as soon as someone invites me i'm happy to yeah

18:08Speaker 0

have you tried sofa yet

18:10Speaker 2

i haven't tried that yet but yeah i need to need to get in there too so yeah i think actually i think

18:14Speaker 0

assistant one i think you'll like sofa a lot like it's a little more deeper dives too but you will too i think horace

18:20Speaker 3

oh chris india

18:21Speaker 0

yeah so you should jump on there yeah

18:24Speaker 3

using the time oh really so

18:28Speaker 2

yeah yeah i you know the confluence of a lot of tooling for for building apps you know whether it's a mini app whether it's a full scale client whether it's something you know even you know in some cases smart contracts or or other things in in crypto like the confluence of tooling right now is really exciting to me too where we have you know i've seen people over this break just getting into cloud code and other ai assisted tools you were using the nanar app builder just on the firecaster recently which is it has is really impressive and so

18:57Speaker 0

did you create a mini app

18:59Speaker 3

i did or made a mini app

19:02Speaker 2

coming soon

19:03Speaker 3

it's coming soon we're just waiting for a feature to launch at the january through an ar so that i can do it fully through an ar

19:13Speaker 2

oh cool

19:14Speaker 3

we've actually yeah

19:15Speaker 0

they're gonna be launching it sounds like they're launching a few things in the new year that will improve it because one of the things like i was asking about was okay well i don't want you know die hard the game to be my only thing forever like this is more of a starter one now what

19:33Speaker 2

that was again our app right

19:35Speaker 0

yeah like so

19:37Speaker 3

yeah we ran into the same thing where we started making a second one and realized that it would overwrite the first one okay

19:45Speaker 0

i think somebody somebody wants to get down so i'm gonna let him go

19:49Speaker 3

hold on

19:49Speaker 0

hold on hold on hold on so say goodbye to my cohost mookie say goodbye to the people good say say bye bye okay i'm putting it down i'm putting it down hold on hold on you're gonna get hurt

20:01Speaker 0

okay goodbye

20:05Speaker 0

sure king yeah so i think that i think that i think the nanar mini app studio is amazing and like it's gonna it's gonna allow for those of us who might be creative but not as technical to do some really cool stuff so i'm excited

20:26Speaker 3

yeah i had tried previously using prod importing the docs and everything and i got nowhere near this far

20:36Speaker 0

yeah same

20:38Speaker 2

same exact a little one $5.20 gift card yeah i walked

20:42Speaker 0

through with linda i i i did a walk and i got you know close but it was still like it was still too complicated so this like takes a lot of that end you know the end part complication out of the way which is nice

20:56Speaker 3

absolutely and yeah i joke that he got all of the computer intelligence this is

21:04Speaker 0

so if

21:04Speaker 3

i can do it anyone can do it

21:07Speaker 0

exact i mean same same for me like i if i can do this anyone can do this so if i can launch you know this little game but now it's like okay but now i wanna do other things and now i have other ideas and so it's like yeah let me let me in there i've got yeah i've got things i wanna do so it's fun yeah and i think

21:26Speaker 2

it's i think it's

21:27Speaker 0

super exciting yeah

21:28Speaker 2

me too yeah like you know a lot of the promise of firecaster is being a programmable substrate and a programmable social network but you know it hasn't always been accessible to to people who want to everyday users who wanna build things on top of us and so having this become much more accessible in this way is really really cool to see you know the time from having an interesting idea to being able to to launch that and get that in front of people you know reduced and the the the barrier to entry that that takes to do that see things in that reduce is really exciting

21:57Speaker 0

yeah i think it's i hope

21:58Speaker 2

those tools only get better and better

21:59Speaker 0

and i think it will i think like i'm i'm excited and i think that yeah there's still some things that are a little rough around the edges kind of stuff yeah or

22:10Speaker 3

you know i had

22:10Speaker 0

to keep waking up the app things like that so hopefully like they'll get some of that smoothed out

22:20Speaker 0

we've got a burt treat count only three

22:23Speaker 3

i think it's more three

22:25Speaker 0

she gets more than three mookie went through like i had put some in a bag to keep close and he went through most of them just and then he i finally had to i had to let him go

22:39Speaker 0

he said he's being so good he is very well trained i will say that very well trained minus

22:45Speaker 3

he's seen on the internet

22:46Speaker 0

yeah he is very well trained i've seen some great i'm like wow we did not do enough schooling with clearly let's see he is not nearly as good same breed not even close to as as well trained oh i love this anything that frees you from having to deal with database stuff is good yep that too that too so what else are you looking forward to in 2026 what else can we can we be on the lookout for that you're excited about

