people have like mixed opinions about that word but just to summarize like people who are creating content on farcaster across a variety of different things right casting writing podcasting creating videos doing a little bit of everything nfts trying to just get a better understanding of kind of how people think about farcaster what he was by and i think we're doing that both here but also you know video calls and stuff like that and so the big push is to get to a place where we understand the key pain points for folks that are crypto native crypto curious that are creating content whether they're full time or or part time and then trying to solve that through a combination of product but also just you know spending a little bit more time of like tlc paying attention when those people are posting giving coaching of like hey maybe consider posting like this or like you know posting this channel or or that kind of stuff and so i think it's really about education things but i this we're not trying to do any partnerships with anyone here

and i couldn't be more bullish on and i and i said this as much but i just continue to repeat it this is the most bullish macro environment for cricket that i've had in ten years like people are actually
you know they can build what they want right and and they're gonna not have the scc be like oh you're a legitimate project trying to do the right thing here's like a notice and you know all these cases going away like i think that that is not the market hasn't digested that in and if i was to kind of fast forward over the next six to twelve months like i think you're just gonna have a lot of very talented people that's it people already building in crypto are talented if anything people are sticking out like they have the right mindset all that but i do think there are a lot of people that are gonna realize oh wait i could actually go build uber with a with a token and do it if i'm doing it the right way like i'm not gonna be like blocked from doing stuff and is that gonna work who knows but the fact is people weren't even really trying because of the regulatory part and then so i i i think the quality of average new project that you will see coming into crypto over the next twelve months will hold interest and i think that that is a really good thing for farcaster and everyone else who's who's building

i mean it's awesome i i've just i've been to every single denver just being in denver so i've been here since the start when it was just three story building with a bunch of sweaty engineers cooking all day so to come around and see this and you know not that in a long of time and then to see things like the base booth and the uniswap it's in it's incredible and the base team has just really went all out for it so it's really fun and the energy is amazing probably the best i've seen in a few years
and you've got a tournament going
yeah so we have a tournament giving away shirts prizes but really testing out a lot of like this new stuff that we're working on with the farcade it's allowing anyone to run these one time events with a collection of all of our games and yeah everybody really likes it

it's so fun and we're gonna do a little tournament on saturday too at the gm park astro brunch so if you're gonna be there you'll be able to jump in and and learn a little more about that and we're gonna be giving some prizes away and robin tell us what you guys are you just launched something new and you're over there demoing it can you tell a little bit about that
yeah % oh i i just want to quickly add to how cool the the base boost setup is it's the same and i think like one huge difference between last year is last year i think it was very like developer focused yeah it was like docs like you know come build on basis how to do it these are like little things you can you can you can try and i think this year it's you actually see fully fledged apps and experiences that you can actually try and it's it's and i i think cdp the the developer platform has like a has their own boot that's just how big it is

we we introduced an aura reading feature into our mobile app so we have a standalone mobile app in the app store play store and you basically like take a quiz answer some questions and get like a personality assigned and that personality is assigned to the color and that color is applied to your face as a filter and and so that's all cool in the mobile app but what we're really excited about today is we launched that experience as a frame within farcaster so you don't have to like download an external app you can do everything itself contained with the farcaster and you don't you also don't have to like take a quiz to answer questions because yeah

so funny i loved what you were talking about too we were in the booth earlier and you were talking about like having to build this out if you're building this out on an app app store all the changes you're doing all the integrations it would be much so much harder
yeah like so much of building apps is redoing the same thing over and over it's authentication and the downloads and the screenshots for the app store and it's so tedious and like what a waste of time a lot of time so it's in your builder and maybe you just have like a really fun idea like the r ad you wanna like get that in front of users frames and mini apps are just the best way to get users very quickly and something i'm really obsessed with with the farcade is i won't be able to show send you a game and you can play in one click like and that's possible with frames it's not possible with the mobile app it's not possible with these other things so i love it because i just get to start at step 10 versus step zero and zero to 10 is not inconsequential like it's a lot of time that's a lot of stuff that adds really zero value to your business but things you have to do and so frames just really allow you to like leapfrog so much stuff and especially even weird things like notifications notifications are a pain to build and just to be able like notify users that the game's live or your friend challenged you i'm i'm obsessed with it that's why we don't have a native app we don't really plan on having one because we love just being able to be on top of like distribution and these ecosystems already
and you found like similar like being able to get your users like just you know you have this core group of folks who are willing to try things
just to
try them and to give you feedback and to be like hey this isn't working whatever
yeah
and like you can't find that in many other areas you've got a lot of early adopters who are just hanging out
yeah % and it's just like like you said it's like a one click there's so little friction like here we're you know the wi fi isn't very good like the the service isn't that good and so some people they just like they're kinda hanging on the app just the app download

