tbh i had no idea what a "meta-aggregator" was but after @nonlinear.eth won today's auction for attention @qrcoindotfun, i took a few minutes to learn. 3 things to understand: aggregators, meta-aggregators, and spanDEX. AGGREGATORS: monitor liquidity across multiple DEXes to find the best prices for swapping, reduce slippage, and facilitate more complex swaps. META-AGGREGATORS: monitor across multiple aggregators to offer similar benefits but one level higher, removing centralized risks of a single aggregator being down or broken or just worse compared to another aggregator. (kinda wanna build a meta-meta-aggregator now) spanDEX: is a fully customizable, developer-friendly, and open-source meta aggregator library. I am a big Farcaster guy. Love the app. It’s not without its flaws, of course, but very good and improving dramatically year over year. That said, I am trying to use the Base app more to get a feel for what it’s about and the differences between the two. It’s much newer obviously so it should not be expected to be as polished as Farcaster, and in my opinion it is not, but it is also better than it was a few months ago during the beta, and it will be interesting to see how the two develop forward from here. Farcaster the protocol is now probably the most notable multi-client social network in the brief history of crypto, something I’ve been looking forward to seeing for a long time.

Clanker x $QR experiment: I will not clank the below image “clankton” myself, but if someone does clank it and wins a $QR auction to drive attention to it, I will publicly acknowledge that clankton token as “the one” which I think as the creator of the image and original cast I will have the ability to effectively declare, but even if I did not, it will have won the auction and get a day of attention from thousands on farcaster, so it would almost definitely be “the one” anyway, independent of me personally, as a result of the onchain attention machine. The reason this is somewhat interesting to me is because it allows ANYONE to clank it and have theirs become “the one” even if they do not have a large following, simply by bidding and winning our daily auction for attention, and also of course this can help drive attention to $QR. If you don’t want to clank it yourself you can also back anyone who does’ bid on the auction for as little as $1 to help theirs become the one and if it doesn’t you get your money contributed to the bid back. 300 episodes is a lot of work having done a lot of podcasts myself, i admire that persistence much respect to @nounishprof & @adrienne for @gmfarcaster, the most prolific podcast on farcaster
Why not add the ability to view each other’s holdings as easily as we can view each other’s casts? Just add a tab in the same row as Casts, Replies, Collection, Likes on the profiles page. I think I understand the valid argument for why not (i.e. intentional friction for the sake of privacy) but the recent addition of the “Recent trades” section I think implies the deprioritization of that specific type of privacy, if it can help lead to farcaster growth along with other wallet-focused changes. The information is already public. What happens after it is made much easier for the masses to follow, I don’t know. People may value privacy more then and choose which wallets they connect to their socials more carefully, etc. But I don’t see a need for fc to delay the inevitable at this point. Open to changing my mind. In navigating various pages and wallet things here, especially recent trades section, it just no longer feels like a material add-on as much as it feels like something that is actively missing. Seems very on theme with recent changes in prioritization.

As a result of our notifications system being compromised, some users were tricked into participating in a fake airdrop where they were asked to send 0.0006 ETH in order to receive worthless tokens. There were 302 such transactions in total, all of which have now been reimbursed in full. good morning i am feeling great with my personal X account unlocked we shipped our biggest @qrcoindotfun update yet yesterday it seemed well received and the $QR token is up 70% in the last 24h the challenge remains that bootstrapping a daily auction is really hard! but through 2 months, we've survived, and for more of that time than not, we've thrived so let's see what's in store for month 3 i am optimistic that USDC bidding will expand the range of possible bidders even though conventional wisdom says no one outside of crypto will touch this stuff the fact is, if you have a link you like and want to drive some attention to it for a day, you can bid on our auction even if you don't know anything about wallets or crypto, we made it that easy even if it's not used by normal people, it's important to me to make it at least possible, should they want to everyone else, i encourage you to open qrcoin.fun (mini app) once daily never know when you might discover the next great app/coin/person/etc., early