23:23Speaker 2

yeah let's see

23:27Speaker 2

beyond clinker beyond the app yeah i mean it's excited about you know excited to see more clients and excited to see where it goes with with growth of the of the network right and

23:37Speaker 0

dan has mentioned prediction markets as well is that that yeah something is this gonna be something that's is this like incorporating existing markets or doing something new do we know yet

23:50Speaker 2

i think we'll be using yeah using existing you know existing services looking at a few different prediction markets that are are out there

23:57Speaker 3

cool yeah i think that

23:57Speaker 2

could be cool that's a very social right like in a in a way i think prediction markets are more social in some ways maybe the meme coins are are trading in some aspects so they could be a good fit for the kind of discussion and news cycle and you know throw those into the feed so yeah

24:11Speaker 0

you know you know what it pairs very well with a trending feed just saying

24:15Speaker 2

sure yeah

24:18Speaker 0

it it really pairs well

24:19Speaker 3

with that

24:20Speaker 2

okay okay

24:21Speaker 0

somebody just said in the chat hey horse facts man how do you feel about the cult formed after you animals

24:28Speaker 2

animal facts i love it yeah how mean do we have i know we have llama facts crab facts

24:33Speaker 0

cat facts is in the audience cat facts is here with us today yeah

24:37Speaker 2

cat facts are awesome everyone does come up with at least three facts because i have you know three no usually no more than three actual facts if you ask me for more than that i start to run out and just make them up but what

24:49Speaker 0

did on do justin just added one too what the heck is he i forget now he changed to something facts what was it

24:56Speaker 3

there's a dog facts

24:58Speaker 0

is there a dog yeah he's something else though

25:00Speaker 2

yeah what the heck was it

25:02Speaker 0

now i forget he just did it too and yeah like they're they're still i've i've thought about it believe me i'm like i have an idea for my alts

25:11Speaker 3

the unicorn facts

25:13Speaker 0

should i ever need one

25:17Speaker 0

yeah i'll be unicorn facts yeah there's a unicorn facts oh justin changed it

25:21Speaker 3

i think unicorn facts there's unicorn untruths

25:26Speaker 0

oh that's right it's unicorn untruths you're right i forgot

25:31Speaker 3

may not be in the family

25:32Speaker 0

yeah it's somebody in the room in the

25:35Speaker 3

living room

25:37Speaker 0

who might be who might be close by

25:39Speaker 2

that's in the whole family tree episode yeah yeah

25:44Speaker 3

yeah i think it's i mean what in this house we have one two three four five

25:51Speaker 2

of course the whole family is on fire casper yeah

25:53Speaker 0

yeah love it crab facts find us

25:57Speaker 2

crab facts that's right yeah

25:58Speaker 0

crab facts is justin yes

26:00Speaker 2

there's gotta be interesting facts

26:02Speaker 0

about crab

26:02Speaker 2

interesting animals crab facts everything yes everything becomes a crab right

26:06Speaker 3

they cut food

26:07Speaker 0

crab facts yes thank you i was looking it up mikado and then i realized that yeah i probably could could've i'd looked up and there it was in the chat yes we've got a lot of facts going on i think it's amusing i definitely i think at one point you know at some point everyone will will eventually pick their animal facts

26:28Speaker 2

yeah

26:28Speaker 0

i feel like something will come of this at some point in time alright burtwurst see burtwurst and assistant one what are we looking for so you're gonna have a mini app that's coming out in 2026

26:41Speaker 3

yeah i think first we're moving that's gonna be your you might hear less from us for a couple weeks

26:49Speaker 0

i thought you already moved you didn't move yet

26:51Speaker 3

no oh okay we didn't we got some work to do on it but uncle horse is gonna come see it today and hopefully move it

27:02Speaker 0

that's why bert said they're gonna put he's like i like it just as it is because he can run around yeah i get it

27:08Speaker 3

he loved it because it's just a big sue me palace and it's right next to his dog uncle