part where it's like if you already have forecaster you're basically just like launching a website with a with
a frame
so yeah all that all that pushing goes away
i think that's something that's a message that needs to get out a little more especially with v two and i think that's probably some of what linda's working on now and ted and like how can we get this message out that like hey this is a really good place to build if you're building something like a consumer app because it's gonna save you're you're gonna be able to test things and do things so much faster
i'm sure
i think that's just the name of the game right now too like we as consumers have so little like like we if there's any friction we're out like we don't have any appetite like patience for that anymore like we need really good experiences and we need them very fast and so you have to impress someone in the first five seconds yeah like that's basically all you have and the more you can tap into like apps already spending time on like warpcast and telegram like my sister never used warpcast before she had the account because we told her to get one but now that's her top app used every week because she plays geocrush all the time and now she's like engaged
she's like she's listed as a creator too she's like

yeah she's she's the builder of geocrush
so
she was getting love from our from our chat when you were on when you were on before like they were like we love geocrush
yes and it's awesome and so it's like your top use app now not only because she's playing the game but now she's like in the ecosystem and i was like it's really a great you know proof point of how like onboarding how like games or like frames that can onboard people into warp cast and into these ecosystems is it's just so frictionless and then all of a sudden you find yourself coming back to check your aura or who to avoid

that was a user error skill issue by the user who was not us
one more one more plug i'll make for for for the frame was it was it took us a week to build the frame like it it literally be building a week the mobile app took a a a like many more weeks and just a just a different like right now we're kinda juggling both both platforms and it's just so much easier to do everything in the frame iterations be so much faster sometimes we make little changes in the app store that like it just it it takes at least like twenty four hours for them to approve it and if they don't approve then it's like another waiting cycle and so it's just been like a game changer so if anyone's like wondering if they should if they should check it out or
if they're
if you're willing to dive in you should definitely go on
for it
i think it's an essential if you want distribution discovery yeah and it the the reality is like robin's saying it's it's not that hard to build it's really easy to build creative stuff farcaster rewards you heavily for just being experimenting and making something fun everybody here loves to reshare like and engage with this stuff and so like even if you're building a standalone app you should absolutely have a frame as like a marketing and distribution discovery tool so i think i definitely see them but for us they're the whole they're the whole thing but for other apps it could easily just be a marketing or distribution channel where it is like this is a companion feature to get you to our app
i was talking to adam from opensea last night and i said like just at least have a minting frame that has more dynamic too because it's like oh we had this one i'm like that was v one i'm like here's what and i opened up arcade here's v two what are you know like

this is like this is what you can do i'm like even you know they could even do a game with their assets oh hundred and have like you know the little thing that you're shooting instead is like the open you know whatever it it could be there's so many opportunity there like to to integrate other brands into games and things like that and have fun with it so yeah i'm i'm desperately waiting for novels in a game and it's coming that's

yeah so i saw jesse's video but i saw it on farcaster and farcaster's very positive so i thought that he did a great job and i was like oh great one person accepted like this is great and then i saw it on x and he was getting slaughtered and i was like oh my god but then i also thought oh i wanna do this at the track and i was like okay why am i limiting this just to the track like how about just going out on the street and giving it a go like he did so i just went to a local university and i was like students are probably gonna be a bit more open minded when it comes to this stuff and i went over to people literally everyone was super open and they accepted the coins i gave them and the video did pretty well so it was a very fun experience

yeah it's kind of it yeah you could think of it as a i mean this is it was like a competition market yeah exactly so we didn't want to use prediction markets in the past for primarily regulatory reasons

but with the new administration like we're we're we actually are shifting everything in bracket and bracket to prediction markets so you can think of it as like a skin it's a different way of interfacing with a prediction market

know so rather than watching the percents move we we conceptualize it as like prices and make it feel more like robinhood
