29 Seconds of Farcaster ... What did you miss this weekend? Ok, we are going to need an announcement because I can't fill 29 Seconds anymore...yet alone what /gmfarcaster has to do... On that note, @cassie has heard nothing on her proposal and assumes that means someone else is buying FC & the hard fork is going forward. Read more here: https://farcaster.xyz/cassie/0xdea9eb05 If you haven't seen Farfeld Episode 2 from @kenjiquest please do so: https://farcaster.xyz/kenjiquest/0x93fccc64 I haven't seen a /gmfarcaster post for today which usually means @adrienne & @nounishprof are altering the schedule so I'm thinking they are on tomorrow but keep an eye out

Seeing so much Dolly love on the feed, figured some of you might like this brilliant podcast series about her with talking a good bit: Also Ken Burns Country Music documentary, the episode on the '70s has a lot about her in a great episode. https://www.wnycstudios.org/podcasts/dolly-partons-america

Gotta give them what they want... 29 Seconds of The Community Call * No matter what happens, FC lives on through Quorum & Hypersnap, @cassie is fully committed * Focus rn is making an offer to become the steward, merge the FC client & Quorum into a lean, inexpensive, high feature client * Interesting discussion of FC glory days resembling early days of Reddit or HackerNews w/o the cringe. Cassie mentioned building a hybrid Discord w/ Reddit w/ Twitter. Others talked about a client that feels like Discord, feels like Twitter, etc * Two bright spots (imo) were @royalaid talking about the need to make onboarding easier & the importance of getting rid of friction so someone could be on FC in a minute. And @flanneldonut telling her story of what FC means to her as 'just a normal user' & her ideas to support FC were a reminder of why we are all here * About 100 listeners, good energy, some good thoughts, lots of dev/tech stuff. I think the big question is: what happens if Cassie's proposal isn't the winner.

Seems promising 📈 https://farcaster.xyz/farcaster/0x8b9d4836 * BETR with @burr.eth is the new Bracky, bringing some much-needed March Madness fun to FC--95 players & 255 brackets are fighting for 100 million $BETR as we head to the Sweet Sixteen. (Don't sleep on BETR With Burr 📈 ) * Not everything is 📈 , @surgelabs & @clankermon are shutting down 😔 * @rish shared some Farcaster & Neynar thoughts that apparently were being questioned: https://farcaster.xyz/rish/0x07a306d1 * There was a hack day at Coinbase NYC and a thread of the kinds of projects that can be created in a day by 15 devs: https://farcaster.xyz/myk/0x4f3dc442 * Oh, and I almost forgot...DOGGOS! The Farcaster dogs took over the feed yesterday, which is always fun 🐾 * It may be slower here, but there's always stuff happening, and that keeps @adrienne & @nounishprof in business. /gmfarcaster is live at 11:30 AM EST for a full recap and shenaniganinal fun. 💜 (Note: /gmfarcaster has FarCon Rome media blitz sponsorships available: https://farcaster.xyz/nounishprof/0x1a86a8b8)

After watching Farcasters try to count this weekend, I’m wary of sufficiently decentralized social media and it’s likely success. 🤦 I appreciate the @farcaster intern’s attempt to get us to lineup for introductions of the 1000 of us, but boy it was like herding cats…😜 https://media2.giphy.com/media/v1.Y2lkPTZjMDliOTUyaDk4YjExYWpmemdudWVnb3RhdWg3OHpreG9rY2EzdXY5Yjkwd2sycSZlcD12MV9pbnRlcm5hbF9naWZfYnlfaWQmY3Q9Zw/cRMgB2wjHhVN2tDD2z/giphy.gif

29 Seconds of Farcaster ... What did you miss this weekend? * Let's start with good news for vibe coders, Claude is doubling usage in off-peak hours for the next two weeks: https://x.com/claudeai/status/2032911276226257206 * @limone.eth announced a Farcaster Agent Bootcamp starting March 30th, details: https://farcaster.xyz/limone.eth/0x2d3d7a0e * FC is experimenting with better discovery for mini apps and easier building: https://farcaster.xyz/rish/0x5ce76a75 * @vitalik.eth shared a 'New Ethereum Mandate' here: https://farcaster.xyz/vitalik.eth/0xc1b2050c and @jacek shared a previews of Degen 2026: https://farcaster.xyz/jacek/0x98f1e3dc * BETR with @burr.eth mini app released a new game called Letter Loops and will likely have a big week with plans for March Madness 🏀 * /gmfarcaster is back at 11:30 AM EST for all your FC news and lots of fun with @adrienne & @nounishprof ...around noon they will be joined by @atown to talk about his project @tryemerge that is all over the timeline.

