We had a very busy, very productive day making our rounds, telling our story and answering questions about why CLARITY is so important to us, especially in the realm of developer protections. Guys, I really think we all made a difference today. Our team was incredible. Huge HUGE shout out to Stand With Crypto and Defi Education Foundation for getting us there. I feel pretty dang great. What a day!

This is how easy it is to turn @farcaster into a musical instrument now. 🤓🎶 And it’s FREE. The only thing involving transaction on the app is sending me a tip if you appreciate it, so I can add more change to my please god help me escape desolate Nebraska fund. 😂 📱&& 💻 Supported? Yes! ✅ Go make some noise. (Also on Base app lol.) https://theremini.app

The more I work with the Farcaster code base the more convinced I am that that top reason was a bad spam model. This model marks most people, including me, spam while a select, mostly hand-picked, few are designated "high quality" and were boosted in the feed. The boosting of those select few contributed to the "cabal effect" that many users could sense on the timeline. Over the past week, I've replaced the use of the old spam label with the Neynar score in the home feed algos, bit by bit. As of today, home feed algos no longer use the spam label at all. Engagement and diversity of authorship in the home feed have grown as a clear result of swapping the model.

fyi, we don't expect anyone to renew until we give them a reason to.

Yes clanker b20 is coming soon, likely not at the same time as the b20 rollout but soon after (specific date TBD) b20 is a super set of erc20, it's fully compliant to the standard it just has some extra features that make basic operations cheaper, and more consistent. Here's the interface: https://github.com/base/base-std/blob/main/src/interfaces/IB20.sol It's a precompile so there's not an impl listed but you can test with the foundry setup they have using the precompile address constants. Also what deployment infra do you have that relies on clankers being ERC20s? Curious to hear more about that

Glyphs, let's talk about it. Glyphs lets you instantly transform your photos into beautiful artwork. Pick a powerful artistic style — like Monet, Van Gogh, or Miyazaki — then drop in your image and watch it get completely reimagined. When you create something you love, mint it as your own digital art. Why We Built It (@eriks + JC): We’re photographers who got completely addicted to remixing our own work. We’d lose hours on the phone experimenting with different styles, turning the same landscape into impressionist paintings, Japanese woodblock prints, Studio Ghibli vibes, and more. So we built the tool we wished existed — simple, powerful, and genuinely fun. How It Works: -Choose the artistic prompt/style first -Upload your photo or use your PFP -Instantly see the transformation -Remix, iterate, and play as much as you want -Mint the creations you fall in love with as NFTs

Spread Farcaster Lore With A ViniApp Mini App

Build and publish a mini app using ViniApp that helps people discover, learn, experience, or participate in Farcaster lore. Your app can be educational, entertaining, historical, social, gamified, or completely experimental. The goal is simple: **Tell the story of Farcaster through software.** Submit a link to your live app along with a brief explanation of what piece of Farcaster lore, culture, history, meme, community, or ecosystem it highlights. ### What Counts? Examples include: - A quiz about famous Farcaster moments - A timeline of major Farcaster milestones - A game featuring well-known Farcaster personalities, memes, or events - A mini app that teaches newcomers how Farcaster works - A discovery tool for iconic casts, channels, creators, or communities - A Farcaster iceberg chart explorer - A prediction game around Farcaster culture - A social experiment that only makes sense inside Farcaster - Anything else that helps people understand or engage with Farcaster These are examples, not restrictions. Surprise us! ### Requirements - Built using ViniApp: https://www.viniapp.xyz/ - Publicly accessible and functional at submission time - Clearly related to Farcaster lore, culture, history, or ecosystem - Include a short writeup explaining: - What you built - What Farcaster story you're telling - Why you chose it - Submit a link to the live app ### Judging Criteria We're looking for apps that are: - Creative - Fun to use - Insightful - Well executed - Likely to teach someone something about Farcaster Technical complexity is not required. We've formalized the criteria for adding non-snapchain validators in a FIP: https://github.com/farcasterxyz/protocol/discussions/272 For anyone reading the claims that we lied on the recent dev call: we didn't. It's not clear what we're supposed to have lied about, and if there's something specific, we're happy to address it directly. What was said is on the record either way. Responding to every claim isn't a good use of our time, and it pulls the team off the work. We're always happy to engage with anything that moves Farcaster forward. Spending time addressing hostility doesn't. The interesting work is ahead of us, not behind. That's our focus.

