https://x.com/nikitabier/status/2011825522817270230?s=20 this was the reason i decided to build here vs. twitter. sadly the value prop of an open social graph becomes obvious only when platform risk plays out. silver lining is less performance and farming slop on twitter 🙃

every clanker/coin should do this 👇 last week few clankers launched Believer Leaderboards on cura to identify and reward their token communities. in one week • 2000+ FIP-2 token casts (eg: 5x growth for $Regent) • 400+ users earned for trading & casting, more ⬆️volume and attention • $2,500+ rewards from clanker creators the interesting part isn’t the payout, it’s the shape of participation. when a token deployer incentivizes a desired behavior over a period of time, driving more volume and attention in this case, you get a better shot at building a robust token community. believer leaderboards give token communities a way to recognize and reward attention, engagement, volume, and conversation - all together! the loop is as simple as trade → cast → earn → repeat we’re early, but initial pilot with $likes, $QR, $Regent, $Emerge, and $FIDPunks is promising. props to @atown @yar0x @seanwbren @jake @streetphoto for kicking this off. one more thing - you now get daily notifications on cura about all active tokens rewarding believers for trading and casting!
we just made new user growth and onboarding for channels super simple, measurable, and easier to coordinate among mods channel mods → create multiple invite links → track usage for each link and recycle anytime → allocate unique links to others (like top contributors in channel) → access analytics on invite link usage and new user contribution new users → receive an invite link and join the channel directly (multiple abstractions) → land on a welcome page with channel rules, suggested follows, and first cast actions working on improving speed of signup flows
excited to onboard @javabu.eth to build and grow a home base for /politics on cura. we're going to support him in curating the best politics related conversations/feed, onboard net new users and enable crypto native incentives and mini apps for the /politics channel. 👀 ready to take on giants
tomorrow 10am PT we'll share how we plan to grow farcaster channels with Cura will go over - easy and direct onboarding to channels (new+existing fc users) - mobile UX at par with other consumer apps - in-app notifications to channel users, auto-posts, scheduled casts - channel incentives and automatic weekly leaderboard rewards if you manage a channel or want to build one see you Wednesday(8/6 at 10amPT) https://events.xyz/events/a2a0afc6
Cura is making it easy to discover channels! now you can surface the best content across topics you love, powered by farcaster channels. try the app 👇 why? - some of the best content about your fav topic or interest lives in channels. - most new users land on farcaster, stumble upon channels and aren’t sure what to do next. we want to make it easy for users to discover channels they vibe with - channels with quality conversations want these to be persistent, not lost in an ephemeral feed - power users want to double click on certain topics and don't know which channels have high signal users and content https://cura.network/?t=topics
We’ve been rooting for channels since day 1 On Channels Day (7th June), we’ll celebrate folks who make channels great - mods and users who show up in channels everyday. we’ll pick the 100 most active channels and drop a Channels Day NFT to the top 50 users on each of these channel leaderboards. you can check your rank and share directly from the channel app. https://cura.network/memes/leaderboard?leaderboardType=lifetime
wrapped up a great call with some channel mods/owners talked about possible roadmap for channels, what's missing, magic moments. some common threads: - channels want more ways to drive engagement and growth, not just distribution. - discovery is important across apps, but so is having direct access to your community. - folks run different types of channels, so flexibility matters across feeds, onboarding and moderation. - the idea of owning your front page for your channel without relying on one app is powerful. thanks to those who still show up for channels!
Farcon Superfeed is now live on @cura all farcon content across channels in one place. don't miss any of the cool stuff next week, whether you're url or irl :) https://cura.network/?t=farcon
channel economies are taking shape... /cryptosapiens channel automatically sent out weekly rewards with $CABAL using their Channel Leaderboard. 1-click claim using v2 frames channel members get rewarded <--> channel wallet receives trading fee from token
AMA about @curabot, channels tokens, leaderboards, and channel v2 frames on wednesday 9am-10am PT. drop questions in comments :) happy to share more on: how cura uses openrank to create a channel specific reputation system and leaderboard how should we grow communities on farcaster via channels, frames, agents and tokens how to best use channel tokens for community building
big update for channels - mods can now distribute rewards (ETH, USDC, ERC20 on @base.base.eth) to members for posting great content or positive contribution in the channel. here's a couple of challenges channels/mods typically face: - takes a lot of effort and time to browse and identify good content in the channel - once you identify the users, its cumbersome to send out the rewards, especially if there's many users and distribution is done frequently. we launched channel points and rankings a few days ago. now mods can use these leaderboards to reward members daily/weekly/retroactively with 1-click! 1. login to cura and head to Distribute Rewards 2. create a reward drop - enter token to distribute, amount, # recipients based on daily leaderboard, lifetime leaderboard, openrank rankings. 3. connect wallet and send - rewards are automatically dispatched to the verified address of the FID. soon you'll be able to send a DC to the recipients.
just launched OpenRank v1 SDK - allows devs to create their own rankings and reputation scores based on any data set, without running any infra @ilemi created @base.base.eth channel user rankings based on onchain activity using the SDK,then created an onchain feed using @dune.eth https://dune.com/ilemi/openrank more next week