The demise of projects and mini apps seems to be contagious and spreading throughout Farcaster like a cold through an elementary school. Let's also recognize that there is pervasive surviving & thriving of apps that simply don't get a special announcement. @betrmint - supporting creators & building community @gmfarcaster - enough said @word-a-day - taking the timeline by storm BETR with @burr.eth - starting to carve out a space @qrcoindotfun - keeping attention alive in the bear /glanker - shoutout @diviflyy & @yerbearserker @sopha - curating the great stuff and many others...shoutout to the builders that are thriving!

29 Seconds of Farcaster ... What did you miss this weekend? It continues to be quiet, but notable things continue as well--some good, some bad... On the bad, the biggest news is that $BRACKY is on the verge of shutting down, with this update from @tldr | https://farcaster.xyz/tldr/0x82e584b2 On the good, you have a chance to support one of the FC stalwarts @kenny & poidh ... For the next 8 hours (let's say 2 PM EST to be safe), Kenny is getting 4x to any support from 'Funding the Commons Frontier Fund' competition and he has a $10 item ready to go for your support that will 4x for poidh. Details here: https://farcaster.xyz/kenny/0xe25c9952 @rish announced three features of note: FC now has a form of 'reply bumping' to help surface replies from people you know and Neynar Studio can now build apps that deploy NFTs. Also Neynar Studio rewards good prompters and app creators with app credits. If you aren't here as much, @sopha continues to be a good way to keep up without as much effort---check out the "Curated" feed for wider interesting casts and "The Pulse" for the pulse of Farcaster in a few casts a day. /gmfarcaster is back today at 11:30 AM EST. Join @adrienne & @nounishprof for news and fun to keep you up to date. 💜

Wanted to publicly thank @tldr @passafiume.eth @maxp.eth for 13 months of fun, a nice little financial reward for following something I love, and for showing us how to build in this crazy new world. And, some out-of-the-box thoughts on BRACKY 2.0... The product is gold. The market is unstoppable. But this isn't Field of Dreams, it's time to go get the next generation of users. 1. College students who are rabid sports fans. Call me crazy, but I think a few hundred college students buying $100 worth of $BRACKY and a subset making a few hundred dollars--and a smaller subset making a coupe thousand would be a huge start to a growing virality as a fun side gig to fellow students and sports fans and spread to family and friends and alumini. It's starts with a few hundred and builds to thousands (I know it sounds good, but it will take real work) How? Well, we need a couple videos to send people to...a good 30-1 min that captures the magic and persuades--a College Gameday style snippet And then we need a longer video with some of us telling our stories about BRACKY--how we got started, what we made, how much time, how much fun, how social--- thinking about @deriniti @arob1000 @degen-chad me and others. So, we have the website, these two videos, and socials...what about the hundreds...? We go get them. tldr gives a presentation on Blockchain and Sports at UNC and Louisville and who knows where else. I think you take some VC money if you have it and hire someone to draw up the plan, facilitate, direct, gather help, and do some of the work (alongside Tim). If the whole team doesn't go forward maybe you pick up some money for this spot. Figure out the digital and the in person. In person, creatively get on site for football games and bball games outside the stadium. Set up a booth, do some fun promotion. Introduce students (and others) to $BRACKY. Onboard at tailgates with the right pitch. Digitally, find the places these students hang out and creatively get involved, be valuable, and when appropriate pitch them BRACKY. Maybe a program where a limited number of students can become ambassadors on campus. They prove their staying power and they can start onboarding for $20 worth of BRACKY credit. Maybe a program that's broader and anyone who proves their worth can onboard 5 people who stay for a while and get $100 worth of BRACKY. Maybe this turns into a pilot program of bringing a UNC market with some baseball, basketball, football, gymnastics...you can see this in the SEC, right? Working out the plan would take some time, there are more ideas. But hopefully this gives a feel. I'll stop there for now. 2. Fanduel and Fantasy Sports audience. This is harder. So I think college students is easier to find and create ideas. But same thing applies here. Go to the places they are--digitally and in real life. Booth at a fantasy sports conference? Sure, maybe. Sports Betting convention? Sure. Again, a lot more work would need to be done for the plan. But hopefully this is enough of taste to consider it. I feel like the $BRACKY ship has already sailed, but I took your request for ideas seriously and wanted to share them. We need to go get people. This is true across blockchain projects, but in the case of BRACKY as opposed to most others, you actually have the product and the market. No questions asked. Can you get the people. Ray Consella won't help us here. We need some energy going out to the audience(s) and bring them to Iowa. Cheers to the team whatever you decide. If anyone else made it this far, cheers 🍻 BRACKY is dead. Long live BRACKY! AMA

