For many L2s, a significant portion of TVL comes from a native token (the red section of TVL in the below graphic from L2Beat) It's pretty cool to see how big Base has gotten in such a small amount of time without one Base has no plans to issue a new network token and 100% of Base's total value comes from its communities, creators and builders

This week will be the first week in over a month where the Base team won't be increasing the gas target, why? On Wednesday fault proofs go live on Base, moving the entire network toward Stage 1 Decentralization. This change is a huge milestone because it allows anyone to deposit and withdraw funds to/from Base via Ethereum without having to rely on any centralized actors. Base is for everyone.