27:17Speaker 2

here neighbors yeah

27:20Speaker 3

so yeah they

27:21Speaker 0

uncle uncle horace have you met uncle pierre

27:24Speaker 2

i have

27:24Speaker 3

yeah have

27:25Speaker 2

we had this meeting

27:26Speaker 0

i don't did we have a photo app of that i think we need a photo of that

27:31Speaker 3

maybe maybe we'll get some this afternoon

27:34Speaker 0

unc meets unc i i feel like that that could do some numbers yeah

27:38Speaker 3

yes yeah in the neighborhood they call bert and pierre humpy and jumpy

27:47Speaker 3

okay bert is not humpy

27:50Speaker 0

i figured who was jumpy yeah i figured who was jumping that's funny yeah

27:55Speaker 3

that's fair

27:56Speaker 0

that's hilarious okay and then mini app will come out sometime in january this is exciting

28:03Speaker 3

sometimes i yeah someone i don't remember who said maybe it was colfax said release it don't it'll never be perfect that's hard for me

28:13Speaker 2

but yeah

28:14Speaker 3

we'll get it out

28:16Speaker 0

that's that was very tough for me because i knew it was not ready and i was just like you know what i'm just putting it out there anyway like it's fine it's good enough i know there's things that are wrong but it wasn't i think so that's one problem with the ai too if you are not if you're a dev you're just gonna prompt better because you know what needs to be fixed or even if you have some tech experience if you're not sometimes it's very hard to communicate in a prompt like what you want fixed and how like sometimes it gets fixed and just not in the way

28:51Speaker 3

you were on it

28:52Speaker 0

it's like no no no that's not what i meant

28:55Speaker 3

that happened when i in the previous iteration i was following paltra on you know his guides on youtube and his advice in dms but you would watch one of his streams and he just knows what's wrong with it where i don't know what's wrong with it it just doesn't work right

29:14Speaker 2

right

29:16Speaker 3

so there's a learning curve but they are definitely up the game

29:22Speaker 0

yeah it definitely gets you to a better place for sure than than anything else i've tried so that's been amazing so i'm excited to see i'm excited to see what you came up with but i get it like i've had so many things where i've gotten them to like an okay place and i'm like no i'm not dropping this yet

29:40Speaker 3

yeah

29:41Speaker 0

it's not ready it's not ready and then sometimes it never and sometimes it never happens and i know that's the problem like you don't wanna not do it but at the same rate you want it to be like you want it to be your vision and sometimes it just hard to get there so i get it

29:56Speaker 3

there was another one that we worked on that then someone else released basically the exact same thing while we were like pretty much done with it and there's no better

30:08Speaker 0

so yeah yeah that happens like you're like oh i'm not dropping this thing that was way much way better that's a way better idea that i had that's funny and anything else that you have like geared up for 2026 that you're excited about or looking forward to are you coming to farcon either of you

30:30Speaker 2

i am

30:30Speaker 0

coming to rome

30:31Speaker 2

yeah i'm trying to get i don't know if bert's gonna make it but we'll see if yeah if one of the assistants can

30:37Speaker 0

assistant one might might be there great

30:39Speaker 3

yes

30:40Speaker 0

great great we'll have more from gm farcaster we're talking with the farcon rome team we've been figuring some things out so more info coming probably next week about what we're doing so yeah excited excited excited never been to italy so this is gonna be

30:58Speaker 2

oh cool yeah

30:59Speaker 0

a big trip a big trip for me so mookie you're not coming he doesn't care

31:05Speaker 3

yeah bert bert will come to marfan when it's in

31:09Speaker 0

when it's an

31:10Speaker 3

error message there you

31:14Speaker 0

go i've recommended it be there so i was up for at one point i remember talking with ted after last year's far con or maybe it was the year before or something about scottsdale being a great location

31:28Speaker 2

there we go

31:29Speaker 3

yeah true

31:30Speaker 0

so yeah so we we did talk about that but things things changed yeah that would have been great so yeah i'm down for that great spas great spas there all right anything else that we didn't touch on that you want to touch on before we before we wrap here i don't have adrian to do all my i may have to do a few a few lightning rounds but before we get to that what did we miss

32:01Speaker 0

i'm just glad bert's here like i'm so glad that bert's on the timeline makes me happy like and i think it just brings a lot of joy to a lot of different people who just enjoy seeing him on the timeline i love your quick wit both of you so thanks mom thanks mom facts

32:24Speaker 2

yep

32:24Speaker 0

for for that i'm sure or maybe it's dad facts i don't know i don't know but one of them call them back one of them are responsible for the humor and i appreciate it

32:34Speaker 3

something that i think we found in adulthood that we're we're four and a half years apart so we were never at school together we were never you know that close but we find a lot more similarities between us