hey @bracky whatever happens, @bertwurst.eth and I love you. 💜 can we have your email to connect offchain?

29 Seconds of Farcaster ... What did you miss this weekend? It was pretty quiet, but here are a few things definitely of note: * @afrochicks continues to kill it on X with a new gym bot & this morning just released a beginner's guide to vibe coding; check out this: https://farcaster.xyz/afrochicks/0x841f8096 & this: https://x.com/afrochicksnft/status/2025895116745896271 * @cassie had an X space last night to discuss forking and decentralization; you can listen to it here: https://x.com/i/spaces/1yGBeMMVEAoKN/peek * @betrmint has a huge art context running with $4,000 in prizes for their upcoming v3 with infinite rounds; details: https://farcaster.xyz/toadyhawk.eth/0xab48ca95 * ETH Denver has come and gone. I didn't see much, but @kmacb.eth summary that Beeple had the exhibition right--pretty scarce, but as always, the people and gatherings were worth the price of admission. @thedude @bribe would confirm--the purple people vibe was high 💜 https://farcaster.xyz/kmacb.eth/0x648db7d6 * /gmfarcaster is back! after a week off. 11:30 AM EST ... is there a polymarket on how long the catch-up show will take? Join @adrienne & @nounishprof to find out all the purple vibes and news

hard for me to see how forks are good for a fledgling social/builder network. but I’m trying to learn. of course I went through 3 nouns forks so maybe I have ptsd.

29 Seconds of Farcaster ... What did you miss this weekend? * It was $QR 1 year anniversary with @jake sharing some lore & the first post about the project ... if you are new here, $QR is regularly the #1 mini app on FC, capturing attention for a 'link of the day' that wins the auction * $BETR continued to spread the fun with BETR with @burr.eth Super Bowl Squares and Super Bowl props. I haven't seen all the winners yet, but 70 Million $BETR is headed out AND the BETR with burr games are going to continue! * @tldr released a new $BRACKY feature where anyone can spin up a potential market in a tweet or cast--a clanker is launched and if it hits 60K, it becomes a live market on BRACKY. I believe 3 or 4 such markets for the Super Bowl made it live * @streetphoto created a Farcaster Feedback mini app with upvoting that @rish shared in approval making me think the team will be looking at the feedback https://farcaster.xyz/rish/0x66b37777 * /gmfarcaster is off today as @nounishprof is on a cruise trying to onboard normie friends to FC and @adrienne is searching for new words for her mini app she's building, but they'll be back tomorrow with special guest @mleejr to talk $DRB on the Clankcaster Spotlight

29 Seconds of Farcaster ... What did you miss this weekend? * Wondering why there are crustacean agents all over your feed? Me too. I found this explanation from @afrochicks very helpful | https://farcaster.xyz/afrochicks/0x77e26271 and this perspective from @tldr https://farcaster.xyz/tldr/0x6082d68d * $NATIVE project is done. There was a lot of talk and a variety of takes. I have a busy day and I'm not going to take the time for a full breakdown. Here are two casts that I think represent 'each side.' https://farcaster.xyz/derek/0x91569383 https://farcaster.xyz/nfthreat.eth/0x73596601 * There is a $BNKR & $CLANKER thing going on that I think is best left to the experts on /gmfarcaster but this made sense to me and was approved by others as a good explanation: https://farcaster.xyz/nyor/0x3e4a9561 * @jihad is back and in his 'return' cast, he dropped this gem, which resonated with lots of folks: 'Farcaster is prosumer social media. It’s for the founders, the tinkerers, the hustlers who are at the frontier and want to be around others like them. There is no other place like it on the internet.' * On the fun side, @madyak shipped this mini app, I believe his first, called FarMap, with the location of your followers and those following https://farcaster.xyz/madyak/0xeac79137 * Feels like a lot happened this weekend and it was in-depth, I would recommend more than ever watching @adrienne & @nounishprof today at 11:30 AM EST to keep afloat. Plus the have @matthew fox on the Clanker Spotlight to talk $CLANKERMON project 💜