Today Streme is launching warpletgobbler.xyz, a self-feeding Warplet flywheel. --HOW TO PLAY-- 1. Win the auction to get a Warplet + Gobbled Warplet NFT (and a generous allocation of $SUP!) or 2. Sell your Warplets to the Gobbler to receive the ever-increasing pot. -- HOW IT WORKS -- $WARPGOBB token fees flow into the Gobbler as a live stream, so the payout for selling a Warplet ticks up in real time. When someone sells a Warplet into the Gobbler, they take the pot and the Warplet enters auction.

new bounty inspired by @sgniwder's DAU post yesterday and boosted via our @farcaster CEF activation grant we want to know the real story behind Farcaster's current user numbers in the broader context of the crypto industry add funds on mainnet to support the mission 🤝 https://poidh.xyz/mainnet/bounty/10

Farcaster vs Crypto DAU: What’s the Real Story?

Farcaster vs Crypto DAU: What’s the Real Story?

We’re funding a community-driven analysis to answer a simple question: **How has Farcaster usage changed over the last year vs crypto-wide activity — and what does it actually mean?** There’s been a lot of noise around declining/peaking activity in Farcaster casts, but we want context. Is this a Farcaster-specific trend? Or does it mirror broader crypto attention cycles? We’re opening a bounty for the best attempt to break this down. --- ## **Deliverable (open format)** Submit *any format that best explains the story*, for example: - 📊 A Dune dashboard or other onchain/data dashboard - 🎥 A video breakdown (at least 1-3 min long preferred, but flexible) - 🧵 A Farcaster or X thread with charts + narrative - 📈 A written report / blog post - 🧠 Or any hybrid of the above We care more about clarity + insight than format. --- ## **What we’re looking for** Your analysis should try to answer: - How has **Farcaster DAU / active casters / engagement** changed over the last 6–12 months? - How does that compare to **broader crypto activity signals** over the same period (pick proxies like: - active wallets - L2 usage - onchain transactions - social activity where relevant) - Is Farcaster diverging from or tracking the broader crypto cycle? - What are the *most honest interpretations* of what’s happening (not just charts, but meaning)? --- ## **Good submissions usually include** - At least 1–3 clear data sources (onchain, social, or analytics) - At least one comparison that normalizes for hype cycles or seasonality - Visuals (charts, graphs, or timelines help a lot) - A clear narrative takeaway: “what story do these numbers actually tell?” --- ## **Rules / constraints** - Must be original work - Must include sources or reproducible methodology where possible - Can be solo or collaborative - No format advantage — best insight wins, not best tooling --- ## **Reward** Best submission as judged by bounty contributors wins 🏆 Submissions open through June 30th @ 11:59 pm PST 🗓️

sorry we've been quiet, it's a bittersweet closure today. we're winding down @openrank and @cura. we tried hard to grow and sustain the products and tools we built on farcaster, but we couldn't find a path. I've shared reflections in this post https://x.com/SahilDewan/status/2066587393529098534?s=20 personally for me, farcaster has been a special place on the internet, and i hope it continues to take stabs to stay that way and sustain. it was fun building with all of you. thanks for using and supporting openrank and cura. logistics - we'll be sunsetting openrank api's and cura app on 22nd June. If you need help regarding tokens launched on cura, DC us. we're planning to transfer all tokens launched via cura to the original deployers.

The stop motion process is always fascinating to me. ALOT goes into production: storyboarding, animatics, set design, character design, puppet fabrication, painting, modeling, lighting--it really pulls in every single art form and unites them all in production. Here, for our launch of $STOPMO in partnership with @clanker a handful of months ago, Oscar winner Suzanne Twining (Coraline, ParaNorman, Wendell & Wild, etc) used a downshooter, which means the camera is suspended above her and everything is animated on its side using rigs and stands. Below, I've included the animatic as well, which is essential to production. In stop motion, an entire days work yields roughly 3-5 seconds of useable footage, which is why its important to clearly map out whats happening in the scene so animators aren't wasting time animating something that will not get used, hereby eliminating "cutting room floor" waste so to speak.