32:50Speaker 0

yeah i definitely there's the he the humor and wit and it's and wit is different like wit is intelligent humor to me so it's a little different you have both of those things going at all times and you see it not only in your cast but in your replies and i think a lot of people miss some of those and i you know sometimes there have been times when i've been seriously laughing out loud of like just funny just funny little quips that just kill me so i appreciate you

33:23Speaker 2

it's fun it's fun people like text based social media too you know it's kind of a dying a dying form a dying medium you know

33:29Speaker 0

yeah it's fun yeah

33:31Speaker 2

but yeah

33:32Speaker 0

and it's click fun you know what i mean like it doesn't yeah i don't have to i don't have to you know spend twenty nine minutes watching a whole video just kidding as i'm yeah as i'm encouraging text media as i do video media but it's true like it i just find it really enjoyable so if you are for some reason here and you are not following burt wurst or horstvax on all the things you need to be right now so make sure you're following them i do have one more question for horace fox i forgot to ask you this before you've been now streaming like a lot more towards the 2025 how are you are you enjoying that or does it feel like what have you learned from doing that i guess that's

34:15Speaker 2

the question we did a lot of that in the earlier yeah it's in the early half of the year when we were encouraging people to build mini apps and sharing sharing some of that i picked up a lot of that with with linda mhmm i learned a lot from it i think i got more comfortable being on stream i learned i learned a lot about simply managing i'm sure you you empathize with us but like you know you have nine or six different control panels that you need to manage all at once while you stay on the stream and you watch the chat and you're doing a live demo that's actually really really impressive i'm impressed with people who are able able to manage that that was always you know one of the challenging things for me yeah and it's a lot it's a lot of work i could i i learned that i've actually you know toned it down since we've been working on on some other things i haven't been doing doing that as much but linda has picked it up and linda has has continued on and has been doing a lot in public with with builders and

35:09Speaker 3

and

35:09Speaker 0

i've really appreciated others some of her like educate educational like the stuff we've been doing with planker lately the one on ones i think are super super helpful

35:17Speaker 2

yeah

35:18Speaker 0

and i'm really glad to see that because i think that kind of thing is really needed so i'd love to see more of that you know with mini apps with whatever as we move into the the new year like more clanker stuff but also like the other things as well really helpful

35:37Speaker 2

the other thing i learned though is also don't take it too seriously right like once you get over you know you get over that sufficient you know it felt very very daunting at first with with picking up all the tooling and you know doing all the all the planning in advance but also just just throw it out there and you'll pick it up as just

35:50Speaker 0

do it

35:51Speaker 2

as you go i was yeah you know happy to

35:53Speaker 0

gary tan do you remember that that because adrian and i talk about this all the time in the ama very early on gary tan forgot that he had a farcaster account but he does but early on when he did an ama one of the things somebody asked him i can't remember the question but i remember the answer was talking about consistency and just doing the shitty version of whatever it is you're doing but doing it like continuing to iterate on that and improve but putting it out in the world and i and i also like we always talk about this too with brian armstrong action produces information and he always says that and i think that is very true especially with things like this where you don't know until you just do it a million times like you can't that's how you get better like there's no other way to get better so you just have to keep doing it

36:48Speaker 2

100% and it applies to this it applies to building mini apps it applies to you know other products everything everything in life so yeah

36:54Speaker 0

yeah like my know that my next mini app will be much easier to build links are much easier to build because i you know learned so much doing it the first time so i'm excited i'm excited for the new tools that are coming i'm excited for it to get a little bit easier i'm also excited for like other people to find that magic of like oh i can make something because i think that is magical especially when you can see it so quickly on farcaster and if you don't know this already like farcaster is an incredible place to launch something because you have these built in early adopters who are just you know eager to try things and that's really special and it's pretty amazing so i'm excited for 2026 it's gonna be fun bert bert you're adorable you make my day every day just know that like we just we just love you we love you so much and when i said it brings lots of joy brad agreed we know mama q is a big burt fan as well shout

37:59Speaker 3

out mama q

38:01Speaker 0

shout out mama q shout out brad q and we'll see you in 2026 so gm forecaster is coming back on january 1 adrian will be back here and then she's like gone for another couple days to to ski

38:17Speaker 3

38:21Speaker 0

there's the shot

38:22Speaker 2

38:23Speaker 0

38:26Speaker 2

38:26Speaker 0

38:36Speaker 2

perfect

38:37Speaker 3