This is cool. gg @horsefacts.eth & @linda and @v taking over the top 5 on your final week. Symbolic thank you for your service to FC 💜

29 Seconds of Farcaster ... What did you miss this weekend? * It was a slow weekend, but I would be remiss if I didn't say $butttaps was the top story for the second weekend in a row. BRACKY chose @drivenbyboredom as the 'Butt Oracle' to determine the veracity of possible butt taps in the 2 NFL games, despite @tldr wanting Vitalik. @deriniti was the 'butt tap queen' spotting them left and right. It was a slow weekend of butt taps, but 6 was the final tally--paying the 6-10 of the $BRACKY market. * For those now thinking 'we are not serious people,' it was interesting to see @fredwilson.eth not only excited about the Neynar acquisition but also release a mini app with Neynar App Studio that pulls music from the last 2500 casts of your followers * People are excited about clawdbot; And @schedly jumped onto the scene with a mini app release that lets you have multiple users, multiple accounts, and schedule content. Much interest in who the team is, and they said in a reply that we would learn today * @patriciaxlee.eth shared a great video & praise for the opening of the @nodefoundation in Palo Alto led by @phil | https://farcaster.xyz/patriciaxlee.eth/0x46037f01 * /gmfarcaster is back today at 11:30 AM EST with special guest @db to talk Intori. Join @adrienne & @nounishprof for news and fun to get caught up on Farcaster 💜

This is gold. @derek 'FC is the most successful subreddit of all time' @tldr 'Sometimes subreddits change the world' (see WallStreetBeats) Context: We were talking Tuesday during a @sopha community call about mental models to think about FC. Is it a new frontier? Is it more like an early Google-style work place? Both were not received as satisfactory on the call. All illustrations/metaphors breakdown, but I like the modernization of the most successful subreddit of all time as a mental model to consider for FC. (cc: @chriscocreated @jonathancolton @naaate @ezincrypto @naomiii )

29 Seconds of Farcaster ... What did you miss this weekend? * So.... $butttaps became a thing. 🤷‍♂️ @tldr asked for fun & eye-catching ideas for $BRACKY in the NFL Playoffs & the mad genius @dawufi came up with, among other things, how many butt taps would be televised. A token launched, $10K market cap required to get a $BRACKY market was well exceeded & so there you have it: a BRACKY market for $butttaps ; tldr crowdsourced 'proof of tap' for 1M $butttaps each (~$25) & the timeline was pretty active & people were hyped 🍑 * For slightly more serious folks, @deployer explained giving BANKR plugins to claude leading to $claude & $think ... explanation here: https://farcaster.xyz/deployer/0x5447e6af * @woj announced the release of app.fun to help vibe coders grow their app * @chriscocreated released 'The Pulse' from @sopha (curated by yours truly)-- a way to keep up on the pulse of Farcaster in a few casts a day | https://farcaster.xyz/chriscocreated/0x6321a1ae * And if you missed it @toadyhawk.eth gave an impressive review of $BETR for 2025 and where it's headed in 2026 | https://farcaster.xyz/toadyhawk.eth/0x553120a6 * /gmfarcaster is back at 11:30 AM EST for all your news & shenanigans with @adrienne & @nounishprof plus special guest @igoryuzo.eth 💜

29 Seconds of Farcaster ... What did you miss this weekend? * We learned that @quotient Creator Leaderboard & Rewards will be back this week, starting tomorrow, sponsored by... $BETR 💜 * @bracky released a new distribution method where BRACKY MAX holders (10M+) were granted 'free' shares of teams in the NFL Playoffs, and in a couple other sports MAX were able to select a team in 'pregame' to get shares. A novel benefit to holders where as bracky put it, other models extract value, BRACKY can give it to holders * @flexasaurusrex has hit it big with his 'REWIND MTV' project created when MTV announced no more videos--check it out here https://farcaster.xyz/flexasaurusrex/0xdb608ecf * @pods sadly announced that they will wind down operations--shifting the site into maintenance mode. Pages and pods will remain but no development or maintenance. Many FCers expressed thanks for their work * @kongsynft shared a new 'ECHO' voice-first mini app which looks interesting--you can check it out here https://farcaster.xyz/kongsynft/0xcac1c7e4 * From what I gather, there is no /gmfarcaster today, but tomorrow instead where @nounishprof & @adrienne will have guest @toadyhawk.eth to talk $BETR ...so note that scheduling

29 Seconds of Farcaster ... What did you miss this weekend? * @deployer launched $deployer on Zora and caused a bit of a stir in the trading world--encouraging people to buy it with BANKR & rewarding people for doing so...market cap around $700K * Speaking of creator coins, @derek added thoughtful content to the discussion, including his thoughts on a DM interaction with @jesse.base.eth | https://farcaster.xyz/derek/0x9045050b * @cassie started rolling out invites to Quorom mobile beta--stated goal: 'the private everything app', and the number of people checking it out was noticeable this weekend * It appears to be client szn on Farcaster as more and more gms and posts from other clients, led by folks like @commstark & @darrylyeo, hitting just about every app over the weekend * There was some stir on Saturday with a certain Nike sweatsuit & maybe a @m00npapi.eth quasi lookalike, but I'll let /gmfarcaster deal with that... * Speaking of /gmfarcaster ... they are back after a break with lots to catch up on ... guest host @burr.eth sitting in for @adrienne and special guest @tldr for this week's Clankcaster Spotlight will all happen with @nounishprof running the ship ... tune in at 11:30 AM EST 💜

29 Seconds of Farcaster ... What did you miss this weekend? * We should've known @bertwurst.eth & @sayangel were up to something with their 'weekends are for pets' quote cast Saturday. Sunday night Bert brought back the vibes with Petlets--companions for your Warplet made of DNA from your two closest friends. Fun to see so many mint and share 🐶 * @myk did a Farcaster Santa livestream on Saturday, making some wishes from his wishlist miniapp dreams come true & joined by @nounishprof ...I wasn't there so I don't know whose wishes came true * @venturetothex has just popped up on the timeline sharing clips from great builders like @jrf & @jake ... don't know if full episodes are coming and more builders, but I'd keep an eye out--great content * @ccarella.eth shared a great Farcaster success story in paying for a house through his earnings and trading during his Farcaster journey. (You won't find the cast. I believe he scrubbed his casts and is starting over). * Lastly, it's worth noting that weekends are always quiet, but two projects keep things buzzing every weekend, even though they don't get highlighted a lot: @betrmint keeps the feed alive with spinning, art contests, and poker. And $BRACKY keeps Farcasters on their toes with whatever sports are live that weekend. So, shoutout * /gmfarcaster is on today at 11:30 AM EST for a full catch-up with @adrienne & @nounishprof & their guest @jake will join them around noon to talk $QR & Farcaster building 💜

29 Seconds of Farcaster ... What did you miss this weekend? * Important reflections from @v 'Are we sufficiently decentralized yet?' | https://farcaster.xyz/v/0x8d86dafb * Have you noticed that $TYSM and its community are on the rise? @nomadicframe is #1 on the new @quotient leaderboard & the mini app is on the rise. I don't know a ton, but it's becoming popular with what I call 'the middle class' of FC--great FCers that aren't the big OG accounts. I've noticed @hankmoody & @milibooo are strong community members * It's been 12 years since the Ethereum White Paper-- @dtso shared the milestone & White Paper | https://farcaster.xyz/dtso/0xbeeca87d * Seems worth noting that @humpty.eth and now @asha are working on building the /cryptosapiens in a home for onchain creators * A little quiet this weekend, but /gmfarcaster will liven things up at 11:30 AM EST with @adrienne & @nounishprof after a week off with lots to catch up on 💜
